I cannot speak highly enough of Rebecca and her bridal gown boutique, Something White. It was my first wedding adventure, and she certainly set the bar high! When scheduling an appointment, I completed a survey that inquired about gown preferences and had me select gowns from the Something White Pinterest. Immediately when I entered the boutique, it was clear she had reviewed my answers and Pinterest selected gowns. She was familiar with what I was looking for, but also encouraged me to try on a few gowns outside my expected style. In trying on gowns, Rebecca's presence and vibe has been unmatched. She was quick to "fit" the gowns, so that each one felt perfect. All of her gowns are of top quality and excellent design. It is difficult to not feel bridal in each one. What has stood out to me about Something White weeks later, is the quality of assistance Rebecca provides her brides. If I could give Rebecca 10 stars, I would. Something White is an out-of-this-world bridal shop. The quality of service is more evocative of a salon in NYC. Cleveland is certainly lucky to have kept Rebecca. I was visiting from Atlanta specifically to shop for a dress with family and after visiting 3 shops in that many days, I felt defeated at having not found "the dress" at my price point. On Monday at 8 AM as I got ready for my 1 PM flight, I checked out Something White's website on a whim and noticed an availability at 9 AM. I texted the number provided and immediately got a response from Rebecca telling me to come in that morning. She graciously welcomed us in despite the chaos we were bringing in with our spur-of-the-moment appointment and calmly found us the most beautiful dresses, all within our budget. She was professional, accommodating, reassuring, and an excellent guide. I especially appreciated her "2-dress" ranking system. I also loved that she started the visit by asking what we didn't love about other dresses we'd considered. She was the only consultant in all 4 shops who appeared to have actually read the intake questionnaire. Traveled from Detroit to Cleveland just to visit Something White and with Rebecca, I found my amazing Pronovias dress (that was only at her unique store and one other shop in Chicago.) I looked everywhere and found no boutique to be as unique and simplistic as hers. I really wanted a unique dress, no big ball gowns or sleath dresses everyone has seen time and time again. I found my wedding dress in this wonderful quaint boutique in Brecksville. I searched for the perfect wedding dress in different shops in Chicago since I live there, but ended up finding my wedding gown in this shop in Brecksville (my husband's hometown). They have a good selection of bridal dresses. I almost bought 2 wedding gowns here because all the dresses that Karin showed me were beautiful. I first visited Something White four years ago when my sister was a bride. We drove down to Hudson, Ohio from Michigan to visit a boutique that had the dress she was looking for. When we arrived, they told us the dress wasn't there (despite having called just a couple hours before and they said they were holding it). My poor sister was devastated, and understandably stressed and unhappy. We did a quick Google search for other boutiques in the area, and Something White came up. The designer she wanted was in their shop, however, we noticed it was closing in 20 minutes and we were about a 15 minute drive away. So my sister called them, explained the situation, and without any hesitation they said they would stay open so she could try dresses on. WOW. We were already impressed with them! Once we got there, we immediately felt comfortable. It has a homey feel thanks to the decor and the owners. They make it such a personal and wonderful experience. Thanks to them, my sister was able to find her dream dress! Cut to four years later, and it was my turn! We knew we wanted to go back to Something White thanks to the experience we had with my sister. It was so exciting and surreal to be the bride this time, and their dress selection was a dream. I tried on about 7 dresses, and they were very respectful of my budget while helping me pick out the dresses. They made this experience so stress free, comfortable, and FUN! When it was my sister's turn, my mom and sister celebrated with champagne while I sipped on sparkling grapejuice (I wasn't 21 yet!). Something White is a beautiful, local shop located in the center of Independence Ohio. It has a wonderful home-like feeling when you step in. The dresses to choose from are absolutely gorgeous ranging from different styles that are up to date with the current trends. Rebecca, the owner, is extremely amazing. What she has done for the healthcare community this year was heartwarming. I am honored to have been apart of it. I couldn't have had a better experience shopping for my wedding dress here. After visiting a few other shops, I made an appointment at Something White and met with Karin. The dress selection here is awesome - I was not looking for something beaded or blingy - they carry more gowns featuring