She was a pleasure to work with: friendly and warm, stayed within my modest budget, let me know when the flowers were delivered, and most of all created a truly exquisite bouquet with seasonal flowers. It can be so hard to order a bouquet from a florist you don't know in a city you don't live in (as I did); I often submit to dated looking, cookie cutter, FTD bouquets that are nothing more than sufficient. She gave us lists of preferred vendors to choose from, she gave us good questions to ask them, she advised us when we asked, but ultimately let us make our own choices. She was 100% willing to look at any other vendors not on her lists, as well. She made sure we were well informed and comfortable with our choices, but that they were our own, not influenced elsewhere. I found her very helpful with small things especially closer to the wedding. Tons of little questions cropped up and Pam was always on it, she reached out to our venue for us and got us answers so we could focus on other things. The day of the wedding she was amazing. As the bride, I had to worry about nothing. She understood what I asked for and made sure it was all set up--and it was! No issues, no mistakes, no problems, everything ran completely smoothly, largely thanks to Pam's presence and help. Cost-wise, very affordable. I pictured a planner to be MUCH more expensive than Pam is (especially when you're dealing with wedding prices, ho boy!) She has a simple down payment and contract, and final payment due closer to day of. All payments and paperwork were handled well and expediently. In the end, she often says "it's whatever you want!" and she truly works to make that happen.

Well, you'd answer with a resounding "YES" if you ever went to a wedding at the Boylston Rooms. The place has an amazing history. The building was originally an old textile mill from 1814 in the city of West Boylston, MA. When a reservoir was planned in the vicinity of the factory, the building would have been flooded and destroyed. So, what did they do? They disassembled it brick-by-brick, moved everything 70 miles to the west to Easthampton, MA and rebuilt the massive structure. The rebuilding took around eight years (1899 to1907) to complete. The Boylston Rooms complex has two function rooms for a wedding ceremony and reception. They also have a waterfront and courtyard for photos and cocktail receptions, two wedding party suites for hair, makeup, and prep, and an old trolley ride for your guests to travel in. We were there yesterday to check out a show band for a summer convention, and thought the West Room was gorgeous, the staff was fun and attentive, and the sound in the room was fantastic. (And no, these wedding crashers didn't even mooch an eggroll) Pro Tip -there's a free parking lot right across the street on Pleasant Street.

She coordinated everything from the venue which included guest rooms for our out of town friends and family. The food, which was delicious, down to the music and party favors. I believe this closes at sunset but I've been out here at sunrise and it's been pretty quiet until 9:30 am or so. There are a few walking trails and the docks/front of the boathouse (the cement areas) do flood during heavy rain. Definitely a Glastonbury community symbol... :) Lots of kids fishing on the dock/by the river. Playground on the premises & then the Glastonbury parks and rec manages the fields behind the clubhouse. I've been here when there was a wedding and it seemed intimate and romantic. I'm a big fan of this spot!
