Sadly, they are no longer selling bird seed. They still sell some lovely orchids, though.

We asked if the water filtration system was for all tanks. Yes, but there is double filtration system so the ones we bought should be ok. We bought Ick treatment stuff just in case. So far, so good.

I went into the petco on Lake ave in Colorado Springs a couple days ago and I am disgusted with the…read moreservice I received. I sat there staring at the fish chemicals for a good 20 minutes trying to figure out what I needed. there was an older woman that appeared to be a manager stocking.i was going to pay for a full test kit when she finally asked if I needed help. I didn't think I did but I really did lol. Any way I explained to her that I had a 10 gal tank at home that I started because I was growing lotus, needless to say a couple lotus turned into about 4 other type of water plants, so now I thought well shoot I may as well add a few fish. I was looking at getting a betta or two but I did not know what chemicals I would need. According to the place I got my plants all I needed for them was food and iron at some point. Therefore I had questions about having fish chemical. This lady walked me over to the betta section and just said these are all the same and here's what they have and walked away. I sat there trying to figure out what I needed for another 20-30 minutes and looking at the betta fish to figure out which I wanted. I had asked her what other fish I could put with a betta and she snickered at me. Now I have not had a fish tank in over 20 years so I was overwhelmed try to get the right chemicals and fish. Needless to say she had vanished after showing me the shelf of chemicals. I stood there watching the fish and looking at the products for now over an hour. I asked for assistance a few times from the cashier yet no one ever showed up. this lady was so unprofessional by never really helping. I went to petsmart today and asked the same question to another person and I was provided so much info. I was able to get my hands on bacteria and a PH kit that they need. She took the time I needed to help me keep a good tank . PetSmart staff is way more helpful and pleasant than petco.

We just moved to Manitou, after the sale of our home on the east side of Colorado Springs…read more Initially our 3 babies (Dad,Mom,Daughter) groomer is on the n/e side of town, but wanted to try a new business closer to our new residence. Immediate customer courtesy from the groomer would have sufficed, but guess, I didn't fit his demographic. 3 dogs arrived for a winter cut. 2 (Malshi) were given petsmart cuts(poor work ethic). There was some matting, but not on their heads or face. So unrecognizable, TERRIBLE(sad)! 3rd (Shi-chi) not bad, he could have spent 5 more minute's with CHUY, and I would have been impressed. 1st time/Last time as service and professionalism was lacking. Wife was not impressed or content with the end result, these are her babies and she has made a point, as to not revisit!

I've taken my dogs here a few times to be groomed however after this last time I will never be…read morereturning here again! I don't recommend this grooming salon to anyone! My Peekapoo Brielle was badly injured. They cut her so bad I had to take her to the vet for stitches. The groomer did text me to tell me what happened and sent pictures, and it didn't look as bad as it actually was. When I got her home and was able to inspect it more clearly I was horrified. 1st thing they did was tell me my dog was matted. Well my dog wasn't - she has curly hair and I have a picture of her before I took her in (smart thing to do before any grooming appointment) which I provided. I also provided them a copy of her vet bill $549.00. Their response in short and to sum it up was : I signed a matting consent form, curly hair is hard to work through and gets tangled tightly close to the skin. When you 1st take your dogs here you have to sign a matting consent form which I did having no thought this would happen. That part is on me and I take responsibility for it. Lesson learned- if you're asked to sign a consent of this type this signals to me multiple injuries or issues have occurred. I was told "We do employ only experienced groomers and our groomers work with extreme care and caution, which is why our injury rate is so low compared to other salons." Anyhow My response was: I  didn't think they understood the extent of the injury. I could understand if it was a little scrape, a little cut or nip but this was well beyond that, so much so she needed stitches. This was not just a nip, this was a deep wound and located on the underbelly in the crease of her back leg where there isn't a lot of fur. Moving on to the professional experience- It was my understanding that Republic of Paws had knowledgeable and experienced groomers. An experienced and knowledge groomer should know how to work with all types of fur just like a hair stylist. More importantly to know when to switch from clippers to scissors. If the groomer questioned an area while grooming Brielle that she thought she couldn't remove fur with the clippers safety, she should have had enough knowledge and experience to know that you stop using clippers and switch to scissors while keeping a protective layer between the dog and the instrument. I used to groom my dogs myself however with my travel schedule becoming busier it was easier just to take them to the groomers. When I groomed them I always had a comb in between the clippers (and scissors) and my dog's body to prevent any injuries or uncomfortableness. That just seems like common sense. Now it's back to me grooming them again and it's my pleasure as their health and safety is my number priority. They didn't cover the vet bill however they did refund my money for the grooming appointment. Bottom line, there is NO EXCUSE for the injury Brielle sustained and I will never come here again.
