It's been awhile since I've come to this mall and a lot of stores have closed down. I was there over the weekday and it was pretty dead.

Now sears is gone. Macy's as well now. That's it. The mall is gone. I sure miss the old county East mall.

We finally decided to make a dedicated shopping trip out of it, and I was honestly surprised by how large the outlet center is. There are well over a hundred stores, ranging from designer brands to more everyday retailers, so it's easy to spend an entire day there if you're not careful. We quickly realized it was best to focus on a handful of stores rather than trying to see everything. We ended up visiting places like Clarks, Adidas, Levi's, Banana Republic, and Gap. Every store we walked into had impressive sales for selected items or for everything in the store. Some of the prices were the best I had seen in a while. I walked away with two pairs of shoes and a pair of pants, though still nowhere near as much as my significant other bought! Overall, it turned into a fun and relaxing day. One helpful tip: it's an open-air outlet mall, so visiting on a nice day definitely makes the experience more enjoyable.

I ended up skipping around focusing on the stores which really interested me. After I got tired, I realized I hadn't even covered half the center. Well, if you enjoy shopping, plan on a long day and you might wanna make a list of the stores that are of high interest. I don't think it's at all possible to visit every store in the center in one day. Overall, I like this outlet center a lot. It took a bit more travel time to get here, but certain stores are pretty unique. I inadvertently ended up at the far corner of the center, which sure made parking really easy.

I have frequented all of the restaurant locations and have had good experiences at them. We like to eat at Mikado Bistro for sushi once and a while. Menchie's frozen yogurt is always a hit with us, their flavors are yummy, original, and change often. Good family places to go to. And on the days you cannot resist chocolate, See's Candies is a wonderful treat - don't forget to get your free sample. Raley's is a beautiful grocery store. Well stocked, organized, colorful, clean, and they have a beautiful flower selection here. The flowers are affordable and their florists are helpful. Sand Creek Crossing is conveniently located off the Highway 4 Bypass. Go check it out and cross some things off of your shopping to-do list or enjoy a meal!
