First time coming to this mall and I liked it. Easy to get to, there's plenty of parking. There are quite a few stores. They have Macys and JC Penny and as the main department stores. I appreciate that they have JC Penny here as it's a good store that you don't find now in all the malls. I was very happy to find it here. Then they have lots of other stores, some you don't see at regular malls. I have to say the prices at these other stores are not too pricy. So it's reasonable for a family to come to. That I liked very much. The food court is rather small. Not much restaurants to choose from but the ones I did go to were fine for a mall food court. They do have a place for kids to have fun right in the middle of the food court. A carousel to ride on. Lots of horses, ponies to sit on for a fun ride. Aw,to be young again. I would come to this mall if you have never been. It is part of the Simon malls and they are usually good to come to. Very pleasant and clean. A must if you are visiting Marlborough. read more

why are all the escalators broken for a long period of time excuse me my best friend walks with cane and we have to walk upstairs or walk off the other side of the damn mall to get to an escalator. It's inexcusable and there's an incredibly over amount of heat in certain areas of your mouth in the summertime. What's going on I'm sorry, but it's not what's going through anymore because there's nowhere to eat and your Asian places upstairs is incredibly hot and the food is incredibly disgusting and or hard. read more

If Boscov's could open in the former Sears, it would revitalize the mall. Boscov's took over the former Sears at Sangertown Square in New Hartford, New York, and when they did, they brought new life to that mall. Absolutely no reason why they can't do the same thing here. read more

I feel that this is a mall that is definitely on the verge of closure. Half of the upper level is a ghost town and the heat is not even on through the other half of the building. The decor is outdated and they've been using the same Christmas decorations. They had since 1997. At least when they had the tilt arcade, it was definitely bringing in business and the mall was more active. But now half of the mall is just creepy. A very limited variety of stores and food court is pretty depressing. I think one of the smartest things that they did in the past few years was have Spirit Halloween come in taking over where the old arcade used to be and at least that was bringing some attention to the mall now that they did not do that last year and half of the mall is a ghost town I see no hope for this place. If you're looking for a mall with great ambience and decor, plus a variety of stores go to Natick mall don't waste your time here. It is a bit saddening because I did come here a lot for several years and it's just continuing to decline. read more

Nestled in the central suburbs of Massachusetts lies this quiet gem of small town Americana. Almost always empty, at least upon my appearances here, I am puzzled whether to appreciate the lack of hustle and bustle or to whither in dismay for the uninviting nature for those looking to people watch. Today I decide to choose the former and appreciate the desolate solitude of cover on a dreary rainy day. This mall has most of the typical commercial mall shops that you'd find all across these United States, with a few interesting attractions for children including an indoor carousel (!!) and play area. As a bonus to the barren spaces they have security that take extraordinary efforts to keep brown people like me safe. I mean after spotting me by the food court I saw the same security officer as I entered and exited every store, effing amazing. That's the kinda of service reserved for the Royal family. OK - I know malls are like a dying breed but hear me out. This is a 2-story large mall wicked close to my house so if I ever need to pay too much for a pair of jeans or feel creepy/weird just walking by myself as people oogle me thinking "why is that white guy just walking by himself!?" I go here. They have a lot of varied stores. I did actually buy a couple pairs of jeans at different places since I killed my old ones kneeling down to pet dogs so much. That's not a lame joke - that's legit, yo. There's a lot of neat stores here - during Christmas there was a decorations store, a couple neat toy stores - it had a lot of nice stuff! There's even one of those terrible arcades my nephew likes. And a half-decent food court. Nothing says "I'm lame" like eating Arby's by yourself at 2 PM on a Wednesday. It's been a really long time since I've seen a mall this active, and with this many stores. It's nice to see them still exist. The food court's good and has a variety of places to eat - but maybe too much Asian. There's an arcade downstairs which didn't have exclusively ticket machines. That was nice. I came here frequently when I lived in Marlborough as a kid, so the main reason I like this place is nostalgia. Having visited again this year after almost 10 years, I can't say much has changed. Solomon Pond feels like it's stuck in the '90s and could use some major remodeling. The food court, like the vast majority of shopping malls I've visited, has too many Asian (I use that term loosely) places. The so-called Thai place where I ordered from during my last visit was just pathetic. What kind of Thai place doesn't have staples like pad thai and Thai iced tea? This one apparently because it had neither. But what it did have was some kind of nasty orange chicken you would expect from one of the "Chinese" restaurants. The Dunkin' Donuts was one of the better ones I've been to though so that sort of made up for it. Decent mall if you need some basic clothes or other things and happen to be in the area. If you're looking to browse or spend a bunch of money, you're better off driving to another mall. read more

