I'm heading to a derby themed event and needed some fresh threads for the party. I've bought a few suits from Jos A Bank in the past and figured I'd try them again some "Derby" attire. Thank you to Lorrie for all of the help in finding the right jacket, bowtie, shirt, etc and making sure everything fit properly. Including sniffing out a pair if slim fit dress pants for me. This place was packed with kids getting ready for prom and Lorrie was able to help the majority of them while also checking customers out! Jos A Bank is my 'go-to' clothier for all suits and casual wear. I am very impressed with the quality of all their products. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable in all respects. Their daily pricing is competitive and a good value, particularly if you wait for one of their many sales. I'm not sure if it's coincidental timing, but their store was cluttered with cardboard boxes during my last several visits- even blocking an aisle or two. I visited looking for a suit to wear at an upcoming job interview. Although the staff was busy with several customers for my entire visit, I was always made to feel valued and attended to even though it took a couple of minutes to receive one-on-one attention. Brianna did a wonderful job making recommendations based upon (a) what I liked as a customer and (b) what looked best/appropriate on me. She was patient and friendly answering my many questions and helped me understand the next steps since we had to order both the coat and trousers that fit me best. Brianna and the entire staff was very accommodating and never made me feel rushed during the whole course of my visit. I value that as a customer. I had a very pleasant shopping experience. Amazing customer service!! Great selection and pricing! We had the most accommodating, pleasant and helpful experience picking out and rush tailoring, two complete suits and all the accessories, shoes, shirts, socks, belts, ties, with additional casual slacks and casual shirts. We felt very comfortable with the staff and all of our questions, concerns were addressed and resolved. I would describe our entire experience as that of a VIP! Walked in and was not assisted. I was there for 20 minutes and nobody asked what I needed, if I needed help, if I had any questions.... There were two employees not helping anyone that could have checked in on us. Poor service. I thought that maybe it was because I didn't have an appointment, but they couldn't know that since they never asked. I'll go to Men's Warehouse for the custom suits I want to buy. I know exactly what I want, materials, lining, style, everything. I refuse to spend money at an establishment with such poor business practices. Edit: Mens warehouse did not have the fabric I wanted, but they offered assistance immediately and shared knowledge without hesitation. They helped with measurements and made suggestions on specifics that I would have never known to ask. They directed me to where I needed to go for the type specific fabric that I wanted. I will go back for shirts, ties, shoes, etc. because they know how to treat customers. GO TO MENS WAREHOUSE!!! read more

The staff here is great, despite not having my size available, in the suit I wanted (I'm 6'4" 285), they did everything they could try & find one at another location, or even possible expediting an order from the manufacturer. What a shame, this place used to be the best place for suits and service. I used to walk in and tell the employees what I needed and they would gladly assist me. The other day however was much different. Upon walking in an employee who looked more than bored, begrudgingly greeted me. When I told him what I needed he acted very annoyed and bothered and walked towards the wall of shirts without saying anything. Needless to say, his lack of motivation showed with the choice of shirt he picked out. Yikes, I would avoid this place. I still need a shirt and shoes and will be looking elsewhere. read more

I'm the kind of man who walks in knowing what I'm looking for. Everything in the shop is laid out for me to find and if I have a question I've never had a problem getting it answered. The quality has always been great, tailoring is excellent and the service wonderful especially if Melissa is helping me. If a staff person is busy, I interject my need and if they forget I interrupt and remind them. I have no problem being assertive and asking for my needs to be met. I've never had an issue. Came in today to get my fiancé fitted for a suit for our wedding. The older man that helped us didn't bother actually sizing my fiancé. He just looked at him and told him that they do not carry his size and try dxl down the street. The man let us know they only carry up to a 54 suit top and that wouldn't fit him. Wouldn't even let him try it. We went to dxl and they sized him and ended up being way smaller than a 54. Would NOT recommend this place. Really disheartening to see the way they talked to my fiancé. read more

This store tries to be the alternative to Brooks Brothers - conservative, even staid business clothes. The draw here is their corporate clothing program, where you get a discount card and invitations to special sales. Not sure what businesses qualify for the card, but I wouldn't be surprised if they gave one to anyone who filled out the form. Another bonus is that you can get Johnston & Murphy shoes at a 20% discount when you order them here. There isn't a nearby store, so if you know your size, that's a great deal. read more

