    Oreo cream Nutella waffles
    Regina B.

We went to hmart for some grocery run and decided to stop bat this place to try it out. Me and my husband got the Oreo cream waffles and shared it as we had just had lunch. I guess you get an option for ice cream or cream but being it 100 something degrees outside I opted for the cream. Service was ok nothing special. The inside is nice and bright, some photo ops for sure. Paid under $10, it was good waffles had a nice crisp and sweetness to it but next time I'll do more research on what to order as we just ordered on a whim lol

I'm usually not a huge waffle person because they tend to be quite dense. My favorite type of waffle is actually a Belgian waffle because they are airy and light. Well, Waffle University does waffles but Korean style. These types of waffles were actually quite trendy in Korea a few years back. So far, my husband and I have tried their berry and whip cream waffle & their strawberry nutella waffle. My favorite is their strawberry nutella waffle! Sweet and decadent but also light and airy! The waffles aren't warm when they are served because they are crispier when they are cold. If you want a warm waffle, you can request it but it will be soft. If their waffle combinations aren't really what you're looking for, you can build your own as well. They also got a long list of drinks to choose from if you want one with your waffle! The establishment is very spacious and has plenty of tables. Service is good! The only thing is that the waffles are quite pricy since they're about $8-12 per waffle depending on the kind of combo you want. I will definitely keep coming back for dessert if I have dinner nearby!

Red bean waffle & Strawberry Dubai waffle

I've been meaning to visit Waffle University since it opened and finally made it in The interior is clean and very bright with a lot of yellow tones, which gives it a really uplifting vibe. There were quite a lot of customers when I went, so it definitely feels popular and lively I ordered the strawberry Dubai waffle since I'm a big fan of Dubai-style desserts, and my mom got the red bean cream waffle. The waffle itself was crispy and really good! But for the Dubai-style toppings, the kataifi and pistachio flavor didn't quite hit the mark compared to others I've tried. It felt more like pre-made pistachio spread and already-toasted kataifi rather than something freshly prepared, so it was a bit disappointing. The red bean waffle had a lot of cream and leaned quite sweet. Overall, it's a nice spot for the vibe and a fun visit, but the dessert itself was a little hit or miss for me.

Do you remember fro-yo days and picking out all your favorite toppings? At Waffle Univ, you have the option to pick your favorite waffle toppings and you pay by the oz, or you can pick from a preset combo of flavors. We spontaneously visited Waffle University after an H mart visit. We were intrigued by the bright yellow decor and idea of waffles as second dessert lol. Who can say no to crispy waffles? Not us! We ordered the Strawberry Nutella Ice Cream Waffle and the Banana PEA-Nutella Waffle. The ice cream waffles mean you now get to top this massive waffle with three scoops of ice cream. It was crispy, divine, and worth a visit! The inside is decorated like a school- imagine lockers, uniforms, waffle light fixtures. Such a cute theme! Can't wait to come back.

Cute decor and decent amount of seating available. We came on a Sunday afternoon to take advantage of their Happy Hour (2pm -5pm) which offered 20% off waffles and $1 Americano or tea. We got 2 build your own and 1 Berry Berry Waffle and an Americano. The waffles were really tasty and had a good outside crunch. Service was a little slow but we didn't mind waiting. Super friendly staff.

Okay pause... Waffle University is actually SO good I feel like I'm back in Korea!!! The waffles came out fresh and warm with the perfect crispy edges!! Sometimes dessert places can be way too sweet, but their desserts here were honestly really balanced and addicting. The vibe inside was also super cute and cozy -- perfect for catching up with friends or getting a late night dessert craving. There's also a little area to wear the Korean varsity jackets and take pics The staff was incredibly sweet and patient while we took forever deciding what to order LOL Portions were generous, presentation was adorable, and every bite was worth it!! MUST TRY: the biscoff coffee & strawberry cheesecake waffle! Definitely one of those places you immediately want to bring your friends back to after trying it once. Can't wait to go back and try more flavors eek

I visited Waffle University during my trip to Las Vegas! Kind staff, clean space, and so on. The waffles are incredibly delicious, and the prices are reasonable too. Honestly, I wish we had one in OC as well. I will definitely be making this a mandatory stop every single time I visit Vegas from now on. Plus, they had a photowall with props and BTS merch available this time as they're having a concert here in Vegas. Great food, great prices, and awesome vibes. Highly recommend!

