I'm 42 years old and received my 2nd exam here. After my visit, they requested me to come back in for a second look on my left breast. I scheduled immediately and the exam that received was EXCRUCIATING!! The tech smashed my breast so hard that I screamed immediately and advised that it was hurting several times and began to cry. The tech then advised to just be still and hold my breath to take the photo. I have never felt that type of pain during any scam & will NEVER be back. They advised that all was well with my left breast but, I'm still suffering from the aftermath a whole month later. read more

I have been to this Plano Willowbend location several times but when I went for a bone density, they sent it out (without my knowledge) to an out-of-network place Singleton Assoc. First of all, this violates the No Surprises act and should be billed as in-network to UHC. I refuse to pay the $14 extra to them as it's a SCAM and a matter of principle. Called them 3 times to tell them to Bill it correctly but they are idiots and keep running the scam. I will find another diagnostic place under UHC as this is shady. read more

This location is easy to find off Parker & has a large parking area. I've been here a few times and I'm always impressed on how patient and helpful the girls working here are. You fill out a questionnaire on an iPad before you go to the small waiting room. The changing rooms are clean and have inspiring messages on the walls. They have small lockers to put your shirt in but no loks so don't leave anything of value in them. Most times your appt time is the actual time you are seen-one time they had a machine malfunction so wait was longer but they did come in an explain the issue which I appreciated. The woman running the machines are friendly and kind. It isn't the most comfortable experience so their attitude helps make it bareable. I got my results in 24 hours. read more

I usually go to the Carrollton location which is great! I had a recall for an abnormal mammogram so had to go to this location. I was quoted $620 for the exam due to my deductible so I asked for the cash pay price which was $330 which I had sent by quote on email. I also work in healthcare and know we also often offer patients with deductible plans to pay out of pocket for labs or imaging etc to save money. When I arrived for the exam and notified the front desk I was paying out of pocket, she was very nasty and rude and said that wasn't allowed, I tried showing her the email, but she said if I paid out of pocket, I could never use insurance EVER again as long as I came there. Problem with billing! Solis turned my balance over to collections after mailing me ONE invoice. I'm now on my 4th call to them to get resolved. I'm asking for collections to be removed and for Solis to resend copy of original invoice so I can get Solis paid. Beware if you have any billing issues with them - even if not your fault or responsibility(!) they are VERY difficult to resolve. read more

They have been great to my 98 year old mother on all her appointments. They accurately diagnosed her and told her more about her condition than her own doctor. I used this facility for my yearly mammogram, and yikes. The registration clerk cannot seem to spell even after providing them with your driver's license. My name is misspelled, and my address is incorrect after asking the receptionist to fix the incorrect entries. In addition, I provided them with my insurance card and uploaded the information during check-in, but it still was not attached to my account. So, guess who received a bill for $700 plus dollars? So, guess who has been on hold for billing over 40 minutes waiting on billing? Now, let's discuss the radiology tech performing the image. Nine years later and my review is the same. Great place. The quality is top notch here. The level of care has been consistent every year. They have a wonderful staff with a calming nature. The X-ray technicians I've had over the years were all experienced, professional and efficient with positioning. The check in, initial waiting area, undressing, 2nd waiting area, taking the images, getting dressed has been in 20 minutes or less. They do have convenient Saturday appointments. I continue to ask for the thyroid guard and that is still the most uncomfortable of the whole experience. Don't be afraid to get a mammogram ladies. Solis will take care of you. read more

It has taken me 5 years to write this review. The doctor at Willow Bend was so horrible to me during my mammogram. I kept asking questions of the staff so they brought in the doctor. The doctor came in mad at me for her having to talk to me. She told me to look at the screen and then said "see that, that is breast cancer. You will need chemo..." I was so shocked, but she did get me to quit asking questions. She wanted to schedule my biopsy and I told her should would never touch me again. NEVER should a doctor doing a screen tell someone they have cancer!!! I did have breast cancer with a double mastectomy and chemo, but it was not her place to tell me and especially in that way. I went to UTSW and had an amazing and compassionate experience. read more

It's always nice and clean. Of course there are other women there, but we're all there for the same preventative care. I love how the lockers have the names of celebrities on them. On the walls in the changing rooms are positive quotes. Nice environment and the staff is always friendly. No pictures because it's a personal experience. read more

Came to Solis for my regular screening mammogram and had a great experience. The appointment was easy to make online and I was seen pretty much right away. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the appointment was quick. I had my results by email within 24 hours. Definitely recommend. read more