I needed a new sportscoat for an upcoming business meeting and I paid a visit to Jos A Bank to see what they had in their store. I have been a Jos A Bank customer since they came to town and almost every shirt in my closet is from their store. I don't need a coat and tie very often so when I pulled my suit out of the closet I realized that although I hadn't worn it much it looked terribly outdated and didn't fit as well as it used to. Tim Reisig came to my rescue by helping me find the perfect coat, pants, and tie. Tim has helped me previously with shirts, jackets and shoes and is always most helpful. Never pushy, he shows his long experience in a calm and patient way, always listening to the customer and not pushing his likes. He knows how to make good suggestions and has a good eye for taste and a classic look. When I got home tonight I realized that the shirt that I thought would be a good match to the coat and tie wasnt quite right. I called Tim and he found the shirt we were looking at and set it aside for me to pick up tomorrow. One reason I shop at this store is the quality is very good, considering the price point. I'm sure that you can find better clothing but maybe not at the prices they offer them at. This goes double because they have lots of sales and are really very well priced when the sales are going on. I highly recommend Tim and the other folks at this location. Showed up for a dress shirt and tie for a wedding. Came in at the same time as a couple of guys who were dressed for golf. I was ignored completely by both associates until the golfers left but I kept my cool. Finally I received assistance but in the middle of picking out a tie to match a shirt with the sales person a couple walked in and my sales associate said "I'll let you browse the ties" and before I could respond he abandoned me to go help the couple who had just walked in, while the other associate never left her spot of leaning on a counter looking bored. Yea so I'm wearing shorts, tennis shoes and a tee-shirt but does that mean I'm bottom of the barrel to receive good customer service??? I didn't say anything and just left.....thanks for nothing and don't worry about me ever darkening your doorstep again. read more

What they did right: Greeted me and assigned me to a new trainee. The trainee was wonderful but it quickly became clear I needed someone with more experience (no fault of the trainee) I asked a more seasoned employee, Bob, to help me when he was done with his client. Bob agreed and I waited patiently for my turn. What they did WRONG: When Bob was done with his customer, he walked right past me and took a different customer (I won't go into race or gender difference but I felt this was an obvious snub) I walked out with my jaw dropping. I couldn't believe this behavior. I immediately called Lori, the store manager. I wanted her to know her staff needs additional customer service training. read more

If your going to buy a suit go big or stay home, also don't waste your time going any where else in Fresno but here. Ask for Assistant Manager Tim Reisig. His knowledge and expertise is top notch. He will match your needs with the perfect suite. Beware of the shoes, you will want to buy several pairs...lol. Please explain why my fiance' and two of his groomsmen drove a hour to Fresno to get measured, got there at 7pm there were three people working and not one of them know's how to measure someone? The 3 of them are in the Navy work until 5 or later everyday! Then they drive a hour and no help at all. WOW!!!! Went in with my dad who looked the part of a business man, and he was quickly helped. After getting his pants selected the salesman went to help other people which I thought to be fine, but once my dad came out of the fitting room, the salesperson didn't even bother to look at my dad. We walked around the store for 10-15 minutes waiting for that associate to help us and he never did. So we decided to take our business elsewhere, never had this problem at Men's Warehouse, or even Macy's for that matter. Will think twice before coming here again. read more

An amazing act of customer service just took place, due to the efforts of an employeed named Rihanna (hopefully that is spelled correctly) at the Fresno store. While cleaning out the apartment of our deceased uncle, who died earlier this year (not COVID-related), we found 5 brand new polo shirts that he had purchased in May of 2019. He had bought 6 and worn one. Tags were still on, and we also found the receipt. They were a size large. My husband is a medium. He called the Fresno store (there is no longer a local Jos. A. Bank in the L.A. area where they were originally purchased) and asked if it would be possible to exchange the shirts for a medium. Rihanna said she would send a label and bag to return the shirts to exchange. Both showed up within 10 days. We packed up the shirts, requested mediums and even asked that the solid colors be exchanged for stripes or patterns if possible. Much to our delight, we just received 5 brand new, size medium shirts with stripes and checks. The shirts had actually gone up in price, but they were still replaced one for one. We are stunned that Jos. A . Bank was willing to do this. We will certainly recommend their clothing and their company to all our friends. And my husband will wear his new shirts with pride. We really appreciate the effort in these difficult times for retailers everywhere. Thank you so much. read more
