This spot has something for everyone in my family and friend group. Most of the ice cream flavors are lactose free - check, check; red bean taiyaki - check; ice cream with Asian flavors - check, check, check. The business is always clean and the service is friendly. there are no samples and you cannot get two flavors unless it is a part of their predetermined swirl. I don't know who decides, but I really don't want Thai tea with cookies and cream. Getting the fish shaped cone is a must! I say take a few taiyaki home for a crispy air fryer treat later in the day. The down side is the limited seating. Enjoy!

Always a good idea to stop over and pick up a special Korean dessert known as "Ah-Boong", a fish-shaped waffle cone filled with your choice of soft serve and toppings. They really have a good selection to choose from. I got the strawberry soft serve, fruity pebble topping, and pastry filling with custard is a must. Came here with a few people, line was short and the young guy taking order was quick. The place is located at Shanghai Plaza. Parking is limited but, you can also park on the street near by. Inside they have a tier bench to sit on, it reminds me of the bleachers we had in high school lol. On the side of the entrance, there is a long standing table to eat as well.

Clean, friendly staff, great ice cream, BTS special, playing BTS music during BTS Arirang Las Vegas tour. Night tends to be packed. We came around noon and it wasn't too busy yet. There is an entrance and parking on street behind building.

Stopped in for a late night treat after dinner and this place never disappoints. The cashier was nice and helpful when ordering. The soft serve is always spot on and the serving size is enough for 2 to share(glad I brought my boyfriend). The taiyaki is always delicious no matter what flavor you choose. There are some seating options but it is a smaller area to sit or stand. The flavors and swirls change every week and you can find that information on their instagram so always check before going if you're looking for a specific flavor. We will be back soon since I can't get enough of this place!

Gotta stop here every time we're in Vegas!! Always crowded and worth the weight every single time. How many flavors that are lactose free. Is there lots of sunny souls and this one has an amazing atmosphere. Love the staircase sitting area. Not far from the Strip. Can't help the gift but it's delicious dessert!

The best dessert in Spring Mountain, it taste amazing in the service is really good. It will be a little late in the line, but that's because it's so good but they get through the line really fast! Family and friend friendly there's a sitting area/ staircase !

The taiyaki at Somi Somi are absolutely legendary. I couldn't help myself I had to try all of them! IG: @somisomiicecream

This is my go to place when I want somthing hot fresh and not too sweet. I get mine plain sometimes The signature "Ah-Boong" (taiyaki with soft serve) is the main draw, The "upside down" option (ice cream in a cup with the fish on top) is a popular choice to avoid mess. This is what I usually get the upside down option. Sometimes I just crave the fish plain or with custard on the side no ice cream needed. They have many options on filings to choose from, such as (Nutella, custard, red bean, black sesame, cheese) and unlimited toppings fruity pebbles, Oreos crumbs are popular choices. This place gets busy so be ready to wait for your order as sometimes they are making them fresh. Give this place a try and happy eating....

This was great! Last time I was in, it took a lonnng time but this time it went really fast and there was quite a few people there so really big and good improvement. Great soft serve and the little fish are delicious! There isn't a lot of sitting room inside though and parking can be rough so just make yourself aware :) really awesome though!

The dessert is definitely for mi, but the seating is so-so. Somisomi is a chain that offers taiyaki (fish-shaped waffles) and rotating flavors of soft serve ice cream. I enjoy their Henderson location quite a bit, but upon finishing lunch in this location's plaza and noticing that there's currently a matcha/strawberry swirl on the menu, I had to stop in for that specific blend. The Soft Serve In A Cup ($4.50 now) is the straightforward way to experience the soft serve. You can get toppings too, and I went with my semi-standard matcha powder and biscoff crumbles. I definitely got both the matcha and a strawberries-and-cream experience in most of the bites, so it was worth it for that alone. The complimentary strawberry was ripe and naturally sweet too though, and it added intensity and nuance in every little nibble which I was able to take of it. The issue I have with this specific store is that they apparently deemed it unnecessary to buy chairs even well after the pandemic had resolved. The only seating is stadium style, kinda like a lower-rent version of Gabi, and it's pretty easy to spill toppings or even melting ice cream onto yourself without a counter or table. I can have my counter with a seat at the Henderson location, so why not here? Somisomi is a great option overall for dessert, but this isn't the perfect place to have some.