Solomon Pond is a nice mall on the Middlesex / Worcester county line. This mall isn't as crowded as Natick and that is why I like it. They have a good selection of stores on two levels. The Easter Bunny is here right now too. It is surprising that Solomon Pond isn't busy because it is the best mall near Worcester. read more

Even though I normally am only a fan of huge, gigantic malls, I surprisingly enjoy the Solomon Pond Mall in Marlborough. Ok. First to admit it, Natick is bigger and normally better. But when in need of less traffic and not as much walking and parking issues, as well as not as many stores, the Solomon Pond Mall will win. It isn't as big as Natick, yet includes as major stores: Sears, Macy's, and JC Penney. It has a great food court and has a good 100 other stores throughout the 2-floor mall. The Mall is incredibly clean, quaint, and friendly to all ages, and needs. Plus, traffic is not BRUTAL like Natick during Christmas and everything you need is either in the mall or in the direct area without dying on Route 9! read more

This mall is a decent shopping place. In my eyes it is much better than the overpopulated and way overpriced natick collection. At least at Solomon you can find a decent parking space. I know there are a couple other malls not too far away (Greendale and Auburn which have both gone way down hill over the past 10 years) but this one seems to be the easiest to get in and out of and also has a good selection of retailers. Some retailers include Sears, Macy's, JCP, American Eagle, Abercrombie and Abecrombie & Fitch (nice to see the children version at the same location). They also have a two nail salons, a food court, TGIFridays and Bertuccis. For me this is the perfect location - it is two minutes from my house and I can run in and out when I only need something quick including gift cards and sandals! Of course with any mall at certain times it can be filled with teenagers and mom's pushing baby carts all around - BUT isn't that what you expect to see at a mall (versus the Collection)!? read more

Despite the Yelp label this mall is definitely not closed, though there are empty storefronts in it. I found one item on my shopping list, but a lot of stores had certain items not in stock or the inventory was very picked over. There is ample parking and you do not have to wear a mask. But to me this mall is probably better suited to mall walking than mall shopping. read more

I should probably give Solomon Pond 5 stars but I'll save that for the Mall of America or a mall that has something uber unique and wonderful. If you live in Worcester County or nearby this is the best Mall you have available to you. It has the most amount of store, the best architecture and space, and is only about 30min or less from Worcester. Solomon pond has huge skylights giving you a type of outdoor and less enclosed feel as you're walking around which is a nice touch. They have every store you would hope to see in the mall as well as a full sized Movie Theater which is a great way to break up the shopping experience, kick it off, or finish it up. Solomon Pond has a great variety, good layout, and is just an overall great mall to check out if you're looking for a good mall in the area of Central Mass. read more

This is a review of security at the Mall. I was there taking pictures for Yelp of the stores. A girl at Brookstone saw me and told me taking pictures in the Mall were not allowed. I, a skeptic, found the sign next to the door with the rules, and there was nothing there, but there was a number "in case of an emergency, call security at ###" I called the number to ask the guard if it was true. He picked up and immediately hung up on me. I called back again, and got voice mail. I looked up the phone number for the mall on the web, and called that number. No answer after 3 tries. I would hate to be in the mall and need help, as all of the phone numbers seem to go to /dev/null (a black hole.) read more

