Absolutely loved our experience working with Lucia (Lucy) at Something New. She really listened to what my daughter was looking for in her dream bridal gown and was patient in helping her try different styles. She included everyone in our party, including the maid of honor on video call. We loved the semi-private fitting area and bright, natural light of their showroom. The views of the mountains are gorgeous in the background and we loved being able to enjoy our own charcuterie and Proseco, while we waited. The staff is so welcoming, sweet and "pretty in pink" and we are so happy our daughter said "Yes to the Dress - in COS" here at Something New. Prices were on the mid-range compared to other places we shopped in the Chicsho area, but the quality of the dresses here definitely made it worthwhile. Customer Service was terrible. A pair of pants from a $300 suite bought from Something New ripped/came apart along the outer leg seam, pants only worn once. Something New was not willing to fix the pants, due to a defect, at no charge. Tried to tell me they could be fixed easily by a seamstress. I made an appointment with Karen, the stylist too. Karen was so helpful and thoughtful towards me! She listened to what style of dresses I liked or perhaps not my taste. Karen was VERY intuitive towards what I was looking for in a mother of the bride dress! She works with you on dress colors and styles based on your body shape and skin tone. When I asked for help with a gown and couldn't find a dress in my size stylist said "you should try goodwill". Wild behavior.

I said yes to my dress yesterday, and couldn't have asked for a better stylist and shop. I had tried on at other shops prior to this one in Denver (Vow'd and LUV) so I had an idea of what I was liking at that point in time, just every dress I found was beautiful but not mine. I had Katie, who was AMAZING. I went alone as I wanted to pick a dress I loved and was comfortable in without anyone else's opinion. Plus I like the idea of first looks with the bridesmaids and family. They had a variety of dresses all in my price range, and were so beautiful! At the very end I tried on a dress and felt like it was the one but told myself I had to sit on it and look back at pictures (me scared of saying yes). Katie scheduled an appointment for a follow up a few days later, and immediately when I put it on I was crying, Katie was crying and today I said yes. Katie was super respectful, kind, passionate about her job and her clients, I felt like I had her undivided attention and was never rushed, or made to feel guilty for being so specific about what I was liking. She did a great job hyping me up (without it being over the top) and making me feel heard. So I ordered my dress and we will see in a few months!! read more

Pretty unimpressed with the service here. I arrived a few minutes before my appointment started and we waited a bit before someone found us and asked if we had been helped. A woman told us she "thinks" she is the one helping us. Then she walked away and came back 5 minutes later. Then we were shown to our dressing area and they quick went and write my name on a whiteboard. Then she asked me to describe my style and asked some things about me. I found this a bit odd since I received 3 different texts and had 2 phone calls from the boutique in preparation for my appointment. The most recent call I was asked to describe my style and I was told that information was added to my profile, but evidently not. By the time I tried on my dress it was 40 minutes after my appt was. After 15 minutes, the First Lady who was helping us said she had to go do something else and so she brought in a different rep to help us. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL. This lady knew nothing about where I was at during this process. Unfortunately, I felt uncomfortable and not respected throughout my whole appointment. The dresses were dirty and I felt I was not taken as seriously because I didn't want to buy the more expensive dresses. I am so shocked to see all the 1 star reviews, I love Something New so much! Every single person treats you with so much respect, kindness and they certainly make you feel special. I worked with Sarah as my stylist, but I have talked to Ella, Maitlin, Lucia and Sophia. Every single one of them is like having a new bestie help you pick your dress, it felt just like "Say Yes To The Dress!" I was more than happy with the service they provided. Also, since I see a lot of comments saying the price was not discussed, I agree. However, I was very firm on not going about my budget and Sarah never did. Anything I pulled off the rack that was outside of my budget she would tell me. I think if you explain and stand your ground on anything you'll be better off. If you get upset by their policy then you can say no thanks and go somewhere else. I want to add that they were so flexible on my scheduled appointment. Originally, I was schedule for an 11:30 am appointment but this terrible winter storm caused my family to get held up on the other side of the state. They were able to push it back an hour, but the snow caused so much trouble they got me rescheduled for the same day in the evening. They made accommodations for my party size when it was going to be large and said I could have as many people as I wanted. Of course I am sure within reason, I think they said about 12 people could fit into one space. It was fun to pick my wedding dress, and surprisingly I got to name my dress after me!! It was a brand new dress to their shop and no one had purchased it yet, so that made me so happy. It really made me feel all the more special. The best part is I stayed within my budget of less than 3k, and my dress is a mermaid style which can be so much more expensive. I heard after getting my dress that people come far and wide to get their wedding and prom dresses here. 1000% would recommend this place for any woman! read more

