One of my best friends got married here and it was the perfect venue for a spring wedding!…read more Reservations: I'm not sure how far in advance my friends reserved the venue. But if you're looking to have an event here, they do offer tours so check out their site for availability. Parking: The parking available on the venue is on gravel. Vibe: The flowers and greenery around the entire venue were beautiful. I loved how seamless the venue, bridal suite, and reception area flowed. The bridal suite is so big and has a large kitchen area with a fridge; a living room area with a couch and several chairs; a bathroom with a shower; a room that was used for hair & make up; and a front and back porch. The main venue space has a downstairs space that was used as both the reception area and the dance floor. I enjoyed celebrating my friends at this beautiful spot! I think it would be a great spot for weddings, vow renewals, and/or other large events.

I attended a wedding earlier this month (August 2021) at The Wildflower Barn at Little River. I had…read morea great time. For my wife and me, it was our first wedding since November 2019 (pre-COVID). Personally, the vaccines have been a game-changer for us and we felt comfortable at this indoor-outdoor gathering of about 90-95 people. Plus, we didn't want to miss this. We came in from out of state to make it. At first, I got The Wildflower Barn at Little River confused with Little River Farms, the wedding and special events venue next door. The two venues, plus Brick & Ivey in Marietta, are owned and operated by the same group. I believe there was another wedding going on at Little River Farms at the same time because when I pulled up to The Wildflower Barn at Little River, there were folks with signs directing people which way to go depending on which couple's wedding they were attending. The parking was valet in a gravel driveway and parking lot, which I was not expecting. The valet guys were nice and did a good job. The ceremony was held outside, unplugged. The cocktail hour was held inside and outside. The dinner reception was held inside the barn. And there was a beautiful lantern send-off outside, the way we came in. Everything was well-organized and went off without a hitch, as far as I could tell. For an event with about 90-95 people, I thought the size of The Wildflower Barn at Little River was appropriate. Over 100, I suspect it may start feeling tight. Overall, I thought the venue was beautiful, particularly the outside with all the plants and well-manicured landscaping, whimsical string lighting, and farm feel. Inside, the reception space felt open and modern. The space was very well lit and also well ventilated and air conditioned. At the reception dinner, a served buffet was catered by Southern Charmed Catering by Little River Farms. I thought the food was delicious. It consisted of a fresh spring mix salad with choice of honey balsamic or ranch dressing, green beans amandine, whipped buttermilk potatoes, mesquite-grilled chicken breast, pork chops with maple bourbon beurre blanc with sweet and spicy BBQ sauces, and dinner rolls. During cocktail hour, there were two hors d'oeuvres, chicken satay (skewers) and crab rangoon. During both the cocktail hour and reception, there were two open bars, one inside and one outside. King of Pops was on-site as was Pearl's Tea of Suwanee (bubble tea). Robot Booth provided the fun photo booth and DJ Rylan with DJ Cuttlefish, the team of DJs associated with Robot Booth, was the emcee and provided the music (playlist by the bride). I was told the wedding cake was by Angel Bakery, located inside Hong Kong Supermarket in Norcross, and additional dessert cake was provided by Nothing Bundt Cakes. I was familiar with all of the vendors except for Angel Bakery which I think is well-known among the Asian (specifically, Vietnamese) community in Gwinnett. The cake was excellent. My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves at The Wildflower Barn at Little River. I think it's an ideal wedding venue depending on what you're going for.

The person who answered stated they couldn't book the reservation themselves but assured him someone would call back shortly to confirm. Unfortunately, no one ever called back. After that, no one answered the phone for the rest of Tuesday, Wednesday, or most of Thursday. When he finally reached someone right before closing on Thursday, he was told they were completely booked. This experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing due to the lack of communication and follow-up. We understand places get busy, but not returning calls and then suddenly being fully booked after initially confirming availability is poor customer service. Their reservation system also clearly needs improvement. An online reservation model would make much more sense because the current phone-based process is not working effectively. Although I've enjoyed tea here on a couple of different occasions, the experience is not astonishing enough to return after this reservation experience.

