I was very satisfied in the amount of ice cream he gave me in my order. On my 2nd visit, I ordered the same items from the first visit, 2 scoops of chocolate chip in a cup and 2 scoops of pistachio almond in a waffle cone. I watched her as she got the scoops of chocolate chip and they were small and it showed in the cup she handed me. The waffle cone was filled as it should be. I asked if she could add more ice cream as that was not 2 full scoops (at 6.49 for 2 scoops, I would expect it to look like the waffle cone scoops, but it didn't). She told me that I would have to pay more for more ice cream. So I asked if she could put the chocolate chip scoops from the cup into a waffle cone. She did, and there you could really see the difference...she just shrugged her shoulders and told me they were the same size scoops. I paid $14.47 for 1 1/2 scoops of ice cream and 2 waffle cones. Got on the BR website and reported what had transpired. My last visit yesterday (I decided to give them another chance), my order looked the same as the 2nd visit. I won't be going back again and I will give them a bad review whenever I can.....

I went to Fosters Freeze in Atwater yesterday with a friend. I haven't eaten Fosters since I lived in San Francisco. Lets just say the burgers were pretty good, but greasy as I remember them. I mean cmon, you just gotta eat a greasy burger sometimes, and this was the place to go, as it was right down the street from my house. I think the best was the strawberry milkshake. My friend had a malted milkshake which she really thought was excellent. I had to sit outside, and it was super hot. I wish I could have sat inside with air conditioning, but it just wasn't possible. The fries were okay, but I prefer golden arches or in and out. If you want a quick burger and don't want to drive all the way to Merced in and out, then go to fosters. Still good in my book. read more

Super slow service very rude unhappy people working there. I worked fast food when I was younger, I was always happy and up beat. I love the french fries so I go back bite my tongue and smile. We waited for 36 minutes for 2 burgers and 1 bag of fries. Ridiculous, there isn't many places like this anymore so if they don't get it together they will be gone doon. I have never had a problem with this place before until now. The burger was over cooked and chewy, fries greasy and soggy and corn dog was burnt. I uploaded and added pictures. The only thing I have to say is there new employees are RUDE, LAZY AND REALLY DRIVING THIS PLACE DOWN!!! Whenever we go to Atwater we always have to stop by here! My good friend lives in out water and we loved coming out and visiting her! Me and my husband always get a large banana split share! It was hard to tell considering the fact that there was more cheese than hot dog. By the time we found out, it was already too late. Flavor of the corn dogs were good. Condiments to add were all self serve which I'm sure no one really knew about unless asked. There were no signs in the front. It would be great if honey mustard was added to the list. That's what is usually added on when buying else where. Service was great. Employees were welcoming and greeted you upon ordering. There was one rude employee that shouted at a family with kids requesting them to keep clear of order pick up area.
