I would not recommend this doctors office. They dont return calls. Misdiagnosed. Horrible experience.

A true rip off and inconvenience. This place constantly overcharges and holds your account hostage after every appointment. So far everywhere else I have gone has only ever charged less than 15% of what this office charges for the same exact services. The doctors are always rushing and barely paying attention and I NEVER get the follow up paperwork or referrals I have asked for. I'm done with this place, it's been three years I've tried my best. I do not recommend for many reasons. I had 5 kids in the practice. For the first two, the experience was fine. My third child was given a vaccine and was turned into a zombie that could not make eye contact or even know I am there afterwards. The doctors said that it was not possible. Later, I found out that the vaccine company has a settlement division for those with vaccine injuries. After this, my wife and I decided that we would only do the legally required vaccines and no others. We also wanted to do so on the schedule that the doctors we know of personally that they use for their own children. They kept pushing like timeshare salespeople. One nurse came in with an optional vaccine that the previous doctor and hematologist said that he should not take due to a medical condition that he was born with. She tried to talk to us into it. Then, the doctor came and tried to argue. She left huffing and puffing. We had to resist multiple vaccine pushers. I wrote a letter to the practice. The Chief Administrator called us and stated that it is their policy to offer vaccines on every visit, so they cannot honor my wishes and they require all of their patients to have all vaccines regardless of whether the state of New Jersey legally requires them. She went on to explain how we have a right to leave if we do not want to comply with their demands and the form is on the website that we should complete, submit it, and they will send our records to whatever new practice we choose to go to. Normally, I can respect people sticking to their policy. However, this policy does not supersede state law. When my spouse went to pick up his records for preschool registration. At first, the receptionist said no we cannot give it out and asked my wife if she understands what she is saying. (My spouse has an accent.) My spouse stated, "I understand you perfectly fine. Why can I not have my son's records." The receptionist sounded surprised and said "Oh!" She asked my spouse to take a seat while she finds out if she's allowed to. My spouse specifically said she wanted the records from Dr. Abraham and they tried to force the records from the problematic doctor on her. Finally they complied and gave it to her. There are certain vaccines, which two, the Senior doctor at the practice (Dr. Abraham - recently retired) and his hematologist said he cannot or should not take due to low neutrophil counts as they could potentially be fatal. The practice has a record of all that and still tried to force it on him. That office called the hematologist to ask whether they could administer without asking our permission or recommendation. The hematologist said, "no, not without his office blood testing and determining if it was safe." My spouse was there because he needed a referral to a neurologist even though our insurance doesn't require it. He needed to see the neurologist as a follow up because he was in the hospital a month earlier after a car accident. He had bruising on front and back of head. The doctor did not seem to care at all about that. She kept saying how getting the vaccines are more important for him than the neurologist. The doctor also said how we did not give him one of the optional vaccines because we said no (which at the time was not true). My spouse stated no, Dr. Abraham and the hematologist said not to administer it. The doctor said to take him to the cancer center every week to get him blood tested, and the week that his neutrophil counts are high immediately bring him there for the vaccines while Dr. Abraham said the neutrophils go up and down and if the condition does not get better, he should not take these vaccines As far as my third child, she was on the verge of being diagnosed as nonverbal autism due to her inability to make eye contact and having no language (not from this practice). My spouse took her to school in a nonwestern foreign country where she went to school for 8 months. She came back making eye contact, able to read and write in 2 languages and doing math 3 years above her age level. The school said that she is the fastest learner in the school and if she came in with any language, she would been the highest achieving student in the school by far. It is not just that they offer it on every visit. They do not accept no for an answer on one try. Multiple people come in and try to persuade you. The only experience that I can relate to feeling the same way was when I went to a timeshare dinner and we had to enter multiple rooms before we could leave. If it were a simple offer and we say no, I would not be writing this. read more

Would not recommend this pediatric group (Hillsborough location - Dr. Scarfone). They dont actually care about their patients and rush through things, we asked about Jaundice with my asian baby and was given attitude and told "it's just his skintone" and completely dismissed by the doctor. Their PA called and told us our son potentially had a genetic issue based off a newborn screening, didn't reassure us this was common, and needed to schedule with a hospital ASAP for same day appt. The doctor was unaware of our sons screening at the followup appt 3 days later, and didn't send in required referral paperwork to the hospital to help speed things up. I had to call several times to be sure they could help expedite an appt with a genetic specialist. Sent us in complete panic without explaining anything, come to find out nothing was wrong. read more