I'm posting this review in hopes that no one has to endure what my parents were succumb to by the mall "security" (rent a cops) at the Solomon Pond Mall on 06/09/2018. It was shortly before closing time on a Saturday night. There are restaurants and a movie theatre at this mall and it's not uncommon for people to wander around past mall hours as they leave it open for people to leave. Yes, the doors lock at 9 but to keep people out. It's not expected to be empty by 9. I've been going here since it's inception and this rule has never changed. My parents are in their sixties and my mother is physically handicapped (she uses a walker) and moves at a very slow pace due to chronic, debilitating illness. My parents stopped at the food court after some shopping on Saturday. While they were eating, they were approached by a security (rent a cop) who told them the mall was closing and to leave. My mother said they would leave when she was finished with her food court dinner and was told that she would leave immediately and pack up her food. When my mother returned to eating the boy (rent a cop) refused to move from next to her. She began to be agitated and my father told him that they would leave shortly as they were almost done eating. Also, there were several other people in the food court that the boy did not approach likely due to their age (younger) and size (groups) and assumed my older parents were an easy target. This boy was relentless and when my mother didn't budge, he called back up. My mother got very upset and was forced to finish her dinner and leave. Both rent a cops followed my parents from the food court to the door, which brought my mother to tears as she tried as fast as she could to leave using her walker. These boys taunted her to the point that my father had to take one aside and remind him that what he was doing was discrimination and an abuse of his perceived power. He even told them that had they let them finish their food and left them alone instead of picking a fight, they would have already been gone. My mother has a hard enough time leaving the house and dealing with managing assisted mobility and the stigma and shame that our society places on the disabled and this discriminatory behavior only furthered her belief that she is not capable of living a normal life. These rent a cops were teenagers incapable of obtaining a real job or a real badge. They bullied and left a handicapped person paying customer crying at a mall I grew up in and had fond memories of. These rent a cops refused to give their names despite my parents being transparent and giving their information. What stopped this from escalating further was them threatening to call the police and my parents agreeing that they should. Once this happened, they talked in secret and left, knowing they had violated the rules of their fake police job. I wish it was captured on film so you could see how nasty these two boys were as this review can't possibly portray their level of emotional abuse. My parents tried to contact the mall but these boys didn't keep record of the incident and they would not reveal their names. I plan on filing a formal complaint with their security company and the mall. If you are at the mall near closing time and happen to be disabled, avoid the abuse you will get from Solomon Pond Mall's Security "Allied." This is what happens when you give children fake badges and false authority...abuse of perceived power. I will NEVER return to that mall unless it is in regards to this event. I am shocked and appalled that something like this would happen let alone to my own mother. Shame on you rent a cops and shame on you Solomon Pond Mall for employing young, ignorant, power tripping children. You lost my business and my entire family, and hopefully anyone reading this. read more

In the ever growing trend of malls filling up with trendy boutiques (Natick and Burlington and now Northshore), Solomon Pond Mall remains a haven of the large reasonably priced department stores I am accustomed to and can afford to shop in. I'd say the fanciest store in this place is Macy's, so if you're looking for super high end stuff, I wouldn't suggest this mall. Otherwise, it's got all the stuff you'd expect to see--Macy's, JCPenney, Sears, Gap, etc. It's lacking in an Old Navy and a Best Buy, but thankfully there are several small plazas down the street where you can find these stores. If you live in the Worcester area, this should be your mall. Auburn and Greendale malls pale in comparison to the splendor of Solomon Pond. read more