My son had the Oreo Nutella Signature waffle, minus the Nutella because he's allergic. He ate it up before I could get a picture. My daughter loved the Strawberry Nutella Ice cream waffle, even though the ice cream froze the Nutella like magic shell. I liked the K-Yakgwa waffle. The Yakgwa cookie wasn't soft but wasn't overly hard. Very good but my favorite is still the K-Red Bean waffle with or without ice cream. The menu can be different than what you see online so be prepared for choosing another option.

Waffle University is a cute and vibrant spot that immediately gives off a preppy, bubbly academy vibe. It almost feels like stepping into a K-drama campus cafe scene. Their branding leans heavily into bright yellows mixed with blue and white, which makes the place stand out right away compared to cafes that usually stick to muted tones. Since waffles are clearly their specialty, we went with the berry waffle. The waffle itself had a good texture and was not stale or overly hard. The combination of fresh berries with ice cream worked nicely and made it feel like a simple but satisfying dessert. They also allow you to build your own waffle if you want to customize toppings. Pricing was pretty reasonable too, which is refreshing considering how expensive desserts and cafes can get lately. The interior was clean and well kept. It is located in the same plaza as H Mart, but because the shop sits a bit farther across the lot, parking was actually easier than expected even with the usual plaza traffic. We stopped by during their soft opening, and even toward the last hour it was still pretty relaxed and not crowded. One small thing that could be fun in the future would be selling some school themed merch to match the concept. Things like varsity jackets or uniform inspired pieces would fit the whole "university" aesthetic really well. Overall it is a cheerful dessert spot that feels playful and approachable, especially if you are already in the area visiting H Mart and want something sweet afterward.

It costed me about $8 for the waffle and drink and tips. The waffle is crispy , the cream and strawberry were not that sweet sooo it's not overwhelming. Will try their other waffle but for the Nutella strawberries it's a good balance

I genuinely feel some sympathy for the owner, as the restaurant appears to be struggling to find its footing. The service was adequate but unremarkable. Unfortunately, the waffles themselves were disappointing, with flavors that fell below expectations and did not leave a strong impression. While the decor is acceptable, the layout feels inefficient, with an excessive number of tables and seats that make the space feel sparse and less inviting than it could be. Overall, the experience raised questions about the restaurant's current direction. With improvements to the food quality and a more thoughtful use of the space, it could better differentiate itself and create a more compelling dining experience.

I'm so glad that I finally got to try this place before our grocery shopping trip at HMart. My husband and I shared the Banana Peanut Nutella waffle with strawberry ice cream and it was delicious. I was worried that it would be too sweet but the different ingredients complemented each other. Waffle was the perfect balance of crispy and chewy. Service was good but a little slow since there was only one staff member at the time. I can't wait to go back and try the other flavors.

This place was bright and decorated really cute . Decent size waffles and they fill them up. The waffle wasn't very crispy and seemed soggy . But they had very clean bathrooms with heated toilet seats . It was fun to try once but nothing really stood out to me .

