I'm just going to say it: I am a busty gal. I'm a 42D. So, it's not always easy to find pretty and flattering bras in my size. I had a $25 off coupon for Soma, so I decided to come over and shop in hopes of finding a good front-hook bra. I was helped by a really terrific gal named Lorena. Wouldn't you know it, Lorena looked, and indeed, they had terrific front closure bras in my size! Pretty, smoothing, comfortable, and flattering. I wound up getting one in black and one in dusty pink. There was also a terrific underwear sale: buy 3 get 2 free. Lorena helped me pick out some really adorable panties that match the bras, in different styles: tummy control, no tummy control, high leg, and modern brief. I wound up getting $50 off because a second coupon was applied. I spent $159 on two high-quality bras and five pairs of high-quality underwear. In my opinion, that's a great deal for high-quality and beautiful undergarments. When we walked inside, an older lady greeted us and asked if we needed any help. She was able to verify the deals on the things my wife was interested in purchasing and help her through the whole experience. I asked them to order me a bra they did not have in stock, to come to my house. They got all of my information and email address.. and promised me they would opt me out so I did not receive any marketing emails. After getting all of my information I was told they did not have that bra in stock online. Then why make me give them all that information? But then I started getting the marketing emails... even though I was told I would not. I kept unsubscribing but kept getting emails anyway. I emailed customer service and was told I would stop getting them "within 6 to 8 weeks". Bad customer service... Opting out is a lie... Unsubscribing is a lie... And emailing them will take months . When purchasing an item, one of the lady's at the front desk was nice and answered my questions even if it wasn't all the way true. I purchased boob tape from them and it was 22 dollars. At first I was skeptical because it wasn't my skin color and also i have bigger boobs but they assured me that the quality was good and it would work. I tried it on when I got home and the item was not sticky at all (all instructions were completely followed), very hard to use on your breast, would clump together despite all efforts of preventing that, and was really thin. It was to be used for an event but because the item didn't work, i had to amend everything. Since I'd looked on the store, online, as well as on the receipt and saw that one could return all items from the store I decided to bring it back for a refund because it was utterly useless. When I brought it back employee claimed that you can't return the item even though there was no exception listed anywhere. Very interesting indeed! I just decided to take that L and threw it away in the garbage can. Do not buy boob tape from this store irrespective of whatever garbage they tell you. I've personally tried a boob tape from fashion nova and can say that one is at least more durable, has different color ranges, and also can at least fucking stick. It is about 10 dollars if I remember correctly. THIS IS IF YOU'RE IN QUICK NEED! If you can wait and want something even better I would recommend nood but it is a bit on the higher side (50$). I ran out and couldn't get more in time. Especially since I don't use boob tape too often. read more

The people who work there were so rude and disrespectful .. I've never been treated like that my whole life i went there to get a bra and I wasn't happy with the lady who was helping me because she was assuming that I was taking bras and not paying for them so I went to the cashier to pay I just brought it to her and told her that I have never been happy with your associates here they are treating me so rude and mean..she was telling me no we treat everyone the same and she told me that she's Jewish and the other girl said that she's Mexican so they said we treating everyone equally but I told them I didn't get that feeling sorry you are giving me a racist feeling and she told me leave my store. First off let me say I am very happy with the quality of the clothing, I have been looking to change the brand of bra I use for a while and I've been doing my research. But the sales person who greeted me told me that I don't know my own size. I am 45 years old and have worn the same size for 28 years. She insisted that the "expert" measure me and she was 'shocked' that I was the size I told the first woman. They wasted my time instead of letting me pick out my own bras, telling me to wait in the dressing room. The two older women were going back and forth assisting other customers. I had to wait extra long and they were picking colors for me instead of asking what I want. When I finally came out of the dressing room I still had to pick my bras. They kept telling me, "Come here", "No, come here!". When I would approach them they would leave me standing alone and confused. (Poor communication between the associates) I finally asked one of the younger associates who was just arranging bras if she could actually help me. The one who fitted me tried to pull me away, I finally got angry and said, " Stop, she's helping me find this in my size and in black, since I don't like the pink!" The "expert" rang me up, she started to give me a lecture on how to care for my bras and the return window. She even made a snide remark about the price and said, "Don't worry we have a sale today." I repeat, I really liked the bras and was wanting to buy more. But the way I was treated was very rude and condescending. I don't know if it's because I am a woman of color who looks very young for my age. The associates should learn a little tact, I didn't appreciate the, "Mommy knows best" attitude from the two older ladies. Towards the end I did tell them that I'm older than I seem and have common sense, so they can stop with the lecture. But that did no good, they were determined to talk down to me till the end. I ran out of there with my friend. I will buy anything I need online. I will never go back to the store, it was a disappointing first impression. read more