lace, chiffon, tulle, satin, etc. in a range of styles. I loved the personal attention (we were the only people in the shop) and we never felt rushed. I found my dress here, and when I did, Karin was awesome at adding accessories to help me get the full picture. We had a champagne toast afterwards and the whole experience felt so personal. The shop is adorable, intimate, and well stocked. The ordering process was a breeze and I can't wait for my dress to arrive. I went with my sister on Sunday to try on wedding dresses for the first time. I expected to get a little panicky, but I had a wonderful experience! Owner Rebecca took the time to help me pick out about a dozen dresses to try on, and then helped me in and out of them, giving me options along the way like jeweled sashes and lace shrugs for my not so perfect shoulders. The dresses are amazing and not what you will see at chain-bridal stores. The decor is soft and vintage and made me want to move right in. I have not chosen a dress yet, but I am grateful for the personalized and never-pushy service. Keep in mind that if you order a dress it will take 16 weeks to deliver. Not for the last-minute bride. Let me start by saying, I am not a shopping girl. I hate trying on clothes and really am not a fan or playing "dress up". I had gone to other bridal shops and boutiques to be met by either annoyed staff (my wedding date is less than 6 months away) or overly perky and pushy staff. Something White had none of that. Rebecca made me feel great while I was trying on dresses. She gave great suggestions and I really got that one-on-one time I needed while I was there. The shop is beautiful and their selection is totally different than every other boutique out there in the Cleveland area. Since none of my bridesmaids were there, Rebecca even let me try on bridesmaid dresses after I had found my wedding dress so I could see how they look. My only complaint about this place was that they brought up a cup of coffee for me after I had started my dress shopping and I'm too much of a klutz to trust myself drinking coffee in an expensive wedding dress, so my coffee had to go cold while I shopped. The lady was snobby and instantly refused service saying she is by "appointment only." This was not posted online or on the door. Online claims they are open 12-3 not "by appointment only". I was searching for the perfect dress to wear for some special events (including a rehearsal dinner and a wedding) and found two gorgeous dresses that were carried by Something White. I no longer live in NE Ohio, but still visit fairly frequently, and contacted the shop to find out if I could order via phone or email. Rebecca was amazing. Not only was I able to order via email, I was eligible for a sales promotion (gorgeous pearl earrings for free, I wear them all the time!). She also took the time to discover what features of each dress would suite me best, to help me make the final decision on dress style. She even made the suggestion that it could be paired with a cute cardigan for everyday wear. I was also able to have the dress shipped to me, and could bring it to the shop for alterations (which were not needed) on my next trip into town. The dress is gorgeous, and not only have I worn it for the events I originally purchased it for, but also for a date night at the ballet and an awards dinner for work. I was quite apprehensive about wedding dresses and couldn't imagine going into a big overwhelming place with sequins & tulle in every corner. I set up an appointment via email and from the first response, felt much comforted! Rebecca dealt with my concerns, the limited time frame, and welcomed me so warmly that I decided maybe wedding dress shopping could be fun! I was a little ahead of the game when I went to start looking for wedding gowns a couple weeks ago considering my wedding is slated for late August 2014. My trip to Something White was Stop #1 on my tour-de-dress shops, and I was not expecting to find anything, nor did I feel as though I needed to purchase that day. As soon as my maids, mom, and I arrived at the store, we were greeted and offered water and coffee. Let me say, this is store is like a real life Pinterest board: absolutely charming with lovely decor, but not overwhelming or off-putting. I immediately felt comfortable. Karin, one of the owners, assisted me with trying on gowns. She was so knowledgeable, patient, and gracious, and at no point did I feel any pressure to purchase. (And trust me, I worked at David's Bridal and can smell a pushy bridal consultant from a mile away.) I did end up finding my gown, much to my surprise. Long story short, after the purchase, I had been second-guessing my decision because I'm paranoid like that, but Karin and Rebecca were so great about it. They let me come back in and try on the gown I purchased (as well as a couple others I had been questioning) to make sure it was THE ONE. I don't think many other stores/boutiques would've been this accommodating. Something White is THE store to visit if you're a Cleveland (or even out-of-town!) bride--especially if you're