This was a five-star experience. I came here with a friend who had apparently been following this place on social media for a while, and my first question was basically, "Why have you never told me about this place?" Because if I had known about it sooner, I probably would have been coming here already. The restaurant itself immediately won me over. It is small, quirky, colorful, intimate, and has that feeling of walking into somebody's neighborhood spot rather than another cookie-cutter restaurant. Everything was incredibly clean. The dining room was well kept, the restroom was spotless, and because the kitchen is partially visible, I happened to get a look while walking by. Same story back there: clean, organized, and clearly cared for. Then there was Robert. I seriously wish more servers approached hospitality the way this man does. His personality, menu knowledge, energy, timing, and ability to move throughout the restaurant were outstanding. He could be talking to another table, explaining a special, and still somehow know exactly what was happening at ours. Nothing about him felt rehearsed or transactional. It felt like he genuinely enjoyed taking care of people. My friend and I shared the Not Yo Mama's Grilled Cheese with cheddar, brisket, bacon jam, grilled tomato, sautéed kale, and chipotle ranch. Listen. This sandwich disappeared. The bread was beautifully toasted without being greasy, the brisket had substance, the bacon jam brought sweetness, and the kale, tomato, cheddar, and chipotle ranch somehow kept everything balanced. There was a lot happening in that sandwich, but nothing fought for attention. It just worked. Then came the Ube Horchata made with ube-flavored coconut milk, almond milk, rice milk, and ube whipped cream. I added an espresso shot. Whoever decided ube, horchata, and espresso needed to become friends deserves a conversation. Creamy, slightly nutty, lightly sweet, with the espresso cutting through everything perfectly. That will probably become my regular drink whenever I come back. Now, the Crab Omelette special. This came with blue crab, mozzarella, sautéed spinach, cherry heirloom tomatoes, three eggs, hash browns, and honey mustard on the side. The eggs were incredibly fluffy, and there was a generous amount of crab throughout it. But the honey mustard had me confused. Honey mustard with a crab omelette? Why? Then I tried it. Everything made sense. I am telling you, the combination stopped tasting like an omelette and started tasting like a crab cake. The crab, fluffy egg, cheese, vegetables, and honey mustard somehow turned into this sweet, tangy, slightly acidic combination that reminded me of a crab cake with remoulade. I kept going back to it thinking, "There is no way this should work this well." It did. The hash browns were fine, they just happened to be sitting next to an omelette that completely stole the show. Then Robert casually came by and asked if we wanted to sample their bacon butter. Absolutely. I spread it across the toast, took a bite, and immediately thought, "What is happening in this kitchen?" Creamy, savory, smoky, and loaded with bacon flavor. I would come back for the bacon butter alone. That actually brings me to what impressed me most about this place: you can taste when somebody cares. Restaurants love phrases like "made with love" or "cooked from the heart," but most of the time that is marketing. Here, I actually tasted it. The sandwich tasted intentional. The omelette tasted intentional. The Ube Horchata tasted intentional. Even something as simple as butter had personality. I also paid attention to the staff. They were busy, but nobody looked miserable or irritated to be there. People were communicating, moving with purpose, and still creating a warm atmosphere. That energy transfers into the dining room whether restaurants realize it or not. Between the kitchen and Robert taking care of us, this felt less like going somewhere for breakfast and more like somebody invited us over and decided they were going to feed us properly. That is rare. Robert, thank you for taking such great care of us. Your knowledge, personality, hospitality, and ability to make two first-time customers feel like regulars absolutely mattered. And whoever was cooking that day, chef's kiss. I live on the other side of town and I do not care. I will make the drive. If you have been thinking about trying this place, go. Food is subjective, but I will happily stake my reputation on this one. Five stars, earned.

Orange juice was a good size for the price, and the side of grits was a hefty portion, I was super excited for that. The french toast had cream and fresh berries on top. The french toast was soaked and griddled to perfection, thick bread that takes on the moisture very well. And the berries kick it up a notch! We were offered bottled water while we waited, (Vegas was 108 degrees). The waitresses were very sweet. Very knowledgeable as well. Their recommendations were on point cus the food was truly amazing! If you go, it's not called gritz cafe for no reason! Get the grits! I added crushed sausage and cheese to mine and man oh man!! That took it from a 10 to a 20! So good! I ordered the chicken and waffles and it came with a side of gritz. The chicken was perfectly fried. Crispy on the outside. Juicy and flavorful on the inside. Once the hot sauce was added it was even better! The waffle itself was also amazing. Now i love me a Waffle House and i swear by their waffles, but these got them beat by 100000! I ordered a plain waffle, my brother got the yams waffle. (Yams in the batter.) OMG!! That was beyond delicious! My sister got the peach cobbler waffle which might've slightly been a bit better than the sweet potato, and i got the regular waffle which was still a good 10/10! They serve it with hot syrup. (Careful cuz it comes in a metal container that's also hot). They melted butter into the waffle before it comes to your table. It was everything!! I definitely would've came back if i didn't have other reservations. The ambiance was super cute. They don't sell alcohol, so we ordered lemonades and sweet teas. They had a nice pandora playlist playing in the background and by the time we left, there was a line out the door. They close at 2pm so get there early if you can to beat the rush, but this is a highly recommended 10/10!! If and when i come back to Vegas I'm coming back. Maybe 2x lol. See pics below

It's a small café, but the wait goes by quickly because the atmosphere is welcoming and people are enjoying good conversation while they dine. This visit, I tried the sweet potato waffle with greens and catfish--delicious! My husband ordered the grits and pork chops, and they were absolutely banging. My sisters had the chicken wings with shrimp and grits, and they loved their meals too. The pecan waffle was an added bonus and definitely worth trying. This is a must-visit spot if you're looking for great food and friendly service!
