So I usually come here every few weeks. I came today to pick up a DoorDash order, since a majority of the stalls have been taken out, it puts a major wait time when all the stalls are being used. As a doordasher, I can't go up to the drive thru, OR the lobby. There's was a Native American woman working. Tall and skinny, with braids and glasses. Time was 1:25pm, she approached me very rude and hollered that she'd get the order out to me. She never came out. She just ignored me. Of course I returned the attitude. But why take your frustration and anger out on another person trying to work? SMH read more

Highly disappointed definitely won't be going back after our order was messed up twice??? The service was very poor, not to mention the employees terrible customer service and lack of training. When we ordered our food the girl on the pull up speaker continually messed up our order which resulted in us repeating ourselves multiple times. After 5 minutes she finally repeated our order back correctly but still messed up our order???? We waited for about a good 15 minutes and she brings out our food and everything was cold.. Both of our meals were not made correctly. I called the store as we were going back home and spoke with the manger to get our food refunded.. We go in today to pick up our order that was not made right and again everything was not made correctly??? We didn't even get our full order refunded to us. I accidentally didn't order tator tots and was given fries. I asked for it to be changed and she said she'd have to charge me. So there's zero knowledge of customer service. Very slow service (at the drive through) pretty sure employee handing us our stuff was high. Had the receipt pinched in her hand with her thumb over the change and when we grabbed the receipt the change dropped to the ground. We laughed and said oh well and we got a dirty look and a "okay." Going to sonic always seems like a good idea. Until you get there and 45 minutes later you realize that you should have just eaten at home. The picture attached is supposed to be chili cheese tots. They neglected to give us any utensils or napkins, thankfully I had napkins because they never answered our call when we pushed the button for additional service. This experience was mediocre at best. I have tried to think of something positive, and the strawberry shake wasn't terrible. It was way too thick and I never received any straws or spoons, so I had to wait to eat it. I won't be coming back. read more

We will start off with... Most of the employees were nice and polite. So there is 1 star for that. We did witness a Manager yelling at the employees in a very unprofessional mannor. The food took over 45 minutes and we were in the drive-thru so that was a problem . The people behind us just turned around a left. Not just one car but several cars turned around and went somewhere else. The wait time was way to long for a drive-thru business. We sat patiently, waiting for our food at the main window to come out. That is when we saw the manager yelling at the employees. They did give us our drinks while we waited. The food was ok not good, not great, but just ok. This place needs a lot of work. We recommend serious action should be taken or the business will not thrive under those kind circumstances. Went to get two soft twist pretzels for me and my friend and ordered some chili Cheese tots and a medium popcorn chicken with ranch and barbecue not only did they forget my ranch, but they forgot my cheese sauce for my pretzels and they gave me fries instead of tots I didn't order much so how they managed to mess up every item is insane to me read more

Congratulations Billings, you have the WORST SONIC in AMERICA! The menu boxes are all busted up and employees do not answer the call button to start. I ordered with the app tonight and waited 30min for my drink and shake before I pushed the button. Took several minutes to get a response. They said we do not have any Reece's pieces, what do you want us to do? Instead of asking me what I wanted to do... they just made me sit and wait over 40min for me to call in to remedy the problem. When my drink finally arrived it was barely half full. They made me wait over 40min to get a half filled drink. It is unfortunate that I have to provide one star to leave my review. read more

Probably the most inconsistent Sonic I have been to. Sometimes it's great and other times it's just bad :( I love the fact that they have the little ice cubes and frequently buy a bag for $1.The only other Sonics are in Great Falls and I think they are run a bit better than the Billings location. read more

I'm a patient guy and I'm trying to be nice during this Covid 19 time but all I kept getting over the drive up speaker is that "I'll be with you in a minute. It was never a minute but 15. God only knows how long the food would have taken. If they had been honest with me from the get go I wouldn't have minded as much but I now have lost my patience because of poor service. My amazing wife and I found ourselves wanting a late night (well late for us anyways) shake/ice cream. Carissa, my wife, mentioned the half priced shakes at Sonic's after 8 pm. The order was going to be 1 oreo/yellow cake batter shake for her and 1 hot fudge shake for me. I pulled up to a line that was about 5 cars deep from order screen. That took an unbelievably long time, almost 30 mins, to get to the order screen/menu. Was told to wait, rudely by woman taking orders. "OK, no problem", I said. After maybe 10-ish minutes, the woman is back. After the first thing I said, she goes "can you speak more clearly and closer to the speaker" (rudely, again)? I was already less than 1 ft from the microphone and was already almost yelling. Some back and forth and some repeating and then nothing.... Silence. For like EVER. Finally, after a while a young lady comes out and says please pull forward... Maybe there's some technical issues? As I get to the window, the snobbiest looking young woman ever (not trying to be rude, but you work at Sonic) opens up and says "what did you want"? I wanted my FREAKING order taken already. So I give my order, no cake batter left so I went with Carissa's 2nd choice of strawberry-cheesecake. I pay the $4.95 for the 2 large shakes, the price was rocking. I get the shakes, I watched every step of the process because I see how much these kids take so much pride in their work and their company/location's reputation. I get the shakes like 10-ish min after paying. It took almost an hour to get to drinks. I'm surprised my wife didn't accuse me of getting a speeding ticket or detouring into a casino or something. The woman said that they couldn't do food, only drinks because "the cook who is the manager is slammed with orders and he's also doing scheduling for the workers" WHAT?! Called them via the stall button, they first told me I didn't check in. When I told them I had an email confirmation, they said it was on the counter to be delivered. After a long 7 hours in the car our family decided to stop at this Billings sonic to get some delicious food in our stomachs. After about 20 minutes of waiting we were finally greeted and told that it would be a few more minutes till we could order. Now it has been 30 minutes and our order has just got in. Have watched 3 other people pull in and leave because things were taking far too long. I'm not sure if you're just understaffed or what's going on here but something needs to be changed this is terrible customer service. I haven't been to Sonic in some time, so I thought I would try it today. From the time we got into line, until the time we got our food was 40 minutes. The slushes barely had any ice in them, and it just wasn't up to what we expected. As much as I wanted to LOVE this restaurant, I found it just okay. Service is prompt but ordering is a little laborious using their speaker system and it would not accept my credit card so there was a hassle in having the waitress run back inside with the card and running back out to pay. It's a good Heights location and easy to get in and out of although if you want to go south on Main you'll have to start North and uturn. The onion rings are the best I've ever eaten. Bar none. Better than not only any fast food but better than any high end restaurant onion rings as well. I tried their Chicago Style hot dog and quite frankly, didn't care for it. The ingredients were all fine, I just didn't care for the flavor. I'm not going to blame Sonic for this though as I knew what was on it and didn't care for it. My chili cheese coney was VERY good. Eating in a Corvette is awkward. I should have gone inside but wanted to try their experience they're selling. I'll go back with a bigger car and more knowledge about what I want to eat and will upgrade my review if I enjoy better the second time. read more

I ordered in the stall, stall 21 to be exact on 5 May 2021, I ordered and was already weary with the screen not even working but didn't bother me I know they can just take my payment when they come up to the car. I wait for 30 minutes with no feed back, I back out, go around to the drive through and ask if there was a hold up with stall 21's order. Some how they got confused that my order was a drive thru order even though I was in a stall and they had voided it and never made any preparations to make my order what so ever. After they told me they had voided my order and I had wasted enough time I left because I wasn't going to wait any longer than I had to.
