I was in desperate need of a good, supportive bra and thought I'd give Soma a try. Upon entering the store, I was greeted by an employee who offered to check my correct size as it had been a while since I've had that done. She offered me a random bra to make sure the size was correct, which it was. She then offered me multiple styles to try throughout my time in the dressing room. Once I was happy with a style, I decided to walk around the store to check out what else they had to offer. It was hard to walk away from the jammies - they seemed like I'd never want to take them off, they looked so comfy! They were having a BOGO sale so I got two bras for a pretty decent price. I've been wearing them daily and found that I don't rush to take it off the minute I get home like I usually want to do. I suppose that's a testament to their comfort! I just bought the coziest pajamas here. I've bought of few bras and slippers in the past and was shopping at fig garden today and decided to stop by. These pajamas are so soft and not too thick. Hello , I was at this store yesterday. I was not happy how they helped me. One lady was rushing me. The other lady at the register didn't even check my size. I am bustier on top she didn't even care much. They were very snobbish. I think you should shut the store if no employees are willing to help customers. I didn't get the same experience as last year 2019. I was so mad I found a better company that has my bra. No one cares at yr store. You should make customer happy. Service here is always good. Staff takes their time with you and makes sure to answer questions, find your size, etc. when my daughter and I first came in about two years ago, we did the whole fitting thing which took some time. With your phone number, they keep track of what you've purchased in the past so now, I just pick out the style I want and they'll retrieve my size. I really like that because I dread combing through little bra racks looking for my size which might be mixed in with other styles I don't want. Four not five stars because many styles don't come in our larger sizes - these bras are clearly catered for smaller "normal" gals - which is a bummer. I can always find a good bra though so still four stars especially with the good customer service I've always received. read more

I just want to say that the service here is amazing. I walked in with my mom and sister and we were instantly greeted and helped out. I believe the woman who helped me was Christine, not too sure, but she did a great job. She made sure the bra was a perfect fit and helped me pick out the colors I wanted. I was struggling between bra sizes and I was never comfortable in them. I was between two sizes before coming to this place. I went into soma just to browse at the bras. I went in an hour before closing and I was helped by a young lady named Ashiana. She greeted me and helped me find the best bra for me. She measured me and I went on to trying so many bras until I found the one. I am so thankful for her patience. I found the one thanks to her and my boobs do not spill out anywhere. I want to give a shout out to Soma. I am 5 foot 7, extremely fluffy and I wear (without getting too personal) let's just say a triple DDD bra. It is extremely hard to find plus size bras in my size that lift these girls and is comfortable to wear all day. I have been buying Soma bras for years and compared to many, many, many different bras I've bought at other stores their's are 100% the most comfortable. The employees are super friendly, courteous, polite, professional and they never make you feel strange or out of place because you are a larger size woman. I love the fact that when I go into the store they have so many varieties of bras, undies, shirts & pajamas for all sizes. Rather you're a size 0 up to a size 20 you definitely want to visit the store. At first I did not want to go because I thought it was extremely expensive, to the contrary they're not expensive. Soma is related to Chicos, and this store in Fig Garden connects to the Chicos store. I don't shop at Chicos as most of their clothes are made for underfed waifs, however, this store has some great relax wear as well as a line of lingerie. The relax wear is in stretchy knits that fit a well fed body. I happened into the store on a good sale day so made out well with my comfy clothes. Now these aren't clothes I'll be wearing in public, but I'll look pretty good going out for the mail or picking up the newspaper. read more

Had a great experience here. Not too many stores carry larger cup sizes. I was helped by a very lovely girl. She took my measurements and brought me 4 different styles. I went in for the first time today because I heard that a portion of my purchase would be donated to the Marjaree Mason Center. I was fitted by Erin, who made me feel very comfortable. She made suggestions on which bras to get, made sure they fit right, and gave me bra care tips. They were also having a sale which was a nice surprise. Price range is similar to Victoria's Secret, which for some may be a bit pricey, but with the sale and knowing a portion of my purchase would be donated, I did not mind. They accept bra donations year round with the donations going to the Marjaree Mason Center, which is a major plus! I'm all about supporting ways to end the domestic violence cycle and most women leaving their abusers leave with just the clothes on their backs. From what I've heard, bras are the most needed but least donated article of clothing. Visit this store and bring your gently used bras! Note for petite girls like myself: the smallest band size they have is 32. read more