They price the dress according to your budget. If you say your budget is 3g... they will price your dress at $2600 (bc its still within your budget) and in reality the dress retails for $1800... If your looking for Essence of Australia or Stella York, I would recommend going up to Ft. Collins to Dora Bridal or look elsewhere. I got rip off about $400 here at something new. You'll see why if you end up purchasing. PICKING UP YOUR BRIDAL GOWN: You get 2 options. 1.) Grab and Go - Weekends only *which i highly do not suggest you to do. As it sounds, you don't get to try on the dress. With that said you can't see if it fits or the imperfections. ***I picked this option bc I had no time on the weekdays to try my dress on. Come to find out there was a small hole on the side of my wedding dress*** 2.) Trying on your bridal gown- weekDAYS ONLY. This was the most frustrating part. Im driving 1.5 hours away and unable to make it on the weekday so my only option was the grab and go. This place is very business oriented so I can see why they only allow this option on the weekday... so that they get more clients on the weekend to purchase. Upon picking up my dress there was no designated spot. It was literally on the hall way where people were walking back and forth. One of the employees almost stepped on my dress.... If you purchase a dress here they will give you a box of goodies. You will be there walking advertisement. Dresses DO NOT take 6-12 months to ship.. don't stress on the time for the dress to come in. This boutique was amazing. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with water and they took us to our little section where we'll be. I loved how private and intimate this boutique was. Sophia did an amazing job accommodating the styles I wanted and hyping us up and making our whole experience wonderful. This was the best experience I have ever had trying to find a dress. They are there to greet you as soon as you get up the stairs. My amazing helper was Liv and she was such a beauty to work with. She actually tried to get to know me to figure out which dress I was interested in. She was an amazing help and so honest with what colors would look best on me. Their dresses were high quality which is key for us mid size girls, stylists weren't pushy, and listened well without too much of the pre try in conversation. I highly recommend requesting Ella as your consultant. She was amazing and combined my preferences with what she thought would be most flattering and knocked it out of the park. I found my dream dress and felt like a QUEEN on my wedding day! The staff is extremely nice, helpful & make your dressing buying experience fun. **MY DRESS HAD POCKETS** However - a saleswoman who helped me at the time I bought my dress, told me that my dress included sleeves. When it came time to see if my sleeves needed to be altered, there were no sleeves and I was later told by the shop that the dress never came with sleeves (even though she showed them on me at the time and said we ordered my dress with them) and that the original person who helped me no longer works there. I had to go back in (days before my wedding) to find sleeves. They did give me a 50% discount, but was charged full price ($300) for a simple veil... on Black Friday when they said they had a huge sale that day. The dress itself was also a bit out of my budget, but I think she knew I couldn't say no once I put it on. Hook, line and sink 'er lol. Being a boutique, I understand they are going to be maybe a bit more pricey, but I still feel I was overcharged for anything I bought there which is why I did not refer my husband or bridesmaids. read more

BRIDES BEWARE!!!!!. I bought my dress at a trunk sale here and it was a very rushed and chaotic experience. They were trying to rush me out the door after my "hour was up" and I had to fight to be able to take extra time to just look at accessories! Then, they don't tell you how much it'll cost to get your dress altered. They don't care about your budget, they just want the sale. My dress wound up costing an additional $1600 in alterations with a private seamstress off site and if my sales person would have been TRUTHFUL with me I would have considered another dress (I later learned that a good/reputable bridal boutique should tell you this up front AND they usually have in house alterations- Something New did not). As a bride and not knowing all of these types of things, we are relying on our sales people and their staff to help us and educate us. They only care about the sale! :( I also purchased a $99 package at the trunk sale which included a bag to take your dress home and for pressing for your wedding day. They don't tell you when you need to have your dress in for the pressing (surprise surprise) and being totally overwhelmed with wedding planning, I had to pay a "rush fee" of an ADDITIONAL $75 (on top of the $99 I already paid) because due to the timing of alterations, I needed to drop off my dress 6 days prior to the wedding instead of 7 (which is the cut off that they do not tell you about). You need to be very careful with your dress alterations and timing of the steaming or they'll get ya on YET ANOTHER hidden fee!!!! You've got to ask a ton of questions because they won't tell you any of this. And you better ask while you're actually there or you'll never be able to get anyone on the phone or get them to call you back. Finally, the day of the wedding, one of my bridesmaids went to pick up the dress at the planned time (which we told them needed to be 2 hours before we really needed the dress because I had to wait for an hour for someone to help me just to drop off the dress for pressing) Despite this, my bridesmaid still had to wait almost 2 HOURS to get the dress!!! She was in a panic and was late for hair and makeup ON THE WEDDING DAY. See, no matter how much planning you try to do in order to work around this awful place, they still screw you over. Overall, SN is more interested in MAKING MONEY than providing a pleasant customer experience. It added SO MUCH STRESS and MONEY to deal with this place during the wedding planning process. I wish I had read reviews before I got caught up in all of the experience of Something New (they have pretty good advertising and their sales people seem so responsive and helpful when they are booking you for that first appointment -and that's where it ends!). I wish I had gone with a totally different bridal boutique. There are other wonderful bridal boutiques with better selection and much better customer service who have in house alterations, who are attentive and caring, WHO ANSWER THE PHONE & return your phone call & provide a much better experience. Hopefully I can help save another bride from this hugely frustrating place and