    RIP my sweet Rosie
    Joanne L.

I had to take my sweet kitty, Rosie, to Animerge for an emergency visit last month. It turned out that my girl had a blood clot and there was nothing we could do. I can't say enough good things about the staff at Animerge. Everyone was so kind and compassionate. Dr Guzman was very empathetic and took time to explain everything to me. Thank you to everyone for being so nice to me during this very difficult time.

If you need to see a vetinarian and it's after hours and an Emergency then Animerge in Raritan on 202/206 south is the place to go. You will pay more then an average vet visit around $175 to have your pet seen. They are open 24 hours a day and you don't need an appointment. You just show up and get buzzed in. If by chance it's 2am in the morning like when I needed to go, and you get there and you try to get buzzed in and no one answers just call them on their phone and let them know you're at their door. Sometimes they don't hear the buzzer which will let you in. They tend to be in the back helping other animals. There is a large parking lot in the back where the entrance is. Animerge is a full Emergency Animal Hospital for cats and dogs. My 16 yr old black Pomeranian Max was having seizures on and off since Christmas morning. My regular vet was closed and I was advised if my dog had another two more seizures within three hours apart I would need to go to Animerge. Sadly,he did have two more seizures, and the meds weren't working. His last one was over five minutes. The staff at Animerge was extremely caring and compassionate. Everything going on with my Max was carefully, and gingerly explained to me. I never felt rushed or pressured into making a decision. The Vetinarian on call was Dr Selena Davis, she was very kind and compassionate. The two techs working with her were also wonderful. I was given several options and unfortunately, I had to make some very tough choices for my beautiful dog. They all consoled me.( My daughter and I were a total mess.) I was brought into a room, and given time with my Max. They wrapped him in a very soft fleece blanket, The one I brought with me he soiled. My Max did come out of his seizure but I was told he would not have any quality of life, and the seizures would probably get worse. Again, sadly my Max went to doggie heaven. Dr Davis allowed me to stay with my dog throughout the entire procedure, my Max went peacefully. I was given a couple of sets of paw prints, until the ones I ordered arrived along with some of his hair clippings for remembrance. I did have to decide on what course of action I wanted for my dog. Again,I was given several options. This was my second time at Animerge in four years. I also had to put down my female Pomeranian Lola. I was surprised to receive a beautiful card in the mail yesterday with a note saying how sorry they were for my loss. I truly felt the staff working here are total animal lovers. Both of my experiences here have been nothing but very positive. I have read some other reviews that said otherwise, but I can only say really good things about Animerge.

Very long wait, would be bad if it were truly an emergency 3hr wait, Dr. Freeman is great! Kind and compassionate, hope you have a shorter wait time and Dr. Freeman sees your beloved pet. Dr. Freeman did some courtesy IV and nail trim at zero dollars, even with wait have to give 5 stars

We were given an appointment right away. Upon arriving, the staff was very attentive and friendly. They walked us through every step. Once our dog was seen, the doctor came and explained our dogs situation. Unfortunately, our dog was diagnosed with heart failure and a possible thyroid tumor. The doctor went over all of the options and helped us make the right decision. Our sweet boy gained his angel wings and crossed the rainbow bridge where he will no longer feel any pain. The office provides grief counseling. We received a heart of seeds to plant in memory of our dog and a sweet keepsake keychain. Today, in the mail we received a sympathy card with a handwritten message from the treating doctor. Although the outcome was not what we had expected, the care and attention our dog received in just a few hours made the trip worth it. If your looking for an office that really cares about your pet, look no further.

I brought my orange domestic shorthair in for severe constipation after I couldn't get an appointment with my regular vet. They assisted us immediately, performing x-rays, starting fluids, and providing medication and an enema. By the time we left, she was already doing much better. The facility itself is very bright and comforting, which helped ease the stress of an emergency visit. They even have snacks and beverages for pet parents! It is a very active ER--it was intense seeing other pets coming in and witnessing some difficult moments for other families--but the team was incredible at multitasking and treating everyone with compassion. It is more expensive than a standard vet visit, but for the immediate service and high quality of care we received, it was absolutely worth it. I'm so grateful for this place and its convenient service when we needed it most.

He got me through some REALLY tough times over the past ten years, and honestly I'm not sure how I would have gotten through the pandemic without him. So knowing his time with me was coming to a close, I left it in his hands to tell me when it was time to go. And, unfortunately, that was the day he woke up and his eyes said simply, "Enough." The staff was attentive and kind from the jump. An examination revealed the options, but it was obvious that whatever was happening was quite serious - and I was given a breakdown of potential next steps. Of course with Sid's age, putting him down was also an option, and I already knew this is what we were going with. I did not receive any pressure to run any preliminary tests, procedures, or additional costs. I was simply told what the options were, and provided with an honest opinion of what the outcomes could be. And all options sucked. BUT it was obvious that the people helping me genuinely cared, and it made the heartbreak just a tiny bit easier. I had never had to do this before and I came in with Sid alone, so the vet guided me through what we were doing, what was next, and gave me ample time in between to say goodbye. Again, no real way to make these things less painful, but there was something in the attention and care I was receiving that made me feel like I wasn't going through it alone. The staff was going through it with me. I also received a beautiful card in the mail from them afterwards, hand-signed with a personal message from each - and this small gesture brought such warmth to my heart that I felt I had to share it. Highly recommend this place.

