I had investigated this as a resource doing pre-planning so that I could pay for it on my credit card weeks before the event. I live 70 miles away and, in a blizzard, if my sister lost electric, I would not be able to help her. I hired a friend to take her to the hotel I had paid for and she was turned away on a technicality. I pleaded for a reasonable accommodation for the handicapped based on the fact that I would pay for any incidentals with my card. SHE WAS TURNED AWAY! I complained to the sales staff and asked for compensation which was denied. I asked to speak with the manager. I left a message and six days later the call has still not been returned! I will only due business with a chain that takes better care of those with disabilities.

Two room suite with two queen beds, well-lit and spacious bathroom, walk-in shower, kitchen area, and living area. Living room has an awesome rolling desk for catching up on emails. I come here often for conventions and have never been disappointed with the experience. I only have one complaint, I drive a low car and the speed mountains in the parking lot are excessive.

I had 3 reservations for a 4 night stay as follows:…read more Thursday night May 21, 2026 Friday and Saturday nights, May 22 and May 23, 2026 (These two nights were at a wedding discount price for my son's wedding) Sunday night, May 24, 2026 Where do I begin with the grief of this 4-night stay? Let me start with the major issue, the window blind. No Window Blind It was only when I got into the hotel room that I found out there were no window blinds to cover the window. (The blind was sitting in the corner of the room. See image) I was not informed of this at the front desk when I checked in. I tried to call the front desk, but no one answered. So, I went downstairs and then the woman at the front desk informed me that some rooms had an issue with the window blinds. It was Memorial Day weekend. The hotel was filled; they were accommodating guests from 3 different weddings, so there wasn't another room to switch to. Fortunately, I had some safety pins with me and the woman at the front desk came to help me pin the slim side curtain closed so I had some privacy and to block out the outside lights as much as possible. (See image) I found out during my stay that: The blinds are lowered and raised by a motor to make it handicapped accessible. The hotel had previously experienced a blackout that burned out the motor. When I checked in, the hotel was waiting for a new motor to replace the damaged one When I checked out on my last day, I was informed that the company that made the motor is out of business; the inoperable motorized blinds affected 3 rooms. Okay, there were things about the 'out of commission' blind that were out of the hotel's control. But all the same, I was inconvenienced, so I asked for a discount to compensate me for not having a window blind. I was told I already had a wedding discount price. Excuse me, but that wedding discount was for only 2 of the 4 nights I stayed, and the cost of my entire stay included working a window blind. Really, Hotel Warner, do better. But there's more . . . Room entry cards As previously mentioned, I had 3 reservations for my 4-night stay. Even though I was in the same hotel room for my entire stay, I was told I must come to the front desk to check out and check in for each reservation. The woman at the front desk couldn't explain why. The next day I found out from another front desk staff member that for each new reservation, they had to issue new room entry cards. Okay, that makes sense. But why couldn't that be explained to me when I first checked in. When I checked in, I let the front desk know my brother would be coming in for the wedding and he would be staying in my room. I gave them his name and the date and time he would be arriving. I asked the front desk to make him a room entry card because when he arrives, I would be elsewhere getting my hair and makeup done for the wedding. Even the next day when I got my second set of room entry cards for the second reservation, the front desk confirmed with me that his name was in the system for my room. And yet . . . in the middle of getting ready for the wedding, I get a call from my brother saying they won't give him a room entry card unless I give them my permission. He handed his phone to the front desk staff, and I said it was okay for my brother to have a room entry card. However . . . instead of making a duplicate card of the cards I had with me, they made my brother a replacement card, which deactivated the room entry cards I was holding. Thank goodness we returned to the hotel room at the same time. ~Sigh~ Hotel Warner, do better Information sheet When I checked in, I was told of the hours of the breakfast. I knew I was going to remember the times, and I asked if they had that information printed out to hand guests, but the hotel did not. However . . . the hotel did have a sheet of area restaurants that would give a discount to the hotel guests. (See image) So it begs the question, if the hotel prints up a list of the area restaurants, why can't it have on the back side of that sheet the times of breakfast and the other amenities that were posted in the elevators. (See image) In addition . . . that information sheet could include the location of the breakfast (i.e. on the 1 floor, not the ground floor) and the locations of the ice machines. Both of these I found out from fellow guests or called the front desk (which did answer that time). Also, printed sheets handed out at the front desk or left in rooms can be updated more easily than the sign in the elevators. For instance, I was told that the sign in the elevation that says 'Day passes available to the YMCA' was no longer accurate. Speaking of information . . . The hotel didn't advertise that they provided free Wi-Fi in the room, the front desk or anywhere else in the hotel. I found out when I was checking out that the password to the WiFi is taped in the envelope that contains the room entry cards