looking for simple, vintage-inspired, classic gowns. Something White was the 3rd place I went to find my bridal gown. I was a little nervous, and frankly stressed out, because my previous shopping experiences were very discouraging due to the lack of variety and unhelpful "stylists" (Why does every gown have to be strapless?!). Anyway, I did a short consultation with Karin, and picked out some gowns with my friends. I was nervous at first because the boutique was so small and I was afraid that There weren't enough dresses for me to try and maybe like. The selection was phenomenal. Every dress was different and they were categorized by style. It was really fun trying on all different styles to get a feel of what I liked and what looked good on me. Karin was great! She helped me in and out if the dresses, learned quickly about my tastes after trying on a few, and suggested a couple dresses that I really liked. I was also a little nervous about the price range since small boutiques typically carry more expensive designers. But I had no problem finding something within my budget. I would totally recommend any bride-to-be to look here. You can really tell that the owners care and like what they do. Going to a small boutique is the way to go. WOW--this is truly a special place. I stopped here first on my search for the perfect dress. Rebecca was so kind and helpful, letting my family and me grab as many dresses as we wanted from the racks to try on. She let me try on my favorites multiple times and helped me accessorize with veils, sashes, and earrings. When the appointment drew to a close she wasn't pushy in the least--she understood completely that I still had some shopping to do and made me an appointment to come back in a few days if I decided I wanted to purchase. When I returned she remembered precisely which dresses I loved and pulled them for me to try on again! Once I chose my dress, Rebecca disappeared downstairs and returned...with three glasses of champagne for my mom, my sister, and I! We went to two other large bridal stores in the Cleveland area and the service at Something White was completely beyond compare. While other places made me feel rushed and turned up their noses when it became obvious I wasn't going to make a purchase, Rebecca made me feel like I could take all the time I needed! To top it all off, the store is in a historic house and Rebecca and Karin schedule appointments for one bride at a time. It felt like I was trying on dresses in my own home! She also has a fabulous eye and knows just how to accessorize dresses with belts, sashes, veils, etc. to really complete a look. She also assists you into every dress and clips it perfectly so that you easily get a realistic feel for what a dress would look like (I found out in appointments at other stores that this is not the standard). I went to North Olmsted and found the perfect dress for me! Christy was absolutely wonderful! She made a special trip to the store to help me! I found Something White on just a google search for bridal shops in the area. Making an appointment was so easy online, and she had very pointed questions on her intake form so she knew exactly what I was looking for before my appointment, including my dream dress I found online that I went into the appointment with as the one to beat. Even with Covid, I could bring my Mom and best friend from out of town to the appointment with me. We were all in masks and washed our hands upon entering. Rebecca is the owner/operator consultant and made me feel like I was the only bride in world at that moment in time. She didn't have any other appointments during the time we were there (about 2 hours) so we got the adorable shop to ourselves. The shop itself is an old house that has been converted into business use. There were just the right amount of dresses to look through without feeling overwhelmed (less than 500 probably). After we all had the opportunity to pull dresses, we went into the dressing room and to try on. Rebecca always let me lead when asking how a dress made me feel and if I wanted to show my Mom and friend. She gave us space when I was taking a dress in or considering how I felt about it. I probably tried on about 15 dresses or so altogether. I tried on a dress where I loved the bottom and said "Yes!" to the crepe material, but was not sold on the dress completely. Rebecca was not pushy at all in helping me decide if this dress was the one, but instead offered up suggestions about what we could do to see if changing the top would help me love it. We tried on several different bodice tops over the existing top, and she had great insight into what alterations could do to make this dress one of a kind and exactly what I wanted. I ended up getting the dress with the bottom I loved off the sample rack, in addition to a bodice top that alterations will use to create my perfect dream dress! I had the BEST dress shopping experience and got to go home with a dress THAT day within my budget. Her website says dresses range from about $3-47K which is true for most of her dresses in shop, but