I took my son to Kinder Pediatric Urgent Care on Monday for a sore throat. He was given steroids and cleared to return to school. On Tuesday, they called to say he actually tested positive for strep and needed to stay home Wednesday. By Thursday, he was still feverish and coughing, so I called to request a school excuse note. The receptionist refused, saying he was only eligible for one day. When I asked to speak with Dr. Ruby, I was told she wasn't there and they "couldn't tell me" when she would be available. I was placed on hold and had to repeat the entire story to another staff member, only to feel questioned over a simple school note request. It took 15 minutes for something that should have been a quick phone call. As someone who works in a medical office, I cannot imagine treating patients this way. If you want to avoid unnecessary aggravation, I would reconsider going here. read more

The most inconsiderate urgent care. They should show compassion to patients who need urgent attention, but instead, the staff didn't bother to help us see our baby or find a way for us to do so. Not happy we went on Tuesday evening at 5pm the guy who was at front desk he didn't gave sticker to my child n he gives sticker to another child.! Even he gave to another child n he saw I had a child with me but he didn't bother to give my little one. This is kind of racism. Bcoz the parent was from their people country. It's not fair. Hear me out, I got something to say... my daughter got pink eye (theee worst) and I recalled this place I found in passing. I showed up when they opened at noon and there was a few people already there. They were still efficient, responsive and sensitive to our needs. The doctors bed side manners were A1 and the professional staff was overall very helpful. They even called me a few days later to do a check in and inquire if I had any follow up questions! read more

A very good experience with our 5 year old who had a cough and fever. She was assessed, diagnosed and prescribed medication to treat her symptoms. Dr. Mikhail and the staff were prompt, courteous and thorough. Follow up results for PcR test received within 48 hours. She is almost 100% after a week. Worst experience ever. Waited outside for 30 minutes just to get inside to register and see a regular doctor and not get a Covid test. Sat in waiting room for another hour before getting to patient room. I was told 5 patients in front of my children and took an hour to get to patient room. What a joke. We went to this office on a Saturday afternoon and it was not that busy. Typical 2-3 patients in the waiting area and the doctor saw our daughter in 20 minutes after the paperwork was done. The office staff and doctor was nice at the time we went. For an urgent care place, I'm sure the doctors rotate so you won't being seeing the same doctor every time. After she saw our daughter, some meds was prescribed electronically and went to pick up. Its a decent place to take kids if your primary doctor is not available. On December 22nd 2018 me and my wife walked into this urgent care 10:20pm. The urgent care closes 12 midnight. Our 1 year old daughter was sick. They told us they couldn't see us as their office was at max capacity. My wife said what do you mean you're at your max capacity this is a urgent care our daughter is sick. How can you refuse a patient? Mind you there were only 5 patients in the office. Office manager said the doctor came in early and he wants to go home early. My wife begged them to please see our daughter don't do this right before Christmas. Office manager said there was nothing they can do for us and to take our daughter to the hospital. I don't know how people can do this to children. Especially right before a holiday. We came in 1 hour and 40 min before office closes. read more

The worst experience ever at any Doctors office. STAY AWAY bring your kid to a real Doctors office. This place wants your money but doesn't provide any service to help your kid. I called into the office about results they never called me about or emailed and kid has a very high fever and the person on the phone wouldn't even provide there name. How is that a customer service representative and they wouldn't provide me their name. They read off a script that you can come back in, but I brought her there for the testing to see the doctor and if you can't do your job right the first time why would anyone go back to your establishment. My kid is suffering because this office's incompetence. Now I have to take her to a real doctor's office. DO NOT GO HERE EVER IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR KID. read more

Taking into COVID into consideration, so consider this a 2-star, maybe 1-star rating, if we weren't in the pandemic. Relatively fast service, but office staff lacks communication skills (no empathy). They made a mistake and sent me home, without having signed the necessary paperwork. Forced to return, and no apology on their side. Again, will excuse due to COVID, but not pleasant. read more

I took my daughter here this evening after she complained of having an earache. Since it was a Sunday afternoon I anticipated a long wait but we actually waited abt 15 min to be seen after completing the new patient registration forms. The staff was polite , the doctor was very professional and had a kid friendly demeanor. The office was clean and welcoming. I would definitely take my child here again. read more

My baby was seen by Dr. Turner. She was super sweet and got my little one to smile which he hadn't done all day. We were in and out within an hour and a half max. If I could give this place no stars I would! I took my son there this evening and was given medical advice by the RECEPTIONIST! I brought him there as a safer option than the ER because I knew it was not a life or death situation. All I wanted was for my son to see a physician and possibly get an X-ray, which they advertise as part of their services. The know-it-all RECEPTIONIST suggested we go to the ER because SHE felt he MAY need an MRI. Ok, shouldn't the DOCTOR be the one to order an MRI or make that determination? I was a medical secretary for 22 years and never offered my medical opinion to a patient. I asked again if we could see a doctor and again she gave her ridiculous opinion that we go somewhere else. My son got so upset and discouraged that he begged me to leave. All we wanted was to see a physician and possibly get an X-ray. The physician could have ordered an MRI if they thought it was necessary. This was clearly a LAZY person that didn't want to do her job. The physicians should be made aware that the front desk staff are giving medical advice. Unprofessional and unacceptable. Avoid this place at all costs! Horrible. read more