Been dealing with an issue since October last year. Dr wrote order for my yearly mammogram. I go get it, his name is on the invoice as referring doctor. They keep billing me saying, I wasn't referred. I'm like WHAT!! So I decided to get a mammogram myself and somehow my DR's name magically appears as referring doctor. So they find out, he did refer me, now they're asking for an authorization code that no one has any idea what they are talking about not even the doctor. So the doctors office calls them and they say oh, everything is good with this patient. So they have been sending me bills for 7 months, the latest one last week saying the bill is going to collections and I spoke with someone yesterday and his everything is ok? No it's not ok. They are trying to figure it all out. What a shit show!! Never again and I'll talk everyone I know into not using this place. The workers are really nice but the aftermath isn't worth it!! read more

What ever you do , DO NOT go to this facility. DO to a facility that is not on hospital grounds lie the one on Parker in West Plano. I know lot about medicare billing and these people really screwed up my billing. I did not know that I will get a bill from Medical city Pano even though no where in their paper wok says this to be the case. I never got a statement from them and one day medical city Plano calls me and says I have a 600 dollars bill for bone density scan (Really?). They said that they had billed medicare but they did not have a EOB (statement sent by medicare). I had provided all the information at the time of the study. When I called Solis they took no responsibility for the screw up. They asked me to call "singleton which is their radiologist company. Medical City of Plano has never sent me a statement even though they have my address. I will update this as I deal with these people who take no responsibility for not filing the claim. read more

I have never had an issue with this location until this particular appointment, 7/8/24. I checked in as usual and filled out the "has anything changed since last year" questionnaire on their Ipad. On this questionnaire, there is a question that asks if you are experiencing any pain or discomfort in any or both breasts. I answered yes. I had (and still have as I write this) a burning sensation in my right breast. Anyway, I get called by a member of the front office staff to head to the 2nd step of the process which is; of course, the changing/waiting area. I change and am waiting my turn (had been waiting 15 minutes) when the same front office staffer asks to speak to me. I'm thinking there's a problem with my insurance or something. She walks me to the front office area with my "boob cape" still on (we were not in the main waiting area when you first walk in but the side area that you can access by going through the main waiting room door where everyone still has to pass to go on to Step 2 --which is the change and wait station. This employee proceeds to relay a message to me from the Solis doctor on duty that I can't be seen, because I have a pain in my breast and I need to schedule an appointment to see my PCP so that she can run her diagnostics, send the results back to this West Plano Solis location, then I can reschedule and get my mammogram. I could neither get mad at the messenger nor tell her my concerns because she's the front office help. What can she do? My confusion is that I am literally sitting in a place that examines breasts. I feel at ease, confident because I know the Solis folk will have some answers for me at a later date once they study their images. They have a question on their intake/check-in form that asks if you're experiencing any pain in any of them. You answer honestly and get sent home? Without any screening?? I wasn't getting surgery. They weren't treating anything. They are just taking 3D images! This doesn't make sense to me. My pain started the week before this appointment and I didn't worry about it because I knew I had my annual mammo the following week and thought they would at least look at it through their 3D imaging and get in contact with my doctor. It's not like I had been dealing with this pain for weeks or months. If that had been the case, I would have immediately contacted my PCP for next steps. Moral of the story: I should have lied. Then maybe I would have been seen. This is not over. I will be contacting corporate because this is not okay. I am very disappointed in my experience at this location. After July 8, 2024, I will be transferring my records of over 10 years from this location to another location. read more