Service was very fast and the ice cream was great! Definitely more then I could finish, with multiple toppings added.

As busy and chaotic as the lines, friendly quick service. Good selection of toppings and fillings. The fish was slightly crunchy an warm. The strawberry ice cream reminded me of the strawberry Pocky sticks. Will have to come back and try their other flavors

Such a great first experience! The shop was so clean and spotless and the employee was very nice. The taro was delicious and we love the pins they have for sale!

It's not just decor slapped on the walls it feels curated, fun, and honestly a little immersive. They have been voted Best Custard by many newspapers and magazines around the world. I remember coming here on many hot summer nights as a kid and enjoying the yummy custard that would make you forget the heat. This is a walk up, place your order and go type of establishment. My standard order has always been the hot fudge sundae but they offer so many other options. If you want a frozen pint they have those too. Service is always quick and efficient. On our visit, there were several sketchy people in the lot and some going to the adjoining liquor store. While most of the customers were nice family looking people, a few of them were on the sketchier side too. If this were the only issue, we would go back, but there were other issues as well. However, for the positives, parking was limited, but sufficient. Business was good and there was both a line and numerous people waiting for their food. The order area is well lit at night. Most of all, the servers are very friendly, helpful, and patient. Unfortunately, the rest of the downside are the most important things. The serving cup size is good, but the ratio of custard to hot fudge/toppings was way off. Most places do not give enough fudge/chocolate sauce/toppings, but here the ratio was half and half. This MIGHT have been ok if the fudge and toppings were layered as at other places that do not skimp on toppings, but here the fudge/toppings were the top half of the cup and the custard at the bottom. This made it difficult to get the custard and to get a proper ratio of custard to topping. Kind of like rationing your meat and rice or potatoes so you have some for each bite--you could not do this with the custard and toppings here. The custard quality seemed like it might be ok, but it was hard to tell due to the ratio and serving structure. Overall, Nielson's custard has the more standard concretes with mix ins and a larger portion size than Luv-it. Freddy's frozen custard, although not as good as Nielson's was still also better than Luv-it. If Luv-it could either layer its toppings and you have concrete custard consistency, then it could be rated higher. As is, you are better off driving the distance to Nielson's or just going to Freddys. Still, if you must go to Luv-it, just be aware of your surroundings and you will still get an ok dessert.

The matcha had a rich, earthy flavor without being overly bitter, and you could tell it was made with quality ingredients. I ordered a float and loved that they let you choose the ice cream flavor. The ube ice cream was a standout--it wasn't overly sweet and had a nice starchy, creamy texture that paired well with the matcha. Another plus was the pricing. Compared to many specialty matcha shops, the drinks felt reasonably priced for the quality and portion size. Overall, a great spot for matcha lovers and anyone looking for a refreshing treat while in Vegas. I'd definitely come back and try more of the menu.

Before that time and throughout our visit here, the line got longer and longer, and eventually all the seating inside was filled up. It was already a bright day yet the inside is lit about as bright to match the daylight hues. That and also the heat outside made me and my friends come here to grab another matcha as we already had a nearby place just 10 minutes ago! For this part of our matcha run, I got their large matcha latte float with a matcha and strawberry ice cream mix, while my foodie friend got the same float as well only with ube soft serve and a medium-size instead. Matcha is strong and ceremonial with grassy tones that were slightly dulled by the sweetness of the drink; the matcha ice cream had that same ceremonial hit as the latte but the strawberry ice cream didn't pair with those earthy tones very well since it was a different kind of sweet. I also found my friend's ube ice cream the better addition to the matcha latte than my matcha-strawberry mix. I still enjoyed what I had, and the float by itself still hit well. They have a ton of other drinks and even a banana matcha latte I would give a try in another visit to this location in the future!