By far the most inefficient covid testing I've experienced. We were told there were 4 people in front of us and it took over an hour to finally get tested. I know it's busy but you've got to revamp procedures to get people through more efficiently. If you need covid testing, go to a pharmacy instead!! read more

I'd give them no stars if I could. We're at the height of flu season so I knew I'd have to wait, not an issue. I waited an hour, saw a nurse for 2 minutes who automatically decided that my child should be tested for the flu and strep even though he didn't present symptoms of either. Then a doctor comes in, Amy John to mention names. She checked his ears and throat and didn't ask any questions. Hello! Ask him what's wrong. No, she assumed that what the nurse did was it. I had to get firm and somewhat rude to get her to engage in the reason I brought him there. She was clearly in a hurry, visibly short and agitated. She didn't even make mention of my son's blood pressure being 156 over 90. Maybe if she had, she could have told me that it could be causing the headaches. What doctor misses something so simple? Then as I'm leaving, there are no discharge papers or anything. I just left, waste of 50 bucks. After that experience, I will never go there or recommend the place to anyone. Most Urgent Care clinics will see children, don't get sold on the pediatric pitch. Ask someone you know for a referral... Having a sick child is stressful enough without this nonsense. We all know how difficult it can be to see a doctor or get Covid testing during this time. After hours of searching for a center with rapid testing with available hours, I gave in and paid the $50 fee/ kid for my 3 children to get tested. They made a mistake and performed a different covid test and wouldn't take accountability or give a sincere apology for their mistake. The lack of empathy and rudeness was a total turn off. I most likely will not return to this facility with this being the 3rd time I've experienced a miscommunication and inconvenient situation from their staff. read more

I took my son there yesterday at 6pm and was very happy with everything. I have never been in a doctors office that was as state-of-the-art as they were. It took 10 minutes to register us into their system and then they took us into Triage where the nurse took my son's vitals. Then we were brought into an exam room with a huge flat screen tv. My son was watching tv the entire time and was so relaxed. The doctor was very nice and helpful. All told, we were in and out in 25 minutes. This was great as I can never get an appointment in the evening with my son's pediatrician. They are also open on the weekends which is great. read more

Terrible wait at this Urgent Care. Nothing like waiting more than 2 hours with your young child, then seeing people who came in after you leave before you when you had an appointment. The friendly triage nurse makes the place even more pleasant (sarcasm). As a follow up to this review. I left this place with no real answers. The doctor told me my child would need minor surgery. Later that night I received a call from them to see how my child was doing to only be told, oh we made a mistake, we called the wrong person. I took my child to another doctor who gave us meds and the reason why we went in is now gone. Stay away from this place. read more

Dr Reyes was amazing, and everybody was very pleasant! We took our son for having intermittent fever for the past 3 days, cough and runny nose. Dr Reyes was very calm with his explanations, his care plan and discharge recommendations. The waiting wasn't too bad either. + The facility has very friendly hours. There was no waiting for my visit. I was in and out in 45 minutes (due to paperwork, and some waiting inside the room) + The attending staff was very polite and pleasant. This is a big PLUS. + They have a lot of rooms, with different themes like Paris, London, Madrid, etc. I think the kids would like this. - The co-pay is not your regular pediatrician co-pay. It's specialist co-pay. For most people it is 60% or 100% more than the regular co-pay. As long as you go in with this expectation, you will have be happier. I personally don't think it's worth paying double everytime. I'll use this service sparingly. It's not like they give anything special or have any specialist doctors. - I met a doctor called Dr. John Gabriel. He seemed polite and like a nice dude. But he didn't seem to have much experience working with kids nor was he any good with them. I asked him a question, and his response was "you have to ask your doctor". I was wondering, who the hell is he then (if not a doctor) and why am I and my insurance company's together paying them atleast $75 for a 7 minute consultation? read more

My daughter fell when we were out to dinner one night. We brought her here as cash customers. They were extremely pleasant and we were seen quickly. The care from the front desk clerk nurses assistant, Nurse and Dr was all wonderful. I would highly recommend them for a minor emergency over an ER visit if your pediatrician is unavailable. read more

The intake process here is superb. They give you a little tablet on which to enter in your details, and you can swipe your credit card right on it. We were seen right away, which was fantastic. The triage nurse was very friendly and wonderful with kids. The issue here is that we saw a PA-in- training and a nurse - no doctor or PA. They seemed confused by my child's rash, and kept asking me questions about how our pediatrician had treated it last time. I did not get a sense of confidence from them at all. They were friendly and professional, and I'm happy to have them there as trainees, but it would have been better if he was seen by an experienced pediatric PA or doctor (who could have been able to recognize the nature of the rash on sight- as our pediatrician had in the past). The whole reason I brought my son to a pediatric urgent care was so that he would be seen by professionals who are extremely familiar with common childhood ailments. read more