my two sample pieces together were more like $2K because of taking them off the rack, as-is. After finding the dress of my dreams at a shop in Ann Arbor, MI, but being appalled by the service I was given, I decided to look for another shop that sold my gown. The nearest location was Something White Bridal, three hours away in another state. This dress was worth it, so I made the appointment! Rebecca and Karin are adorable! The shop is small and cute, and feels very private and comfortable. I loved that they offered us coffee, as it makes me feel more comfortable and personable to be able to enjoy myself freely (many shops strictly prohibit food and beverages, though for understandable reasons). Rebecca knew I was coming to try on one specific gown, though I told her I would still like to look at others. Even though I had shopped at a few other gown shops I was still overwhelmed looking through the racks. But no worries, Rebecca quickly had several options for me to try on after asking me about my venue and dress preferences. I did not need the options, though, as I loved my gown the moment I had it on. And that's when it really became a lot of fun. Rebecca brought glasses of champagne for myself and my guests to celebrate with and took a group picture. Karin then came in and asked what hair style and jewelry I had in mind for the big day. As soon as I told her my thoughts she was whipping my hair into an up-do and finding a necklace so that I could get the full effect! The girls were also so patient with me in trying on several sashes. I spent the majority of my time there looking at myself in the mirror. The owners were quick in taking my measurements and preparing the paperwork. I loved my experience at Something White and would recommend it to anyone in the Cleveland area. Or, to bride in southeast Michigan who cannot find their dream gown at a chain store and are willing to drive for the perfect dress. I am absolutely appalled. My friend spent an hour trying on wedding dresses and finally narrowed it down to the perfect gown. When speaking about the process, deposit, alterations, sizing etc. my friend got a little overwhelmed. I think any bride can completely relate. We walked out of the boutique because she decided she wanted to sleep on it. Literally less than a minute later she wanted to go back in and purchase her dream dress. The woman working had closed the shop and allowed us in and reopened to purchase. The woman began to explain to my friend that she had forfeited her 10% discount because she "close the appointment". We are talking $375 as a discount for a 10% discount for a 60 second moment of uncertainty. I would not recommend this place unless you are absolutely positive that you will not have a second of a doubt. read more

Be VERY careful before ordering Dessy Group bridesmaids dresses here. Our dresses arrived completely defective, but somehow were not inspected before the bridesmaids picked them up and while Karyn and Rebecca scrambled to get them fixed in time, it was a major inconvenience, left us with no time to tailor the dresses and then only offered 10% off for all the trouble. We also had to bend over backwards to prove the dresses were unwearable before they would admit the dresses were actually defective and agree to fix them. My future daughter-in-law's dress was ruined by the alterations department of another store with a month to go before the wedding. Rebecca could not have been more helpful and she sold her a new and beautiful sample dress that surpasses the original. 10/10! I will send all of my soon-to-be married friends to Something White! Their styling, professionalism, inventory and shop made for the perfect dress shopping experience! From the second we walked in the door to the second that I put on THE dress, Karin and Rebecca made my family and I feel taken care of in a way not usually found in this industry (my opinion). In my experience, dress shopping has always felt like a cattle call where they just want your money but with Something White, they felt like an extension to our family. Something White was the first shop we went to in search of my sister's wedding gown. Quite honestly, we were not planning on buying a dress that day; we had planned to look at a couple different boutiques before making a decision. However, Rebecca made the experience so fun and enjoyable! My sister was able to pick out the dresses she liked to try on, but Rebecca made some suggestions based on my sister's style and helped guide us through the entire experience. Mallory, my sister, ended up choosing ten dresses to try on, which could have gotten overwhelming had Rebecca not asked us to narrow down and "rule out" dresses as we went! Once we had narrowed it down to two, Rebecca put Mallory's hair up, gave her earrings to try on, put a veil in her hair, etc. to give Mallory an idea of what it would look like "day of". Mallory was GLOWING; you could tell she truly felt like a bride! Mallory ended up finding "the dress" at Something White and decided to cancel her future appointments at other boutiques.