This is my third time coming here for my annual checkup. I scheduled my appointment for 6:00 am. I had no idea they opened this early for appointments. Definitely a plus. I was told I could check in at 5:45. On my appointment day, I arrived about 5:30 but I sat in my car until 5:45. I got out my car and went to the door and it was locked. I knocked a few times and no one came to the door. Finally about 5:48, a woman came to the door and let me in. I would think she would have greeted me when she opened the door but all she did was unlock the door and walk away. I opened the door and walked in. Her back turned the entire time. When she got behind the counter, she never spoke but handed me paperwork to fill out. I was going to sit down and fill it out but she told me to stay at the front desk to fill it out. Before sitting down I asked her for her name and she said Magaly. I sat in the lobby for about five minutes before being called back for my mammogram. I kept thinking to myself, she is in the wrong position. Maybe she was having a bad morning, but if you are working the front desk, you should at least greet everyone. Smh Becky, is the one that gave me my mammogram. She has a great personality and she is the perfect person for this position. I hope I get her again if I decided to come back next year. My only disappointment is I never received my results. I was told I should have them by 3:00pm the same day. I will have to call back on Monday to have them sent to me. They told me they couldn't do a diagnostic exam without images AFTER I was undressed and ready to go (after the hour past my appointment) A heads up prior to my appointment- something like- " we don't have your actual physical hard copy slides" would have been so helpful! My first diagnostic mammogram ever. I HAD NO IDEA my Dr. hadn't sent what I needed. My Dr said they sent over all the info they had. Solis said I could only get the hard copy Original slides from the original radiologist. A big lack of communication. The wait was ridiculous regardless. Very poor customer service experience. Solis did not (not this location site) but Solis opted NOT to follow my doctor's orders and did something that was not expected and gave very poor excuse and reasonable diagnosis and poor reasons for not following doctor's orders. HOWEVER, at the 5920 West Parker site, I had a VERY good experience. Doctor came in and explained what was going with details of why and how- THIS is a great example of good customer service! Kudos to Ms Teresa and the doctor! THANK YOU. No man wants to visit these type offices - but if it's necessary, I strongly encourage visiting this location. Getting a mammogram is one of the most nerve wracking events a woman goes through each year, and especially if she has a strong history of breast cancer in her immediate family. The staff are all polite and professional here. It's the wait time that kills me. They are ALWAYS behind as we all sit in a room with several other women in drapes that are immodest with the first wrong turn. The lockers were out of service somehow at my last visit too. There is nothing personal or welcoming about the experience here except for the main waiting room before they make you wait in a state of undress with 6 other women. THAT is the area that should be the most comfortable and inviting. I'll be looking for somewhere else next year. read more

I was scheduled for a mammogram & bone density scan and was instructed to arrive 20 minutes early. I undressed from the waist up and sat and waited and waited, watching person after person come in and go in before me. I got called back for a bone density scan at 2:00. Only to be surprised to learn that if I had buttons or zippers on my pants, I'd have to unbutton & unzip my pants. After doing so, my pants were then requested to be pulled down to a point where I was very exposed & uncomfortable. After one scan, the attendant went out and got someone else, and they were in the room with me, lying there in all my glory. The attendant finally placed a paper towel over me. Once the bone density scan was completed, I was taken to yet another waiting room, and there sat a woman who said her appointment had been at 1:00. I was called back rather quickly for my mammogram, and it was boom & done! I don't know if it's just Mondays are bad days or what--but it was exhausting. I should have been given scrubs. read more

A few months ago I felt lumps in my left breast and my primary physician recommended me to solis for a breast sonogram. I got my estimate--around $150 after insurance. Totally fine with me, my grandmother passed because she waited too long to get her lumps checked out. I'm broke but can shell out a bit of money to make sure I'm healthy. I go in, get the ultrasound. I told the tech that I only had lumps in my left breast but she told me she wanted to check the right first to see what felt normal for me. She gave me the news that everything was fine and I went on with my life. This week I received a bill and I was charged twice for the sonogram. Upon closer inspection I notice I was charged individually PER BREAST. I did not consent to this, and the total was double what I had been quoted. I called to ask about it and was told "it's not the service you requested but it's the service you received," even though I had not consented to this and would have told her not to check my right breast had I known it would cost me an extra $200. I wish I would have known what a greedy place Solis Mammography is before I had gone or I would've gone elsewhere. I'm so tired of the greed within the US healthcare system and I'm sickened by the fact that they're trying to take advantage of a young woman just starting off on her own. My advice, go anywhere BUT Solis. read more

If you only need a routine mammogram this is a good option. However, if there is an issue, which you do not know in advance, it is questionable what type of service you will receive. Scheduled for the wrong test. Took numerous calls to get through to a manager and over a week for the Radiologist to call to discuss the issue. Asked for my disc to be forwarded to Dr in Florida. After being told 2x it was sent and a request from the imaging center as well, it still wasnt received. Customer care were doing their best it seemed but if I did have a major issue their lack of proper response could have meant the difference between life and death. I hope the care provided is better than their billing. The Plano, TX Office demanded that I pay for my diagnostic mammogram in full, even though they have my insurance information. My insurance pays 100% with zero deductible. Then they billed my insurance... FOUR times, so far. They have been paid by my insurance, but they continue to send bills to my insurance, trying to get more money. And I can't get them to refund the $600+ that I was charged in error. I had my first mammogram today! I was nervous and scared and have been putting it off for 5 months (since my 40th birthday), BUT it is SO necessary and SO important. Take the time for YOU! I was in fantastic hands and have complete respect and trust in everyone who had a part in my care today. I had no discomfort and normal results, hooray! Everything goes well till you get a cancer diagnostic and you need your records in a rush to be treated by an oncologist/surgeon. First you need to get a sale pitch of nurse service vis a phone call (apparently it is the protocol) even if you don't need it and then they don't have a way to expedite your records. All you hear is that a standard 3 days is required. The office personnel are simply rude and they won't help you in any way. They say they will call you when ready ! Again all is fine if you don't have cancer but if you do, good luck dealing with them. It is an impossible task and they won't help you whatsoever. Finally got the record but previous scanned missing. Had to go back next day and they wouldn't do it !!! So frustrating. Will **NEVER** recommend them to anyone. read more