Oh, Solomon Pond Mall, you are such a gray area in my life! Growing up on the Northshore, I have become accustomed to living 15 minutes or less from Square One, Northshore, Liberty Tree, and only a bit father from Burlington Mall, as well as about 20 minutes from Newbury St and Boston Shopping. Combine that with the recent renovation of Northshore -- including the expansion of Express, addition of Nordstrom, Northface, Na Hoku, MetroPark, PINK, and other stores that push Northshore up to the level of the Natick Collection (minus the Tiffany's/Michael Kors/Neiman/etc.), and Solomon pales in comparison. However, in Solomon's defense - they do have all the basics! Macy's, Express, A&F, Loft, Sunglass Hut, Victoria's Secret, PacSun, Bath & Body Works, Aldo, Claire's, Lenscrafters, two great nail salons, an almost-decent food court, Bare Escentuals, Kay's Swarovski, and more. I enjoy not spending 20 minutes just looking for a parking spot (looking at you Natick!), being in a rush of people at every turn like a concert (Naaaatickkk), and waiting in long lines to check out (starts with an N, ends with an "atick"). In that sense, I have to give Solomon some points for being below the radar -- alas, "below the radar" malls don't get all the bells-and-whistles stores, but I'll take it for the ease and shopability. read more

I visited this mall recently and was quite impressed upon going inside.. the outside of the mall looked pretty outdated and I was a little concerned about what I was getting into, but once I went in and started to walk around I realized it was pretty nice, not as nice as Natick Mall or Providence Place, but it wasn't bad, and they had a few stores I'd never heard of (nice to not have the same old chain stores in every mall!) The mall was very clean inside, and the food court was nice as well, great variety although my friend and I just got iced coffees from Dunkin Donut's and sat down in a corner to catch up. There was also a children's play area at the other end of the mall, on the lower level, we made the mistake of getting ice cream for lunch at a stand that was directly over the play area and all I can say is if I worked there, I would have quit after an hour, because you can't pay me enough to listen to screaming kids all day! The Anchor stores were Sears and Macy's, like most malls, both stores were clean, Sears could use a little updating, but as long as the prices are right, I'll shop there! They had a cute kitchen store that looked like an independent one, small, but really cute items. I wish I could remember the name of it so I could write a review! Plenty of parking as well, and plenty of signs in the parking lot directing me back to the highway I wanted. This mall was over an hour away from me and I went here to meet up with a childhood friend, probably wouldn't go out of my way to go back since there's better malls closer, but it was a nice mall and I was glad to finally get a chance to check it out! read more

I was present at the grand opening of Solomon Pond way back in the summer of 1996. Well, not much has changed since then (although I don't wear denim skorts anymore) so you can shop whilst re-living your glory days of years gone by. Ladies, you can even get a mani-pedi at '90s Nails on the second floor! The food court has all the basics, albeit not the most imaginative selection (I mean, the Natick Mall food court has sushi. And say what you will about food court sushi but it's damn good.) The large windows offer plenty of natural lighting as well as a stunning vista with an unbeatable view of 290. Although I am in my mid-20s and don't have kids, I have made great use of the arcade they opened where Linens n' Things used to be. I must warn, though, that usually there are a few machines out of order. To my complete dismay, the steering wheels were missing from Daytona Racing on one visit. But, grab an iced tea from Teavana, bang out a few rounds of DDR, and just like that, workout done. I have no shame with respect to my DDR prowess, and I'm okay with that, because people often gather around the machines to watch, or to silently judge. There is a decent selection of stores and most often has whatever I'm looking for. I can usually make it through the first floor without getting ambushed by cart vendor people. The rooftop parking lot by Macy's is always a safe bet. Overall, Solomon Pond is a pleasant shopping experience in a nostalgic mid-'90s atmosphere. read more

So I notice some people are ripping on this mall. And you know what? It isn't the best mall I've been to lifetime. But you know what, compared to the other malls in the area (The Greendale Mall and the Auburn Mall) It is certainly the best out of the three. I'm at this mall probably once a month or so. I tend to notice alot of changes in malls and this one is literally the same every month. The have all of the mall staples, you know, Macy's, Abercrombie and Fitch, GameStop, you know, the normal. For the food court it is actually pretty good. They have Burger King, Arby's, Pizzeria Regina, Sarku Japan, Dunkin Donut's, and a few others like Bertucci's outside of the food court. If your not satisfied with the stores at the mall, a walking distance away is a Border's, DSW, Eastern Mountain Sports, and a Best Buy. So like I said out of the (Let's call it the Bermuda Triangle of malls) this one is the best out of selection and food court options. S.S.O. read more