the money pit it wound up being. Do yourself a favor and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!! P.S. other reviews about no price tags and not allowing you to pick out your own dress (or even look at them on your own), high pressure sales tactics and ignoring your inspiration photos are SPOT ON. All I can say is WOW. I had the most incredible experience and Nevaeh was so amazing. She made my experience so effortless and fun. I never felt pressure once to choose a dress and wouldn't you know it, one of the first dresses she pulled was THE ONE. They had so many dresses to choose from, but Nevaeh helped narrow everything down without overwhelming me at all. I chose a dress I never thought I could see myself in, but she saw that vision and brought it to life. The cherry on top was the very reasonable price of the dress, but the quality is incredible. I LOVE this shop!! I found it on The Knot and thought it would be worth checking out because the photos looked really nice. I called to schedule an appointment and the girl on the phone was so pleasant and let me know she was excited to have us visit. When you walk inside you'll see there is hardwood floors and chandeliers and so many dresses to choose from. They carry formal, bridesmaid, bridal dresses and even tuxedos. They even have their own line of dresses that they carry and part of the purchase goes to charity! Before we even started shopping, Kelsi sat down with us and just got to know me and ask questions to see what my theme was going to be and my wedding colors. We just had a conversation for about 15 minutes to become more comfortable. I even found THE dress! I tried on a few and Kelsi did not make me feel rushed ( like I did when I was at David's Bridal) and even let me loop back around and try on a dress and a couple of times to make sure it was the one I was happy with. I asked her if she had another appointment because I didn't want to take someone else's spot with her. She said even if they have another appointment coming in and are still working woth someone, another repesentative works with the guest, they never work with more than one person. LOVE that! After you pick your dress, they switch the music to the wedding march and announce that you have found your dress and you walk from the dressing rooms to the front of the shop. My sister purchased her wedding dress here for her destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The wedding dress appointment was very rushed. She was mislead when she purchased the dress from the associate who no longer works there with copper hair regarding the package she paid for. She received the dress back from the cleaners at Something New and didn't open the bag until the day of the wedding only to find out there were cups in the bra altered on her dress that were not placed like that when she originally purchased the dress. There were at least 15 buttons down the back of the dress that were missing. Hearing my sister cry on her big wedding day is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Where to start?... I went in today looking for a dress to hide my body as much as possible. (Sad but true) I tried on a Hayley Paige dress once before and had decided it would do because it looked the best I thought I'd look. I tried on one similar today at Something New with Ali and then she said, "I have one I'd like you to try on." When she showed it to me I instantly put it down in my head. It will never work.. It's too tight... I dont like the color. Etc. I put on this dress and once she started to pinch it in the back I was in shock. The dress she chose was nothing like I would've chosen for myself and I am NOT easily surprised but I was in complete disbelief. It fit me like a glove, was stunning and was everything I had wanted but never thought I could have. I could tell it was the dress from the looks on my families faces. (because it was matching mine!) Ali had managed to find me a dress that made me look incredible. She put the vail on me and made me close my eyes until she had adjusted it just right. She told me to imagine myself on my wedding day about to walk down the aisle and then she told me to open my eyes. When I opened them I was stunned. I felt like myself, and loved every inch of the dress and my body in it. Ali, I can't thank you enough for not allowing me to settle for the wedding dress I thought would " just have to do " and for finding me a dress that truly made me feel beautiful. Went to there Bridal sale and had a terrible experience. The Consultant sat us down and just started talking about "how much fun we're gonna have and we are gonna find your dress" blah blah blah and then barely even asked what I was looking for and looked at one dress that I had a picture of and then left and started pulling dresses. Never asked my size or exactly what I wanted. She came back and the second dress I tried on about 15 minutes in I did like but I just wasn't exactly sure about it and the consultant kept asking me "Well are you ready to say yes" "Is this your dress" as I was clearly unsure of it and had not even been told the price and it was several sizes larger and would have required ALOT of alterations. (I do understand alterations are involved but this one would have required ALOT) When I wasn't sure she then got very passive aggressive asking "Well what's wrong with it? I thought you liked it". And it almost felt as if I was being attacked for not wanting to get it and being unsure of it. We then continued to try on dresses and she just seemed to get more and more frustrated with me as the appointment went on. I understood it was a sale and it was fast pace but I was told I would have a hour with a consultant but it seemed like she cared more about getting a sale and getting me out the door than actually treating me like a human being. I am more of a plus size bride so shopping is frustrating and I felt like I just wasn't being listened too or heard at all and eventually ended up in tears with frustration and leaving after about 30 minutes of this. Not sure if it was the consultant or just their culture but would definitely not recommend for plus size brides from my experience. Update: They had one of their customer service people call me and were very kind and apologetic and updated me that the person we worked with will be getting extra training.