Disgusting attitude of Drs Parul Patel and Concepcion Met them last week on Thursday and Saturday respectively They were not patient enough to listen to issues that my granddaughter had ( She is just 8 days old ) Granted that the baby's parents are first time parents and anxious But you have a set of doctors who are blasé, uncaring and in fact unwilling to listen to the issues that the baby was suffering from Dr Concepcion walked out in the middle of consultation slamming the door without explanation and did not return for more than 15 minutes at which time the parents of the new born decided to leave the offices Nobody stopped or apologized or offer any explanation read more

Been going here since I was a kid and my kids go here. Not sire if they are the best but most popular in the area that I know of. Receptionist are kinda loud and not much privacy at the from desk. Other then that, they get the job done! read more

So aggravated right now. This is the second time I've taken one of my kids and learned *during* the appointment that they did not have his immunization records. Yesterday, I asked the front desk to verify they had his records and was told, yup, everything is here, all good. Do you know how stressful it is to have to wait 30 extra minutes with a 4 year old in the exam room so that someone can call our former pediatric office in another state and request records?? We're already so stressed because our son has a lump under his throat. Then a nurse makes an ENT appointment for him and tells me the appointment is across the street. Get home and realize nope, she made the appointment in SOMERSET. And I can't change it, only Somerset Peds can change it. So I have to call them back again. Oh and they said he'd have his ultrasound at the ENT. ENT office says no, they don't do that. I will NEVER go back to this office. I'm on phone call 7 and I've cried out of frustration because no one can seem to just get it together and do things the right way. I called yesterday to avoid this very scenario and was assured they had everything. This is not fair to do to worried parents who just want the right thing for their child. Never again. read more

I was able to book a last minute appointment for my son as a first time patient at the Somerset location. The front desk team are lovely and Dr. Patel was ABSOLUTELY amazing! She took her time to speak to my son, she was kind, knowledgeable and incredibly professional. I am thrilled to have found a doctor for my boys! read more

I went to the Lebanon location with my newborn the day after we got out of the hospital. The first doctor I saw (female don't remember her name) was extremely unfriendly and rushed through the appt. She also told me that my baby had jaundice and we had to go right to the hospital from their office to get blood work for a billyrubin test. She didn't say whether this was common and did nothing to reassure me she would be ok. As a first time mom I was panicked and cried the entire day. All other following appts. we saw doctor York who was much nicer and more friendly. However, after 3 appts. I will never use this practice again. The woman behind the reception desk is beyond rude. She usually takes several minutes to acknowledge you even standing there and is just very unfriendly and has a bad attitude. Even when you enter the building there's no "hello, how are you?" It's just cold and "whose this?". Also each time I went I made sure to ask before leaving if I owed a copay or anything for the visit and I was told "No, looks like your all good". I know with my own insurance and doctor visits that they always know your copay while your there and always make you pay before you leave the building. After being told each time I didn't owe anything I just got a bill about 2 months ago for $40 (coincidentally after they knew I wasn't coming back to the practice), I know it's not much, but it's the point that I was told I didn't owe anything and now I do. Not saying everyone will have the same experience and again this was just the Lebanon location, but it was enough to make me never want to go back. read more

The old woman working as a receptionist in the Somerset location is very rude. When I was checking out I was waiting as she didn't even acknowledge me standing there then after a few minutes said in a rude tone "what do you need". My baby was born as a premiee. Since the Somerset location was close to were I live, I selected this office despite the poor reviews hoping I had a better experience. Unfortunately the lack of poor customer service from the front desk, the doctors rushing the visit with my son without throughly checking him, made me question if I would continue to make this office the place of care for my son. Today I had a monthly doctor's visit for my sons check up and to get his 2 month hep shot. As a result of my need to pull over in route to change his diaper and quickly feed him, so he is ready for the visit, I was 18 mins late. The front desk checked with the doctor and they decided, they did not want to see him for the visit because of their subjective "15 minute policy". I was the ONLY person in the waiting room to be seen at that time, and they cared less about my son's health, and more about a policy, that I was 3 minutes over!!!! This is the last poor experience I will subject my Son to with the Somerset location office!! Please believe the poor reviews for the Somerset location, and try your luck at another office. A pediatrician should care more about the children's health then a late policy for a reasonable cause! read more