I was referred to Solis by a breast doctor because I found a lump in my right breast after doing a self check. The breast doctor found two lumps. One lump on my right breast and another near my armpit on my left breast. I was convinced that I had breast cancer and angry at myself for not being more diligent about conducting self breast checks. My breast doctor told me it didn't look clinically significant, which is just a fancy way of saying " there probably isn't a problem". I remembered that I had been in a severe car crash a year prior that had almost killed me. I was severely hurt and had to take leave from work. The accident left huge contusions on my breasts due to the airbags and my boobs hitting the steering wheel. I googled breast lump and car crash and found " Fat Necrosis", which is dead tissue from trauma. Anyhow, Solis Mammography was a great facility and I loved the atmosphere ( even though I'm sure most women dread mammograms). The nurses knew I was fairly young for a mammogram and treated me with so much kindness and consideration. The nurses kept me in the loop while they were examining me and they showed me the dense areas of my breasts. The Ultrasound Tech was able to see 2 lumps on my right breast. She told me immediately that I shouldn't worry because they were oil cysts or Fat Necrosis! I diagnosed myself! After the mammogram and ultrasound the radiologist who is also referred to as the Doctor, confirmed that they were benign. That day everything seemed a lot brighter and I have Solis to thank for making me feel safe and very well taken care of by their wonderful staff. I'm not sure why they are not rated higher, but I had a fantastic experience and I would refer other women to this facility. read more

This was my first mammogram- hearing good things about Solis-and getting a recommendation from my MD I just went with Solis. They called to schedule the appointment and took my insurance information and not one time did anyone tell me they are out of network with Aetna and I would be charged for what is supposed to be a free service. I know ultimately it is my responsibility to check insurance and I will make sure to do so next time! On top of the bill, the experience was humiliating. The staff were nice enough but not overly informative. I arrived early for my appointment and waited 45 minutes to be called back and one in the back, waited another 30 minutes- sitting in a room half naked (well with paper gown top) with 5 or 6 other women. At this point it is over an hour from my scheduled appointment time. The lockers were not in use and so I just had to hold all my clothes and my bag which of course I dropped all over the floor when I was finally called back for the mammogram. Make sure and check your insurance because they are not going to be up front with you! read more

The Wife found a lump in her breast and we were able to see a doctor and they recommended us to Solis Mammography. We arrived late but the lady at the front desk lady said it was no big deal. She was super nice and was able to get the mammogram order from The Wife's doctor fairly quickly. We didn't know what to expect. I'd always heard the term "Boob squish" and that it was uncomfortable, but the description from my wife was more of a boob smash from the Hulk. She said when the first image was getting set up, the tech just let the clamp close on her boob like a bear trap and she said several choice words and politely asked the tech to release the tension in the clamp slower for the following three images. I asked her if it was like getting punched in the boob and she said worse. For those of you guys who don't know, getting punched in the boob is similar to getting kicked in the nuts. After the cursing, the next three images and boob smashes were not as shocking but the Wife still describes them as the most painful medical experience she's ever endured and, yes, she's had surgery. It sounds like there's something to be desired in the care that the techs take with their patients. However, her results were conclusively negative so we are thankful for that. It did require an ultrasound on one side to come to that conclusion. read more

I've been going to Solis mammography for 4 years (since 2016) and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Today I had 2 procedures (mammogram & bone density) and I was done in under an hour! Both Rose and Simone were amazing - kind, caring, and very professional. Plus they have a wonderful touch in the dressing room where you change in little cubicles. They had positive post-it notes everywhere on the mirror and walls! It inspired me to write a couple myself!! Thank you Solis for making self-care so easy and pleasant. read more
