The customer service was poor, the employees had a negative attitude, and my mobile order was missing 3-4 items. First off, the woman on the speaker sounded rude. The guy that took over after rushed us to come to the window without us knowing what we EVEN WANTED. It would've been nice to look at a damn menu before having to drive up. I don't understand what the rush is when there WAS NO ONE ELSE IN THE DRIVE THRU BUT US. Incredibly unprofessional. Just shut this location down if you can't hire people who actually want to work. Where's my god damn chicken?! Is that a damn nugget?! I paid $30 for a mess. I made my order on the app. My item was made incorrectly. I went back and asked for it to be remade. The customer service was just okay.

So anyways, I make my order and it takes them close to 10 mins to get me my change back to me and another 7 to get me my food... this place is a joke they talk and play around to much behind the counter,. Using the app is always convenient unless it's Sonic. If there ever is an issue the stars always says," We can't help, we have no control over the app." This afternoon, I accidentally placed my order to the Merced location. I brought it up to the manger thinking they would honor the order that was already paid for and they said my options were 1. Go pick it up in Merced. 2. Reorder at this location and pay again. On top of that the only way to cancel my order is to call the Merced location that has not picked up after MULTIPLE attempts at calling. I have accidentally placed an order at a different location with other companies like Starbucks and the correct location always honors the order with proof of purchase. I just think this is poor customer service and is very disappointing with this company. read more

Horrible! Would give 0 stars if possible! Used the mobile app to pre-order and speed up the wait time... didn't work. App said to be there by 3:27, got there at 3:25. Still waited until 3:40pm for my order (3 ice cream blasts). When she finally came out with my order she went to the wrong stall, and I had to waive her down and tell her I'm pretty sure that my order... then she didn't think to bring a drink carrier so when she handed me my first drink, I asked for one since I had 3 drinks..... except the lid wasn't on all the way so it got ALL OVER MY CAR!!! I had to go straight to a car wash to use their vacuums to try to pick everything up before the chocolate melted onto my center console and passenger seat!! By the time I got home, the Ice Cream blasts were melted. I love this location! The employees are so wonderful! I am always met with friendliness and fun conversation. I love getting a huuuge soda from here. It brightens up my day. Sonic has the best fountain drinks. The soda is always crisp and never flat. I love the fun flavors. I've gotten food a couple times before and it was always really hot and fresh. Try the app! I am assuming it was used as one too and thrown against the floor before making it into the bag. She said ok walked back with the two drinks and 10 min later walked back out and said we refunded your money of 4.29. For the large shake. We need to charge you 7.29 for a large shake. I asked why she said that's how much it cost I said no I already paid for a large shake I don't want a route 44 shake which was the price. She requested. She said o you wanted a large I said yes for the second time. Then she looked at me like I was confused one. Asked for the lime aid that I already paid for and she said you still want that. This is probably one of the better fast food places in the area, although they carry many common fast food items like hamburgers, chicken sandwiches and fries, they are one of the only places around that sells tater tots and foot long chili dogs. The drink and dessert menu are also both on point here, they have their own version of a blizzard or McFlurry that can can be made with a wide variety of candies and sweet stuff. They also have many custom options that can be made with their sodas, I don't know of anywhere else that I can get a chocolate cherry Dr. Pepper or a vanilla grape Sprite. read more

Went here after a bowling tourny that was up the road. Pulled into a very clean parking spot and pu in our order to a very friendly taker. A little hard to do so due to the music played in their speakers...very loud. My daughter ordered the popcorn chicken combo with tots and I got the chili dog combo with tots as well. Normally, I order a grilled chicken sanwiches but thought I would try something else. A very short time later our server came out with a perfect order and was apologizing for the length of time we waited..truth be told, I didn't think it took all that long! Fodd was good and hot but in the future I think I will stick with the grilled chicken sand. I think you get a little better quality food. Started coming here this past month 4 times and the wait times were long, i did see a sign that they are hiring so maybe they are short handed and the reason why for long wait times. I dont know who manages or owns this location but this sonic looks ghetto and in badly need of landscaping!, bushes are long and jn need of trimming badly, on one side you got the last parking spot occupied with leaves and cut up twigs. Also the building is in need of touch ups on the stucco and there are weeds growing by the exit door and by the menu speaker, the speaker sucks and needs to be fixed or replaced badly. when i pulled up i honestly thought this sonic was closed down because it just looks unkept. I live in oakdale but work in atwater so i think i will just skip this location after reading the bad reviews here and start going to the one in turlock on my drive home from work. read more

Pretty cheap, good deals, and friendly service overall. This being my first drive-in/Sonic experience, I was only a bit disappointed that the car hops don't come out with your food on roller-skates (where did I hear that before?!). Oh well, still a pretty fun experience regardless! My one gripe is that the menu is so high up, it's like the spaces are all built for SUVs and trucks, not small sedans. The driver has to crane his neck to see the menu, while the rest of us in the car have a heck of a time even seeing the menu at all. I don't really see what the difference is between going thru a drive-thru and parking in the parking lot afterwards, but maybe it's just the novelty of the experience, and less gas consumed. ;) I got the grilled chicken wrap with tater tots and a lime cream slushie, all for just a few pennies over $6.