When I saw Soma's flier for their bra donation August 7th-September 10th at another retail store in the mall, I was very interested in helping. "Bras are the most needed, yet least donated item of clothing for women. Please help Soma and the National Network to End Domestic Violence support women in need. Simply bring new or gently worn bras to any Soma boutique across the country to benefit domestic violence shelters in your community." Although I didn't have much time to collect, the ladies at my office really came through and my bra drive collected 47 bras toward helping Soma reach their goal of #OneMillionBras When my boyfriend and I went to deliver these to our local boutique store it was my first time here. I was quite surprised at just how gorgeous the store was. I've never personally shopped here only passed by and I thought it was a store for plus size women. I'm not sure what about their marketing made me think that, perhaps the sizes advertised. I guess the large size is what caught my eye. Bottom line, this store has sizes 32A-44G and I'll proudly support any business that strives to do amazing things for women in our community. Although, it was late and they were closing soon I didn't stay to browse or make a purchase but I will surely return to do so in the future. Everything appeared to be of high quality and the sales associates were friendly and welcoming. If it's wasn't for my grandma and mom liking this store i wouldn't bother... or if they offered free shipping. I placed an online order for pick up and I'm not even sure they knew they had an order for pick up if I didn't call. I called to ask how long it normally takes to fulfill and she said 4-7 days and tried to hang up on me. Tanya (manager) is great! I purchased a few bras two weeks ago and they are now on sale, I brought them and they exchanged for the new price with no problem. I explained to her that the bra I was wearing that I also purchased two weeks ago is the most uncomfortable I've ever worn. I asked her to check the fitting. It fit properly but was not made for my shape. She allowed me to leave the bra I was wearing and to purchase another one (at the sale price) regardless of the fact that I was wearing it and didn't have the tags. Really awful costumer service in this store for the 3rd time. I'm done. This time I walked in, clerk was talking to someone then i assumed she was finished and asked me what I was looking for. Then when I explained I had an issue with fit of a prior purchase and was looking for something similar without the fit issue of the prior bra, she showed me one thing that didn't meet my requirements, then basically dismissed me and said she was already helping someone else. That's when I realized she had abandoned the first woman who was now standing behind me waiting for her to finish with me. I would have waited if she alerted me she was with another customer, I had been happy to browse myself. She approached me, not the other way around. I adore these soft and comfortable bras! The staff is always super helpful and will do what it takes to get the fit just right. The nightshirts are also super soft and I've even worn their loungewear out to dinner. If you join their frequent buyer club, you'll get great deals. After the Glendale store closed, I was distraught and having to only but these mail order- but now this one is here and I'm a fan! I really like this store! For people who are over the long lines, and annoying customer service at other bra shops... Soma has only a few different styles and a ton of color options, the specialists there are awesomely helpful, nice and they are always checkin up on you (in a non-annoying way). I was really satisfied with the customer service at this store, the soma lady was very personable, listened to my needs, and went above and beyond to get me what I asked for. I ran in to get a strapless bra in a 32d- not a size they usually stock in strapless and she was able to pull out multiple options for me. Soma bras are a bit pricey but they fit well and last well. Although probably not the store's issue, I'm writing to complain about the product. I used to love coming to buy my bras at Soma. However they close the one in Glendale so I had to go to the Sherman Oaks Galleria which is extremely out of my way. Finally, after putting it in my schedule I went and purchased a bra. I wasn't impressed with the choices or sizes. Granted I know women who are larger in size have to choose comfort for beauty at times with their bras, so are I accept that fact. But after I came home, try on my bra again. I noticed the third clasp was broken. Now anybody who has gone to Soma knows that their bras aren't cheap, and I'm pretty upset because going back to the Sherman Oaks store is very inconvenient for me. If I could mail it and just get a refund I think I would. The reason I gave two stars is because I find their bras very comfortable, but it looks like I have to really scrutinize their quality before walking out of the store. read more
