We stopped by this Black-owned wine bar on Austin Street and grabbed a table on the left side near the door. Right away the vibe felt right. The space was cozy but lively, and the DJ was absolutely on point. The music was so good that what started as "just one dance" quickly turned into a full line-dancing situation for most of the night. We started with a cheese board, which paired perfectly with the bottle of wine we ordered (something with "Poppy" in the name -- and trust me, it was really good). Now here's where the night took an unexpected but memorable turn. I danced so long that I completely missed the kitchen closing at 10 PM. By about 10:30 the dancing had caught up with me and I realized I was starving. I asked if there was any chance I could still order something, fully expecting the answer to be no. Instead, the owner and bartender went above and beyond. They actually went back to the kitchen and made it happen.