My best friend and I have been eyeing this place for a while on social media. The decor was…read moreeverything we saw online. It was very cutesy, very demure. We finally got reservations for an Afternoon High tea experience. I love supporting local small businesses, especially small black owned businesses. I have some amazing things to say about this business and some MAJOR critiques. I want this business a chance to do better. The main theme of disappointed I see in the reviews was the lack of service, and we definitely experienced that first had. I totally understand the servers being young teenage girls, but wow we really had to exercise patients with them. The servers did not want to be there nor Work at all. They looked at us like they couldn't wait to go home. My group had 7 women and 2 kids so we got 4 tea pots in total, 2 Tea towers, all our own hot plate. We never got the complimentary ginger juice sample. I completely understand the concept of reservation, and keeping our time slot in mind. That being said I really did not like that our servers kind of made us wait a lot, I felt like we really wasted about 30 minutes just getting our teas. I did not appreciate the server giving my aunt attitude when the wrong Tea was booked. This is why I said triple check your reservation, because just trying to change to High tea was irritating of arguing back and forth. Mam, We understand that the High Tea cost more, we will pay the $10 difference. It was as if the servers were scared we weren't going to pay for it, or they did not want to prepare the hot plates being it was more work for them. I liked that they had an extensive Tea selection. Unfortunately they were pretty much out of more than half of the teas we wanted to try. Each person in our group had one tea that we absolutely loved, and then hated the rest. The yellow text on the menu is caffeinated tea and the blue text on the menu is non-caffeinated tea. I did not like that we had to BEG for milk and sugar. When it finally came, she brought the TINIEST vessel of milk to share between 9 people, it was a serving for one person at best. I felt like a broken record at the end of the experience having to constantly ask for things. We weren't trying to be difficult, but the service was absolutely trash. They never brought us our last tea pot because there was only 20 minutes left in our reservation. Mam we asked for the pot 30 minutes prior, making it a total of 50 minutes. We had plenty of time for our last pot. You guys literally did not want to work that day. The tea tower was very cute, and I liked how there were plenty of foods on there. I just wished the server didn't half ass explain what was on there, we didn't know what item was what . Imagine my surprise eating the Coronation Chicken finger sandwich had grapes in it. It honestly was very good, a curry chicken flavor. There were 5 different finger sandwiches. Chicken Coronation(should be curry chicken), cucumber, Egg Salad, Salmon lox, and Pimento cheese. The Scones were amazing & soft. As for the desserts, we didn't know what was what either, and it seemed like our two tea towers had slightly different desserts. The hot plate was mid at best. It did come literally Hot, but it did not come all at once. My Quiche went cold by the time everyone else got their food. The server forgot to take my order and told me I ordered the Quiche. I guess that was fine too....? They ran out of Gouda for the Turkey croissant anyways. I asked the server for salad dressing for my sliver of lettuce. The server said "oh its on there & left". When the other finally plates came, my salad was the only one dry as hell. They forgot to put dressing on mine and gaslight me. They only had 3 Hot plate options this day, because they ran out of everything else. We came on a Saturday, it is prime service time. How do you not prepare for this?? Especially when we were the first group of people there! The room we got was cute, but very very Tight. There was a huge dresser in the room that took up a bit of space. The King Charles cut out almost gave us a heart attack. It was hiding & creeping in the background. While we had the room to ourselves, the servers didnt close our room. We were right across from the toilet, We could still see the other guests. The tea cups and plates were all so cute! I just wished they gave us an extra fork for the Hot plate, bc using the same fork for cake on Quiche is wild. We all wanted to try the different teas, but we had to chug each cup before we can try a different flavor. If not change the cups for each pot, I was tasting the basil flavor from Earl grey in the hibiscus tea. If we had better service I think our experience would have been a 10 out of 10. The venue is beautiful, and the food was very good. Tea could use some work, theres not a lot of space. We all had fun, I appreciate my aunt for including me in this.

Under new ownership. This review is just for the golf course and a couple beers at the 19th hole…read more This is a membership only golf club with steep guest fees for playing with a member. The course was in need of some upgrading under the old ownership and that is still the case under the new owners. You can see where they are painting the Clubhouse and getting some sand added to the traps. There are a two greens that are near impossible to putt on making our groups take automatic 2 putts. Course maintenance is sorely lacking due to the low points in the fairways and most sand traps being full of leaves and piles of sand. At this point it is not worth anywhere near the one hundred dollar green fee. The cart paths will rattle you're brain. Everyone that we came in contact with was very hospitable. The bar and table service was excellent for our group. The guys cleaning and taking our golf clubs to the bag drop were excellent as well. Hope they get it together for next year.

Nichole made sure everything ran so smoothly, like I even forgot I hired a caricature artist until someone reminded me Nichole had set him up on the terrace. Kelly somehow knew where all my stuff was better than I did & is an excellent writer so she helped us with our signs. They have a private bridal suite in the women's locker room ground level and a men's locker room upstairs. The decor is elegant and perfect for mood lighting. The food was amazing! The chef knows what he's doing and has such good recipes. You must go with the Asian steak. The lemon drops from the bar are excellent as well. We got beautiful lakeside photos and got to ride around in golf carts and my husband never drove one before so that was a journey. The wild rice pilaf, Asian steak & gorgonzola salad were my favorites. We also had salmon, rolls, and prime rib on our menu and mixed veggies and scalloped potatoes. Plus apps like beef wellington, crab cakes and coconut shrimp. Literally everyone was talking about the food (in a good way) If you're unsure about this place, hit me up and I can show you more pics or give more info but this was an excellent decision for us.