We had a great experience! Not only were we in and out in 30 min, the staff was friendly, organized and seemed to really care about their patients. We took my son to see them on a Saturday afternoon. We didn't think his arm was broken, but better safe than sorry! The dr took us almost immediately in case they needed an X-ray tech (tech was on-call, 15 min away). Turns out his elbow was dislocated. The dr fixed him right up in no time! Most (maybe all - my husband filled it out) of the paperwork we submitted online. It was great that this office prioritized my 14 mo old son first and the annoying (but necessary) paperwork 2nd. He was all smiles by the time we left. :) This office is definitely geared towards kids -- has toys, a movie on and stickers (what kid doesn't love stickers?!). Hopefully we won't have to visit any time soon, but with an adventurous, curious little boy I know where we'd take him if his regular dr isn't available. read more

I have been here with both my children at least 6 times. My son needed stitches above his eyebrow. I refused the plastic surgeon option and had them do the work and to this day when I mention this to anyone no one can find the scar after 5 stitches. My daughter has been there a few times for typical ear infections, HFM etc. I am in and out of there in usually an hour or less. My regular pediatrician cant provide this fast of service with a scheduled appointment! the place is very clean the rooms are bright and cheerful and every room has a TV to help distract the children. The staff is very friendly and look like they enjoy coming to work unlike the miserable staff at the hospitals. Also unlike most adult urgent cares, here you see a doctor and not a PA. read more

My daughter needed urgent care yesterday and the service here was amazing. The reception staff was very courteous and efficient. No laborious paper work, all done electronically. Overall excellent service by reception, nurse and the doctor. We got out having our needs fully taken care of. This place is simply amazing. Sooo refreshing to see such professionalism. Mine was a horrible experience, i took my SON who was suffering from flu with stomach ache .I was taken inside after 30minutes into the LONDON room and there body temperature and reason for the visit are entered into the system and then moved into SHANGHAI room. Waited there for 20 more mins while my son's stomach was aching badly and then the doctor came rushing and washed her hands in the clogged sink and then started asking questions, with a smelly breath. Same questions again, What is the reason for the visit, does he have any fever, did anyone give any medicine ? I was shocked and asked Dr whether she went through the patient's record or not so she said she didn't as she is very busy since there are 5 more patients in front of us for urgent care. I said fine and then she did some checkups and recommended Nebulizer and she will give some prescription and also she gave some medicine and then said if the medicine does not show any effect in next couple of days she recommended us to visit our pediatrician . I was baffled as my son does not have any asthma/whooping cough then why Nebulizer ? also I assume I have visited a pediatrician then how come she is referring me to another pediatrician when his medical history is clean ? Then we stepped out and now Dr is in front of computer and I said please send my prescription to the nearest walgreens then she said is the patient name "EMILY" ??? While losing my temper I said NO!! that's not the name then she find the name and said walgreens will have the prescription in next 10 mins. I left the place and went to walgreens after 30 mins and surprisingly there is no prescription when I called up the office then they said walgreens should have in another 10mins. While I was waiting I was thinking whether I should use the prescribed medicine or not because I was not confident whether the prescribed medicine is for the right symptoms or not. I do not want to take any chances, so I bought Motrin from the counter and prepared to go to ER if needed in the night but not to this center again and next morning I have visited our pediatrician. Well this is my experience, hope you will have a better one. read more

I went here twice before. The front desk was staff was absolutely amazing and super nice, the doctors on the other hand are horrid. The first time I went i was throwing up every minute etc... They said i have a UTI & prescribed me antibiotics. The next day, it got worse so I admitted myself into the emergency room & told me it was actually the stomach flu & that the uti medication was messing up my stomach lining more! On June 12, I was forced to come here again after having a very bad sore throat. It looked like it was bleeding & it was closing up, my ears were also hurting along with a migraine... Im no doctor but I have had strep throat multiple times & i know exactly what it feels like. After waiting for what seemed like hours (there was ONE other person in the waiting room) the doctor AMY JOHN comes in the room & at this point I am at the peak of pain.. it was unbearable. She comes in to look at my throat & claims its barely red & i came back negative for strep, also telling me she will not give me anything to relive the pain. Once I heard that I started bawling, & instead of being a nice gentle doctor she tells me I have a BAD ATTITUDE. She begins to get mad & rushes to get out of the room. The next day I went to a different Urgent Care & I immeditatley was told I tested positive for strep! They ALSO called me 3 days later telling me the lab sent back my test & i actually test positive. Im 20 years old & all I can say is I WOULD NEVER bring my children here. So unprofessional. read more

I'm satisfied with this place and the doctor who took off the splinter from my 2yo daughter's foot. I would however like to suggest doing something about the ventilation inside where there's little space but lot of people. Very friendly staff. I do recommend this place. read more
