Dr. Annie and the entire staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Dr. Annie checked in with me throughout the entire process, which made a huge difference. The extractions were surprisingly fast! Each one took less than 5 minutes. The pain was completely manageable! Nothing like the horror stories I'd been told. The recovery was also very smooth with zero complications, and I've already scheduled a follow up to have the wisdom teeth on the other side done. I went back today for my follow up checkup and cleaning. I know my teeth were in rough shape after so many years. I can only imagine what she was dealing with. But all she said was, "Looks like you haven't been in for a cleaning in a while." That's it. No lecture, no judgment, just kindness. I really appreciated that more than I can say. For years, scary stories kept me away from the dentist, and that was a mistake. If I'd known how easy and welcoming it would be, I would have come here long ago.

I have been going back ever since, for twice-yearly cleanings, annual x-rays, & crown repair and filling-replacement, as needed. At the appointments, Dr. Takeuchi explains in advance the steps of the procedure and their expected duration, and then completes the job exactly as projected. He is very professional, efficient and extremely hard-working. I marvel at his ability to handle so many patients and with such detailed care. Dr. Takeuchi's staff is friendly and cheerful, always on top of things, and send out timely text reminders in advance of appointments. Just this morning, Dr. Takeuchi repaired an old filling and filled a small cavity (oops, more brushing, flossing and Water-Piking needed!). I walked out of the office thinking, wow, that was not so bad, really; in and out in half an hour. Very impressive. Better write a yelp review, before it fades from memory!

Called again, went back and forth with the accounting manager, I offered to send a screenshot proving no call had ever been made to me. Total indifference and saying they had records a call was made. I have Guardian dental insurance, and my initial exam was quoted at a little over $100, which surprised me. Thankfully, I wasn't charged for the cleaning, and they were transparent about not repeating X-rays since I had recently taken them at another office. I appreciated that honesty. They recommended a saliva test, which was around $160 and not covered by insurance. It was presented as something I needed, which made me feel pressured, especially since I was already concerned about costs. I knew going in that I likely needed an extraction for tooth #9 and a temporary solution until I could afford a bridge. I asked about a stay plate because I didn't feel comfortable with the idea of removing an appliance in public while eating. Instead, they recommended an Essix retainer with a pontic tooth. It was more expensive than I expected and didn't address my concerns about my front tooth gap. I didn't feel like my personal preferences were fully considered. I was also told I wouldn't qualify for a bridge and would need an implant, which is significantly more expensive. The oral surgeon consultation alone was quoted at around $250, which felt high just for an exam and discussion. Before I realized it, I had spent around $600, even with insurance. When I returned to pick up my retainer, they reviewed my saliva test results and recommended supplements and additional treatments that would total around $2,000. At that point, I felt financially overwhelmed. I do need fillings and a deep cleaning, but the overall treatment plan felt out of reach for my budget. I do believe the staff has good intentions and provides quality care. However, this office seems better suited for patients with a higher budget or more comprehensive coverage. Between the costs, commute, and office hours conflicting with my work schedule, I decided to find a dentist who could work better with me financially. I wish them and future patients the best, but I ultimately chose to continue my treatment elsewhere. I've since had my extraction completed and am moving forward with a bridge option through a more affordable provider.

I had some really horrible scammy dental experiences right before starting care with her, and she helped me sort out the mess the last dentist had left of mine of my teeth (they lost my crown impression somehow after months of telling me my permanent crown was on the way). She also told me my previous dentist told me I had more cavities than I actually did, saving me money and unnecessary pain. As someone with pretty bad dental anxiety, she is the best dentist you can go to. She even let me (a fully grown woman) bring a stuffed animal into the office to help. She even pet the stuffed dog and asked his name You will not find better compassion and quality of care anywhere else.