I spent 3+ hours there but it didn't feel like it. I was able to be by his side the entire time, there was hydration and snacks, and I was comfortable. I feel like every nurse checked in with us at least once. Even my cat felt chill enough after a while to curl up and nap in his large cage (they were quite busy and all rooms were taken). As off Feb '25 it was $200 for just the most basic care, for what it's worth, and in our situation it was very much worth it. They sent everything to my usual vet, including recommended follow up testing. Flippin' awesome and so helpful for moving forward after a terrible Sunday!

After searching Yelp for an open Veterinary Hospital on a Friday night; found Eclipse open 24 hours. So, I made the call and spoke with them to confirm they were open and they have the ability to address her situation. Arriving after a 20 minute ride, there was no waiting time, they took her immediately to the treatment area for a prompt examination of her situation. After completing the initial intake documentation we spoke with a technician to explain the situation that led us there. After a period of time, the ER Vet - Dr. Charlotte Van Horne spoke with us regarding the different pathways of a diagnosis for the treatment of vertigo, along with of her progression . The Doc gave a thorough explanation and was showed patience in answering all our questions. She didn't rush or push her treatment, and I appreciated the clear explanations provided and treatment plan. After a day at home, we decided to bring her back Saturday since my dog refused to eat or drink water for approximately 24 hours, hence she was unable to take her meds. The waiting room was busy with other dogs and cats. We spoke with the staff and then consulted with Dr. Katie Bazewicz on her diagnosis and our options. We chose to admit her for the next 24 hours so my dog can get the proper amount of fluids via an I.V.; actually kept her admitted until Monday morning when our dog would be examined by the Vet Neurologist - Dr. Boaz Levitin. He provided a thorough exam and gave his diagnosis which gave us comfort with the current treatment plan and didn't just push us for an MRI, which isn't the best option due to my dog's age. We were extremely impressed with the level of care and attention we received. The entire medical team was professional, knowledgeable, and communicative; from the receptionist, med techs, nurses, doctors, and specialist. The staff were friendly and empathetic throughout our several visits. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. The waiting room is large and nicely decorated for the holidays. They have a complimentary water, along with a coffee/tea/hot chocolate machine to include a soda/snack vending machine. The price points for the services may be higher than your usual Vet bill, however you need to understand that this is a 24 hour ER service. It could be a little pricey, but my question is how important is your furry family member valued by you and your family in your home. Overall, I was very satisfied with the care provided and would highly recommend Eclipse ER Vet Hospital to others. The compassionate and professional service I experienced is a credit to the hospital and its entire staff.

Despite being in the medical field myself, I felt in over my head with a feline emergency. Thankfully, I was met with care and compassion every step of the way starting with the initial triage, and Pouncey was rushed back for immediate evaluation after I described his symptoms. Special thanks to Dr. Kuck, who was extremely thorough and despite already making the initial diagnosis of FLUTD, performed additional workup as Pouncey's bloodwork looked suspicious. She ultimately also diagnosed him with a left kidney mass. Although this was devastating news, she performed the necessary workup and helped me transition seamlessly to his local vet back in California, even calling several days later to follow up and make sure his records got sent over. Pouncey is thankfully on the mend, and is scheduled to see a local surgeon for his tumor - all of this would have been impossible without the expert and timely care from Eclipse!

As a pet owner, hearing that when there was still hope and treatment available is absolutely heartbreaking and unacceptable. Thankfully, my friend trusted her instincts and chose to move forward with the surgery anyway. Today, Rusty is alive, healthy, happy, and running around like nothing ever happened. I cannot understand why euthanasia would be pushed so quickly when the issue was treatable and the owner was willing to proceed with care. They said it was $10 (cash or check only even though they do NOT mention that on the phone or anywhere), but I wish I just paid $20 to go to a more reputable, safer, and cleaner business. My experience went like this: Walk in, the floor is crumbling, it smells horrendous, there is a used couch randomly to the side with a little kid sitting on it (little kid belongs to the lady i think?) Now I do not expect a dog grooming place to be shiny clean, but I do expect it to not be THIS bad. A lady comes around the corner with nail clippers and says we do it right there and now. No asking of pet's name, pet's behavior or vaccines, or my name. I was barely 2 ft in the door and she just starts clipping his nails. My dog has anxiety over nail clippings and I said it is probably better to put him on the table (like most places do) but she said no for their safety. I haven't experienced that before but I went with it. I wanted to just leave there immediately as I was actually worried on how unsanitary it was and just having my dog in that space. When I left, she did not even clip the dewclaw at all on any of my dog's feet. The nails were still EXTREMLEY long. As in.. I have already made an appointment at a more reputable place in Bridgewater for this weekend because his nails still need to be actually clipped. I am completely serious when I say AVOID this place at all costs. It is unsanitary to a point of unsafe. They have a child just wandering in the front of the shop (which can also be a safety issue for both the dog's and the child). For a lack of kinder words, it looked like I walked into a drug den to be completely honest. There are so many other places nearby that you pay $5-10 more and are reputable, safe, clean, and will actually clip the dog's nails. I actually don't understand how this place is legally allowed to be open. I don't usually write many reviews, but I am doing so for the safety of other dog's out there.