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my stay and the treatment my family and I…read morereceived during check-in and throughout the evening of August 28. I am an Asian guest, and during my interactions with the front desk, I felt unwelcome and treated differently from other guests. I observed staff greeting other guests with smiles and offering umbrellas, while my interactions felt rushed and impersonal. At check-in, before I had the opportunity to ask about breakfast options, the front desk agent immediately informed me that I would need to pay for breakfast. As a Marriott Titanium elite member, I was offered 500 bonus points as my welcome gift, but the agent did not explain the available food and beverage credit or other welcome benefits until I specifically asked. The entire check-in process felt hurried, including the directions to the elevators, and I did not feel like a valued guest. After entering our room, my children and I were excited to begin our stay. While moving the chairs slightly to sit at the table, we accidentally dropped a water bottle on the floor. Within approximately 15 seconds of entering the room, I received a phone call reporting a noise complaint. My younger child became very upset and cried for about 10 minutes. To help calm the situation, I took both children outside to the car to retrieve additional belongings. When I returned to the room, I was preparing to take a shower when another staff member informed me there had been another noise complaint. Shortly afterward, the same front desk employee knocked on my door very loudly and continuously for more than 10 seconds. I opened the door and calmly explained the situation. Despite this, I was warned that if there were another complaint, my family would be required to leave the hotel. At that time, there was no noise coming from our room while the staff member was standing outside. I do not believe there was any effort to investigate whether the complaints were accurate before threatening to evict my family. I even suggested moving to another room if it would resolve the situation. Initially, I was told the hotel was overbooked. However, I was able to see multiple rooms still available for booking online, including both two-bed rooms and king rooms. The explanation then changed, and I was told that the guest making the complaint did not want to move instead. As a result of these repeated warnings, my children became anxious for the rest of the evening. They were afraid that even accidentally dropping a phone or making normal family noises would result in us being removed from the hotel. This created an extremely stressful environment rather than the comfortable stay we expected. During our conversation, the front desk employee repeatedly stated that it was "company policy" to require guests to leave after three noise complaints, mentioning this policy several times. However, I do not believe the hotel made any reasonable effort to verify whether we were actually creating excessive noise before issuing these warnings. When I requested the employee's name and business card, she initially refused to provide them. I was only able to obtain a business card after requesting assistance from another staff member. Overall, I found the service to be unprofessional, discourteous, and lacking empathy. Most concerning, I left with the impression that my family was not treated with the same level of respect and hospitality that I observed being extended to other guests. Whether intentional or not, the experience made us feel unwelcome. I respectfully request that hotel management investigate this incident, review any available records or security footage, and address how this situation was handled. I also hope the hotel will reinforce the importance of treating every guest with professionalism, respect, and consistency regardless of their background. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel unless meaningful improvements are made to its customer service and guest relations.

And very reasonably priced at $13.95. The room was very quiet - even though there is a NJTrantsit rail line very nearby. I never noticed the trains from inside the hotel. But what was really great was the two swimming pools! Inside is a quite shallow, very very warm pool. Outside is a much bigger pool that goes from 4 feet to 8.5 feet deep! I did witness a member of the staff cleaning the pool, so that was a good sign. Cons: The elevator (one of the two was out of service) was a bit wonky, so we had to wait longer than seemed normal a few times. The hotel is wedged between two enormous strip malls and is down the road from 30 others. Not particularly scenic or pleasant, but it's fine to sleep there.

Not many hotels met #2 and #3, but this one did. Breakfast is NOT free-it's $17.99 buffet style and kids eat free. Was it worth it for just me, no, but the price was fair to feed 3 of us. The pool was small but very warm on day 1. Day 2 had more people and it was colder. There is an outdoor pool too but this was a winter visit. The room was smaller than I expected but two queen beds still, a TV, and a small fridge. The bathroom had a Bluetooth in the mirror which my kids both loved. It was clean. Shoutout to housekeeping who stocked extra towels each day without asking. The only negative was our room faced a train track and I heard trains up until 11:30pm. Could have been later but I didn't hear because I was so exhausted from the day. My kids have requested a return trip and I'd be happy to stay here again.

The AC is great and allows you to set it to 60 degrees. Shower pressure is a little weak, but the water gets HOT and the bathroom fan actually works to help remove the warm air. The shower toiletries are heavily scented. The window shade exposes around an inch of window on the sides, so it's not ideal if your room faces the parking lot since it lets light in from the parking lot. The attached photo of the window shade was taken at night. The included breakfast was standard. There were coffee, meats, eggs, potatoes, yogurt, fruit, cereal, and some bread. The breakfast and seating area were clean and spacious. Breakfast is served Monday-Friday 6:30am-9:30am, and Saturday/Sunday 7:00am-10:00am. There are ice machines on the second and fourth floor, and on the main floor there is a water bottle refill machine. There are bikes that you can borrow as well. There is a small bar, and a small convenience corner where you can purchase travel essentials along with beverages and snacks.

The hotel is immaculately clean, and was a haven after our cross country flight on both occasions. We were greeted warmly and asked if anything was needed, though we had our door codes conveniently delivered so the entry was smooth. Our rooms were impeccably clean, and the beds very comfortable. The lobby is beautifully decorated with an impressive stone fireplace and the coffee table included fresh cut flowers (lilies in January - exuding a lovely scent that added to the warmth of the fire itself). The breakfast room was equally lovely and cheery, and a thoughtful array of pastries, cereals, fruit, waffles, yogurt, bagels, coffee, teas, juice and more were available. The proprietor and staff were wonderful. The Brandywine River Hotel is conveniently on the way to see family, but even if it were not I would go out of my way to stay there. It's a true gem.
