    Jax burger

The Jax burger was one of the best burgers I've had in a while. It was cheesy and so juicy! The hot honey sauce was delicious too. My waitress was very friendly and the food was quick to come. The restaurant has booths tall tables and bar seating. It wasn't that busy when I went around 1230.

Caleb B was my server and was phenomenal! answered every question we had, never had to ask for refills, and even made funny jokes when we ordered lol. would recommend the food was quickly brought out and tasted amazing. the decor was nice and cozy as well as welcoming everyone working was very friendly!

    Does this look worth $40?

Went here for Easter brunch buffet, it was extremely disappointing. The food was awful, the set up was bad, it felt very last minute and thrown together. It was not well thought out. There were odd dishes that people had no idea what they were. Food items were not being replenished, the bacon was soggy and undercooked sitting in a puddle of grease, the biscuits were doughy, the prime rib was so rare we couldn't eat it, the "desserts" were just various store bought bars and cookies, not even good ones lol. They were serving lox but no bagels? The red onion to accompany the lox were old and dry, not to mention they had deviled eggs and lox sitting out for a period of time not being chilled. My $3 cup of coffee was basically brown water, no flavor. The Mac and cheese was bland and mushy! All that for $40 per person! It was so overpriced. I felt ripped off, not to mention upset because we were really looking forward to celebrating the holiday there. Honestly, one of the worst dining experiences. Maybe their normal dinner service is better, but I'm not willing to ever go back.

The service was excellent! The food was excellent and the drinks were superb! We will definitely go again and try something new! Nice variety on the menu!!

    Cajun Mahi and Crab

First, I want to say that the food was delicious! It was well prepared and tasted great. However, I felt the menu was overpriced. I ordered the Cajun Mahi and Crab. This plate cost $40 and there was very little crab on the plate. As you can see in the picture, it's a fish fillet with a little crab sprinkled on top. For that much money, I was expecting a good portion of crab. The risotto that it came with was delicious though. Great food, great service, but it ain't cheap.

We started with the octopus appetizer and a gluten-free pita. The pita seemed more like a basic gluten-free pizza crust than traditional pita, but that was a minor point because the muhammara was excellent and the pita/crust worked really well with the octopus. They also did a good job accommodating gluten-free needs throughout the meal, via a dedicated gluten-free menu. For dinner, I had the stuffed pork chop, which had a somewhat Greek-inspired preparation. It was served over orzo and stuffed with feta and olives. Really flavorful, well executed, and a more interesting preparation than the typical pork chop. My wife had the duck and enjoyed it as well. We paired dinner with a bottle of Nebbiolo. Their overall wine selection was solid. The atmosphere was comfortable and polished without being overly formal, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Good food, interesting menu, nice atmosphere, and strong service.

The bartender had a serious attitude problem. When my chili came with onions, I asked if I could get one without the onions. She disgustingly said "yes", making no effort to hide the fact that she was annoyed by the request. She stated that most places put cheese and onions on chili, suggesting that I should thought to request no onions when placing the order. A more common scenario is for the server to ask if you want these additional ingredients when they take the order. They will charge you extra (on top of their already high prices) if you pay with a credit card. This same bartender didn't share this detail with me until I asked why my bill wasn't the price listed in the menu. When I expressed disappointment and asked for a receipt so I could go to the cashier to pay with cash, she made the comment "I don't make the rules". I usually won't bother reviewing a place based on just a bowl of soup, but my experience here was so awful that I have little reason to ever return.

Ok, so, we started with crab cakes and oysters. The oysters were East Coast oysters and I'm from NY, so I had to get them. I haven't had raw oysters in over 20 years, and these did not disappoint! They were so delicious, I ordered 4 more, but they only had one more of the one I wanted, and I happily took it. The crab cakes were good, too. So maybe we should have quit while were ahead.... It took an hour to get our meals, and when we did, I was unimpressed. Mine was slopped onto the plate, with mashed potatoes smeared on the side and the sauce dripped on sides of the inside of the rimmed plate. The potatoes looked congealed, like they had been sitting out, and they had, because the food was cold. I asked for it to be heated up, and I'm fairly convinced they microwaved it, because the plate was warm, but the food still wasn't. The steak was extremely salty, potatoes gluely, and the broccolini was bitter and woefully under seasoned. My husband offered to switch plates. He has the pasta, which was also not very good, but at least it was hot. The description said andouille sausage, but it was clearly kielbasa, and the sauce was greasy and separated. Who hired these so-called chefs? Where did they get their degree? Do they even have one? We go out to eat so rarely. I'm a fantastic cook myself, so when we go out, we want the food we order to be better than what I can make at home. Especially at $30 a plate. So, alas, they get 2 stars, for the excellent service, the delicious oysters, and the beautiful ambiance. They apologized profusely and took my horrible dinner off our bill. We are so grateful for that. We will be back for a pretzel. And more oysters.

The flavors were good, but the shrimp were very small and the knife work on the dish was a little rough. It also came with only two pieces of baguette, which felt a bit light for a shared appetizer. For dinner, I originally ordered the pork schnitzel and my wife ordered the lamb. About 20 minutes later, we were told they were out of the pork, which was disappointing and something I would have expected the kitchen to know much earlier in service. I switched to the veal piccata. The veal itself was very good, plenty of lemon and capers. The potatoes and asparagus served alongside it did very little for me, though. I think pasta would have been a much better accompaniment. To their credit, the restaurant handled the pork issue well and comped us a crème brûlée as an apology, which was appreciated. Enzo is beer and wine only. I had a Sauvignon Blanc with the appetizer, and we ordered a bottle of Barolo for dinner that was fantastic. The wine list is decent, but I wouldn't describe it as particularly deep or exceptional. Service was friendly, the atmosphere was nice, and the main courses were good. There are some operational and execution details that could be tightened up, but overall we enjoyed the meal and I'd return.
