Checking reviews when traveling is a must for us. I hope that we were an exception to what we read. The garlic knots had such great reviews as did the pizzas. Our knots were burned black on the bottom, you had to have seen this, even with eating only the unburnt top the flavor was not great. The pizza crust was dense and chewy not what we were expecting and the topping were not distributed well. That is just lazy. To be fair, we used door dash to have it delivered to our room as we could not travel to the establishment that night. read more

The best pizza I've found in Florida so far. Consistently. That's not easy! I've had some bad pizza. The crust is such a huge part of success- this crust is chewy, crispy where needed, and has great flavor, even my kids ate their crusts which is usually a bready waste on their part. Excellent toppings. Love the Carmela Soprano- the breaded eggplant, ricotta , and garlic pack such a flavor punch. Excellent pepperoni pizza. Chicken Parmesan sub is something I can't resist. Love their wings so much pizza was good to but I'm a spicy wing person and these were the best wings I've ever had. They were super busy but not terrible it shows how many people love it. They were all friendly and nice. The place is small but enough to fit a good amount of people. The whole pizza was good (7 out of 10). I have been in 3 times, 1x to order a pizza and 2x for slices (5 out of 10). Each time for the slices the pizza had been sitting in the display too long and it was dry and burnt when taken out of the oven. The place is not very clean. The issue I have with this place and won't be back is the owner/worker (not sure who), but he had his ear pods in and talked on the phone without acknowledging me for 2-3 minutes, did not even say hi, kept his head down, kept talking on phone, etc. When it was time to pay he again did not look at me, did not say thank you and was still talking on his phone. We ordered delivery from the website. The order took a really long time. When the door dash person texted me, he said he just got to the store and the guy making the pizza told him it would be another 25 minutes (which told me they hadn't started the order). It was over an hour by the time we ordered and it got delivered (and we live on LBK). Once the order arrived it was wrong. My recommendation is to physically go there and pick it up or try another place. read more

I ate at this location with my family and also visited their other location in the same day. This company is family owned and has incredible food. It's sad that people who haven't even visited are leaving poor reviews just because they don't agree with the views of the owner. That's not how pizza works. We had a large pepperoni and an antipasto salad at the LBK location. Then on our way out of town, we stopped at Superior Ave location to grab a beer. This location is larger and has a bar. My husband couldnt resist getting another slice! The staff at both locations were so nice and helpful. The restaurants were clean and had fun NY Italian decor. We will definitely be back! read more

So this place was amazing!!! If I could give them more stars I would. My husband and I flew in to Sarasota and we were staying in Longboat Key. The travel day was really a mess because of the storms we should have gotten in at 6:00pm but was delayed until almost 9:00pm. We were starving!!! Nothing was open anywhere and we pulled into there parking lots at 10:05 cause we seen the lights on. Walked in the door and they were just closing up... I explained out situation and not only did they feed us they made us a AMAZING fresh pizza. The Salarzanos Supreme, it was sooo yummy! My husband and I eat the whole thing. Super cool place. Workmates and I get Solorzano's for our lunch frequently. I personally like a simple pie (cheese or add a couple of ingredients.). My feelings are, the more fixuns ya put on a pie, the less the basics shine through. They've got a great crust (I like mine well done), incredible sauce and excellent/fresh ingredients. We order their meatball sub frequently too. We've learned to ask for the sauce on the side for carryout orders (soggy bread sux). One of these days, I'll remember to order dinner also! Been eyeballing the meatballs with sauce for months. Their salads are wonderful -and BIG. Hard to get pictures of any of it -it's always gone too fast. read more