First time visit to Soma and optimistic about finally finding a good foundation shop here in the Fresno/Clovis as I think since Atkinson's Foundations closed in Manchester Mall several years ago, there's no specialty shop of this kind in the area (at least none that I know of). However, I was sorely disappointed at the lack of bra-fitting knowledge, help and know-how. Part of the problem may have been I was being assisted by a young lady who appeared to be college age and I'm old enough to know they just don't make sales clerks the way they use to. But, it is a sign of the times --crappy customer service everywhere. This sales "professional" knew absolutely NOTHING about bras. Actually, I could've schooled her on foundation garments. I do miss Atkinson's and the old-fashion fitting service they provided. I didn't make a purchase at Soma and won't be stepping foot back into the store anytime soon. read more

I needed to get a handle on these boobs of mine. I've been shopping at other, cheaper department stores; and bras they last eh, a few months. 6 if I'm super lucky. The underwire always snaps, or it starts poking out of the bra and gouging me. So I decided to throw caution to the wind, and go in here, and have someone dress me because apparently I can't do it myself. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a lovely person who was super nice and friendly. The receipt says her name was Sarah, and I know at some point she told me because before my fitting we exchanged names. In her words, "I thought I would get your name before I ask you to take your top off." haha She was great. I had my first ever bra fitting, and told her what I was looking for, and what problems I've had in the past. She measured me, and then brought back a couple different styles to try out. A minimizer (I'm rocking some D's here), and a balconette. I've never been one for the minimizer so I went to the balconette. It fit SO well. I'll be honest, it didn't look like much with just the bra but when I put my shirt back on, I was AMAZED at how much better I looked. They just looked... better. Shape, position, and it made my whole body just look better. I've always heard that when you find a bra that fits, it changes your life. lol I'm not sure about life changing, but it certainly changed how I look and carried myself. So I said I'll take two, and away I went. YES the bras are cray-cray expensive. But when she told me how to wash them, and said they should last a year or more? A YEAR OR MORE?! ARE YOU CRAZY, WOMAN?! We shall see... it's a bold statement. But if they do indeed last a year or more, then I will gladly lay the card out for it. read more

Soma is great because they carry odd sizes (small band, large cup) as well as larger sizes in general. The bras are a little expensive but worth it (hint: try to go when they are having a sale!). If you are having trouble finding a bra in a larger size, I'd recommend trying Soma. Also, you can order from Soma's website and return the merchandise directly to the store, which makes it even more awesome and convenient. read more

Very disappointing experience today at Soma in Fig Garden. My sister & I both were excited to be fitted & to purchase a quality product. The young lady who tried to fit us seemed to be very inexperienced and neither of our first bras fit. Hers was way too small and mine was a 3 inch minimizer that totally flattened me out - not an attractive look in a tee! The prices were good, but the women in this store did not have the experience to fit bras for our age - seniors - and size - we are both DD's. read more

I kept hearing about the great service and great products so I went in to give them a try. I will NEVER go back! Of course, due to Covid-19, the door was locked during open hours. I had called in advance to ensure they were doing fittings at this time. I stood outside in the sun for several minutes before an employee (who was folding items with her back to the door) noticed I was there. She opened the door a bit, but I had to ask to enter the store. I told her that I had heard they did excellent fittings. She looked at me up and down and said, "Looks like the bra you're wearing fits good enough." I explained that I wanted better support and coverage. She took me to a fitting room, asked what brand and size I was currently wearing, and brought me 4 bras to try on without doing any measurements. She said to let her see each on after I put it on. When I said I was ready for her to enter, there was no response. I could hear another employee giving what sounded like the superior service everyone raves about. She finally came back, I didn't like that one, so I said I'd try on another one. Again, she disappeared. I waited more than patiently, but had finally had enough. I redressed, left the bras in the dressing room, and walked out of the store. They might be great bras, but I'll never know. Not going back. read more

I paid $60.00 + for a bra that I can't wear! It is so uncomfortable. I tried it on in the store with the help of a really nice lady and we thought it would work. I told her I need something with support not push-up and comfort. After I got home and wore it for a few hours I couldn't wait get it off.
