I'm not one to give out 5 starts just for fun, but Ripfire has earned it. First, let's be clear: it's a casual eatery on an island. So the 5 stars are reflective of that. Each time we've eaten at Ripfire, we've had success. They begin by importing specific flour from Italy, and all of the ingredients are made in house. The delicious tangy sauce that's used is made daily from San Mariano tomatos- also imported from Italy. Yes, please. The crispy crust and ooey gooey cheese create the perfect combination of fresh and delicious. Our go to pizzas are usually the margherita and a pepperoni, mushroom situation. Delicious- every time. Pair a pizza with a fresh Caesar salad from there and you're hard to beat a better comfort meal. You can people watch by bellying up to the outdoor eating area that faces the street, or sit inside while still enjoying the view. Reasonable pricing, an assortment of beverages, great atmosphere and friendly service combined with consistent and flavorful food are what'll keep us going back to Ripfire. read more

While on vacation in Siesta Key with a group of friends, we decided on pizza for our first night on the island. I was skeptical that I would find something suitable to eat as a vegan, but I was surprised at the menu. I was able to build my own veggie pie and the chef did not disappoint with the mix of ingredients! I wish I had taken a photo because it was delicious. I asked for a simple mix of olives, spinach, arugula, and tomato, no sauce, and lots of dried red pepper flakes. They graciously drizzled olive oil on top so it wouldn't be dry as well. Chef's kiss! We stopped at this place after being at the beach for a few hours, it did not disappoint. Service was quick and the food was amazing. My boyfriend got the Alfredo noodles and meatballs and he liked it a lot. My boyfriend's mom got a margarita pizza (definitely think I spelled that wrong) and she loved it. I got the sweet and spicey and it was AMAZING. My boyfriend can't have ricotta because his stomach is sensitive but I scooped some of it off a few of my slices and he loved the pizza as well and helped me eat mine. I would definitely come back here if I'm in town again. It also wasn't too busy and the place was clean and nice and had easy access to get a box for leftovers which is always a plus. read more

Wanted to go to other place but sadly they closed early. We just walked by and saw this pizza place. The AC was not too strong in there probably because the windows and doors are opened. I was overheating a bit. I asked for a Caesar salad but she said they never have that salad but something else instead; but I saw it on the menu. It is kind of confusing. The pizza I got was so good! We ordered pizza from here again today. I put in an online order as we were driving, and we swung by to pick it up after a bit. I did not open the box until we got back to where we are staying, but instead of pepperoni, they gave us pineapple. Pineapple, mushrooms, & black olives make for an odd combo, so we picked off the pineapple. We do like their thin crust. I assumed maybe it was my mistake when ordering, but when I checked the email order confirmation, it did say pepperoni. So lesson learned: open the box & check it out before you leave. Ripfire Pizza & BBQ is a very cool little place in the village of Siesta Key. Walking in the first thing I noticed was how clean and organized the restaurant looked. They have a variety of pizzas or you can make your own, they have bbq that I didn't try, they have a large selection of craft beer in cans and on tap. When you walk in you order at the counter and get a number. When your order is complete the staff brings the food to the table. Speaking of the staff. They were great, friendly, and easy to get along with. The food was awesome! We split a paradise pizza and a pepperoni pizza. Disgrace! The owner is a shame to this community. My kids walked in without a shirt, we missed the sign. This was our fault. I understand we needed to be informed. However his approach and delivery is inexcusable. He approached us in an aggressive tone, loud voice, furrowed eyebrows, demanding they, the kids, leave immediately. He said it again shouting they needed to leave the restaurant because they had no shirts. My kids were terrified and distraught. He ruined our evening and is a disgrace of a human. Apparently he's tired of people coming in all the time without shirts and that excuses him to be toxic to anyone he pleases. Sort of a bummer! I was naming my toppings for the BYO pizza option and was told by the cashier with no mask, I kid you not, "if you add that many toppings your pizza is gonna taste like sh*t." Contrary to the cashier's opinion the pizza actually tasted good. I would say, however, that it definitely didn't taste $13 good! What can I say about this place? "YUM - FAST - FUN" My wife was looking for a non-gluten pizza place for my daughter and I was told that we would be going to Ripfire Pizza this afternoon. The photos on Yelp looked amazing so I did little to stop them. They have a great model going. The basic pizza is one cost with has two toppings and the next kind up is an As-Many-Toppings-You-Want pizza for the same 13 dollars and some change price. And guess which one I got. Oh Yeah... The As-Many-Toppings-You-Want Pizza. We sat down and waited about 10ish minutes for our order. The crust was thin and crispy and the mozzarella was so stringy and hot, I was almost done with half of the pizza before it stopped.