Service on point. Young girl who took our order on the phone was professional and knowledgeable. I think she was on her way on a delivery when we arrived. Location is a bit hidden. It's to the left of Harry's Continental Kitchens. Our vegan pizza had great flavor and the cheese was gooey (YAASS) probably because of the high temperature in the brick ovens. My family told me the pepperoni pizza ingredients tasted VERY fresh. And mom-in-law liked her antipasto. A bit pricey! They get you on the toppings. ;) Vegan cheese costs an additional $5. On August 13th, 2023, myself and friends picked up food to go from this Solorzano's location on Longboat Key. I am a Sarasota native and am familiar with their locations within Sarasota and never have had an issue with their food quality. Upon calling, I proceeded to place an order for Baked Ziti, Greek Salad, Garlic Knots, and Spaghetti and Meatballs. Upon speaking on the phone, they informed me they were outside of garlic knots, in which case, I alternatively got garlic bread. Upon asking about their vegan cheese option, as one of my group is allergic to dairy, they proceeded to also tell me they were out of that. On top of that, they also informed me that they had no feta cheese for their Greek Salad. I am an extremely easygoing individual, so I just allowed the substitutions and proceeded to pick up my order at the designated time. However, prior to picking up our order, they called and informed me they were also out of ziti noodles, and could only make it with spaghetti. Once again, I just said "ok" because sometimes restaurants have off days, and I can be empathetic about that. Upon receiving our food, honestly, the experience was extremely disappointing. The garlic bread was soggy, the Greek salad was not only extremely small, but the lettuce was obviously past its appropriate serve date- the leaves brown and soggy as well. No dressing was packed for the salad. The spaghetti and meatballs were underwhelming, under-seasoned, and the pasta was overcooked. The baked ziti, turned baked spaghetti, was overcooked and had about a quarter of a cup of sauce over three cups of pasta, and what looked like three slices of mozzarella melted on top for decoration. The meal was honestly one of the most disappointing take-out experiences I have had in years. The food quality was extremely low and I could have received a better meal from a 7-11, respectfully. $65 for two bowls of under-seasoned, underdressed, and overcooked pasta, soggy garlic bread, and a wilted, brown salad with no dressing is just unacceptable. read more

Eagle Ridge Mall, Lake Wales location...heard the pizza was good so tried it todsy...very disorganized system, order slices st the counter, go pay st the register, then go back to the counter. workers didn't keep track of offer of customers waiting, and when the guy st the register asked what I thought and I replied disorganized, he lost it..started yelling at me so I walked back to the counter to wait for my pizza..no hello or we'll be right with you, just a guy trying to figure out who was waiting for food and who still needed to order. counter guy continued to argue with my husband, wouldn't let up sniff told my husband Togo f@#$ himself then threatened to slap my husbands face.. totally unacceptable behavior..the pizza wasn't that good that anyone should put up with the rude crass behavior. there are plenty of other places with good pizza! read more

It was our first time there and will be our last. I walked in and ordered my pizza and was told it would be 30 minutes which seemed like a long wait given it wasn't busy. The decor is minimal and the lighting (daylight LEDs) does nothing to make it look better. While waiting, the person making the pizza spent a great deal of time on the phone taking an order and in that interval lost track of what was in the pizza oven. My pizza was very overcooked bordering on burnt. I chose the place because of its reviews, the history of the franchise and proximity to the place where we were staying. We stayed at Casa Del Mar and order 8 pizzas at 6pm. Pretty simple order. Called 3x and asked what's the ETA on our pizza. Still no pizza. They said 2 hours later sorry someone walked out. We'll put your pizza in the oven. Really? Kids are waiting and it's now 8:30pm? It's sad that a business is clueless on customer service. A simple we are sorry we had a breakdown this is an unfortunate situation but no, too bad and they hang up. I guess for all you reading this, think about your kids, adults can wait and drink a few more glasses of wine but kids...they need to eat. Pizza was actually good, but I must echo many other reviews about "poor business practices" and therefore I will not be returning. I called for delivery around 7pm a few nights ago. "yeah we'll deliver what do you want?" Before proceeding I ask how much do they charge to deliver. They say $10. $10!!!! I literally live on LBK, 8 minutes away (according to Google maps) - that's absurd. And no mention of this, until I asked - I imagine many have fallen prey to this "hidden upcharge". No thank you, I'll pick it up... I get there, and nobody is wearing masks. Without making this political - you're not following county policy. But let's move on. Next, I go to pay. $27 for a specialty pie. Not thrilled about that, but I knew that one going in. But when he hands me the credit card machine, the amount shown on screen doesn't match up with the price + tax they quoted me. So I ask: "Oh yeah, you gotta pay the 7% credit card surcharge". Again, no mention of this until AFTER they've swiped my card. Most CC companies charge merchants 1.5-3%... in what world is there a 7% charge? Additionally, if your fee really is that high, post a sign & tell customers about it, so they may use other payment options. My gut is - they hide/don't mention this fee because they are pocketing the difference. Overall, the pizza was actually pretty good. Can't complain there. The price point is high, but I wouldn't object if I felt the business was more transparent about the price. It could be solved with three simple changes: 1. Tell your customers there is a fee for delivery UP FRONT. If you're going to charge it, don't try to hide it! 2. Tell your customers there's a credit card fee, and what it is. Again, if you're going to charge it, don't try to hide it. If you prefer cash, it's OK to say that too. 3. Follow the law. I don't like wearing a mask either, but just do it because you have to. read more

We ordered pizza on the evening of Memorial Day. We showed up and the guy came up and took care of us. He was obviously very busy with flour on him and said they were very busy with orders. The place looked nice but no one was there on a holiday - just all phone orders. The pizza was Fantastic!!! And there was nothing left to it after we were done.