I've taken my daughter since her 2 days old appt to Somerset pediatrics. We liked them for the cleanliness, nice staff, proximity to home and the flexible times they are open. I was told to see a couple of doctors at first and then stick with one. My husband and I have not been impressed with any of the doctors or nurses. The one we liked - Dr. Sinclair left the practice before the next wellness visit (wonder why the good ones leave? They know this place is an insensitive money hungry practice). The nurses do not say hello or greet my daughter. Not a single person has treated her like a human being. They arE always rushed and be careful to question any vaccine.. you'll be given dirty looks and judged I immediately. Not once did I deny a vaccine but rather question why an infant so small needs certain ones, because tbh at times it's excessive!!! Shame on you for treating patients and parents as just a number. My daughter is terribly scared of doctors and hates even when they check her eYes and ears because they always rush her, are harsh, ignore her cries, and never acknowledge her feelings or speak to her calmly. You're a pediatrician - learn to talk to babies and have bedside manner!!! Get a staff that actually cares and wants to be there. Stay far away from this practice. They are not friendly and each visit will leave you more disappointed than the last. The in house blood work is also a nightmare. My baby sat in my lap and I asked for him to check her vein so she's not poked unnecessarily. They had me hold her down and still poked her multiple times and barely comforted or talked to her! I have met pleasant doctors with a pleasant staff who actually cares about the children - this place isn't it!!! The front desk and nurses at the raritan office also need an attitude adjustment. They're always rude, rolling their eyes, can't be bothered with questions and are just plain unhelpful and unfriendly. What is wrong with you people? If you hate your job then don't work at a pediatric office - same goes for the "doctors" there. So disgusting to see how they treated us - no wonder doctors get no respect these days. Front desk staff rude and Dr. Robyn Ferrante was even worse. She walked into the room did not even say hello. Asked questions about my son's overall health, rolled her eyes. (I didn't know doing your job was to much work) I asked for her opinion on certain health concerns and didn't even look at my son. Rushed us out of the room. The only good thing I could say is that the wait was not long, but if the "doctors" look at children the way this doctor did no wonder there was no wait. NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN!!! read more

We've been taking our son who will be three in less than a week to Somerset Pediatrics since he was born. It is a fairly large practice and I think we've seen almost every doctor from the well-visit check ups and have never been disappointed. You don't feel rushed, they explain the purpose of each visit, and the place is clean. The staff has always been so nice, patient, and I cannot rave about the customer service enough. We've been fortunate where we hadn't needed a doctor appointment other than for his check-ups until today. I called first thing and asked to get an appt. for our sick little guy and they said I could just walk in or had 2 appts I could schedule within the hour (I scheduled one just to be sure:). The new location in Raritan was easy to find thanks to the awesome signs they put up and it was nice to see the same friendly faces at the desk as I hadn't been there since his 2.5 year check up. I didn't have to wait and the doctor was so sweet, helpful, and put me at ease. I even received a follow-up call just to check in to see how he was doing. I would recommend this practice to anyone. read more

The only advantage with this practice are the hours. When I had my first child I wanted this convenience because I was nervous and felt I needed to see someone right away if I had a scare with my child. After having my third, I can honestly say I am glad we changed to a different practice. Most of the doctors you see at Somerset Peds are in a horrible rush to see the next person. Even if you see the same one or two doctors every time, they don't remember your child or their specific needs, how could they -it's so full! The waiting to be seen is no surprise, but the lack of personal touch is what bothered me the most. To top it all off, one of their most trusted Dr.s overlooked (or lost) my baby's test results, which we found out needed immediate attention - six months later!!! I was horrified, stricken with disbelief and afraid for my child's well being. Yes, he called and apologized (and after some care my child is now perfectly healthy), but THAT is a mistake I cannot overlook and have been at a new Pediatrician ever since. If the office is close to you, and you definitely NEED to see someone at any sneeze your baby has than go with them b/c at least you know they're will be someone there. But if you need something more personal, reliable, and trustworthy go somewhere else. read more

We used this pediatric office for 10 years in the Warren/Bridgewater area for routine well care and shots. Healthy kids and when needed allergy referrals, etc straight forward. One tale of caution here- they pushed Guardisil vaccines on all 3 daughters but we pushed back and refused, thankfully. (Our youngest was 10 at the time!) EVERY visit the girls were questioned about why we chose NOT to use this vaccine. Parents, stand your ground. Do your own research. This vaccine now has the scientists who got the drug approved admitting that it is/was a scam. The risk outweighs the benefit. 44 girls have died and 7% of vaccine users have had serious side effects. Merck had a huge cash cow with this drug and you have to que$tion why the Drs have been pushing it for years. Protect your daughters! read more

The staff is horrible and if you try and leave they hold your records, only way to get them is to pay a ridiculous over priced fee! Somerset pediatrics has taken a lot of the stress away that comes from being a new mother. The receptionist and nurses were so warm and welcoming and the doctors really took their time to describe everything in detail. I didn't feel rushed like I have at other doctors. This is a horrible money munching group of doctors. I take my kids at Somerset office . My son had seasonal allergies in a month of February as a parent I took him to a doctor but they didn't give proper medicine to him. He had severe chest congestion but they keep saying its ok , its normal for 3 months , DR.Tripati Patel was the one who is checking on him . Later we have to go the hospital.