Ahhh the Solomon Pond Mall. It was such a highlight of my highschool life to go and hang out at the Solomon Pond Mall. Then, I became a quasi-adult (read 19 year old) and started working at a retail establishment inside the mall. Lost my love for it. Then ... I grew up even more. And now, I use the mall for what God intended: spending TONS of money on things that I don't really need but that I think I HAVE to HAVE or I will die! In the past year or so, some really nice stores have moved into the Solomon Pond Mall like White House, Black Market and this other little neat boutique that has some funky little items. I'm spoiled I suppose. I come from an area where all the malls are comparable to the one in Natick. So, this one just doesn't do it for me. The food court is small with few options. Smack in the middle of it is a carousel, so every screaming child in the mall is pretty much in the food court. Not pleasant. There are enough nail salons for a whole town. What is it with Marlborough and it's endless number of nail salons? There aren't many upscale stores. I love the Macy's here. Other highlights are Talbot's and Coach. The employees at both are really fantastic and helpful. I also get my hair cut at Lord and Lady's. Newbury Comics is nice to have too. This place could do with a Sephora. This mall really needs some new life breathed into it. It seems to mostly attract teenagers that have nothing better to do. It's outdated and feels a little depressing. It has potential if Simon would drop some money into updating it, but I doubt that will happen. read more

This mall is not bad, and certainly better than the alternatives in the immediate area ( such as Whitney fields or anything in Worcester.) It's not a bad mall to spend time in, and their store selection makes the trip worthwhile. The selection of stores in this mall is pretty solid. It's a shame that banana republic left, but I am a preppy white boy, so maybe this doesn't affect too many other people. The cleanliness here is pretty good. The bathrooms are always well cleaned and maintained, and I never see trash laying around the mall or overflowing the trash bins. The parking is also more than adequate for this mall. There is always a place to park not too far from the nearest door. My biggest gripe is probably the lack of "effort" put into the interior decorations and fixtures in this mall. The ownership seems not to be too concerned with this, but it would be a nice touch. While walking the mall, it's pleasing to look at a nicely appointed interior, and maybe a few areas with comfortable leather couches, etc....it's very spartan, in some ways. Overall, not a bad mall though. It's my "go-to" mall if I need something simple and don't want to drive far or deal with traffic. 3.5/ 5 stars read more

I went into Journeys looking to buy a new pair of converse as I went in, I saw all 3 staff members on their phones and talking to each other, they didn't even ask how I was or if I needed any help! Holy moly... what is with all the vacant stores, and the ones that are occupied, I've never even heard of! And where did the Simon Guest Services Kiosk go, that was in front of Macy's? I used to work at Greendale Mall years ago, and when Simon booted the Guest Services Kiosk, that signified the end of Simon caring about the mall. This place IS Rolling Acres... and if you don't know what Rolling Acres is... YouTube it, or just wait two years, and Solomon Pond will be living it. Very interesting mall. On the smallish side, and a very interesting selection of stores. Most are what you find in every mall, there isnt anything super exciting here other than the Disney store. Which I find it very interesting that there are only two Disney stores and one is in this mall. We can walk around and do the whole mall in about an hour as they are not stores we usually frequent. Seems geared a little more to the mommies shopping for the kids. read more

Average sized mall with lots of stores to lure in teenagers and people of all ages. With hair salons and restaurants, I would rate this an average mall. I just don't care for the food court choices, the traffic of this mall, and the many little stands in the middle of the mall. The stores here are usually disorganized and hard to get around with the crowds. read more
