We don't eat here. Like ever. We're not from Bonney lake. But last night we figured we were in town so why not. There were 5 of us - my husband and I and our 3 kids. I ordered the coney chili dog - the Costco sized one and I got a small order of mozzarella sticks. I asked for ranch dressing to dip. The girl confirmed our order and read it off to us. It sounded correct. Only when we got our food, there was no ranch. Nothing to dip my mozz sticks in and my chili dog was practically bare. Not a chili bean in sight. So we went back through the line and I showed her my food. She looked at our order and said we would need to be charged for the ranch since they didn't charge us for it the first time and they're "only allotted a certain amount of chili for the chili dogs" so they would need to charge us for more chili. Are you kidding me?!? We just paid over $60 for our food. But fine, we will pay. We got two ranches and a cup of chili. I swear to you, they watered down the chili. It was so runny and again, no beans. Chili is literally beans. I didn't even finish it because it wasn't good. I used to love this place years ago when we lived in town. I ordered a breakfast burro which was super plain and cold. The burger was decent but also cold. I also ordered tater tots which were whatever. Even the Coke Zero I ordered tasted watered down. Probably one of the worst places to get food. Got a Dr Pepper and it tasted just like water which is crazy. My burger was cold. My mozzarella sticks weren't even cooked all the way. The girl who took my order and payment did not have a nice tone or a good personality. Everyone there just gave off a really like "idgaf" vibe and it was just a bad interaction all together. Don't get food here I don't think they clean or do anything productive for that place everyone seems to hate their life and it's just a shit hole tbh. I've had multiple interactions here and every time it seems like they have attitude and just want to shut the window. After Covid it was really tough to visit this Sonic drive-in. They didn't have the help and they didn't do Carside service. Fast forward to present... My husband and I recently went a couple of times over the past couple of months and we were serviced by Dylan. She did an amazing job. I don't know if she's the manager or the person at the drive-in window, but she was efficient, thorough, and polite. They're located in a sort of hard-to-get-to location (who planned that?) but if I'm in the area or at Lowe's it's a great place to drive through for an iced tea. So here is my experience: placed Grubhub order at 6:22pm. Order picked up at 6:40pm. Order delivered at 6:48pm. Food was cold and milkshake completely thawed and there was a label or something floating in the drink contaminating the drink. It was very clear the food was not fresh made and not packaged properly to preserve warmth. The milkshake was the worst ever. Makes me wonder how long the food was sitting waiting for an order to fill. Staff at Bonney Lake store took no responsibility and was not concerned in correcting the issue. I'd love to know what it is about Sonic that just sucks as a whole. Every single location is terrible. The employees are nice....but that literally doesn't matter after you've sat in line for 20 minutes, moved once, watched 6 cars drive away because they're also tired of sitting, the guy behind me sat for 5 minutes before being greeted at the speaker, I waited another 10 minutes waiting for 2 pretzel twists and a mozz stick order... It's impossible to get your order correct, there's always something missing. My drinks are always melted by the time I get to the window. I get that you guys are understaffed but still. Maybe you need to close off more parking stalls so you can focus on your drive thru? Cause this is unbelievably ridiculous. You know, I never thought I'd be giving a fast food restaurant a measly 1 Star review but it's happening. We show up and pull into a stall (we've never done it this way before so we figured "why not?"), and it takes 10 minutes for them to come over the intercom to take our order. I was understanding since their drive through was obviously kind of busy, but nothing crazy. We ordered, we paid and then sat there for a little over 20 minutes, watching as car after car after car (dozens) go through the drive through and leave. I go talk to the only employee I could find who went inside to see what was taking so long. I could see him talking to a coworker about it who was visibly distraught with his questioning and when he returned to told me they were just start our two hotdogs and corn dog and that it would be "awhile longer till you get your order". This is obviously not okay but I brushed it off and then went back to my car. Another 20 or so minutes pass and my this time I'm annoyed and begin getting back out of the vehicle to cancel and ask for a refund then rolls up an employee with my order, finally! He hands me our order and doesn't even acknowledge the extensive wait we just experienced, no apology, nothing. I'm more forgiving than most because I've worked in the food industry, but this is just unacceptable and with the large array of negative comments about this specific branch, I'm surprised they're still operating in Bonney Lake. Definitely unhappy and I hope that they switch something up to make VAST improvements in their services. read more

Customer service is a seriously lacking on all levels. If they don't close early due to "staffing issues", then you will wait forever. After waiting in line and finally getting to the speaker had to wait another 10 minutes for them even to acknowledge I was there. Sonic is like a classic for my generation, especially as a Washingtonian. Since there's only like three locations here, it's always such a treat when I actually get to go! I hear they're building one in Kent next year though, so I'm sure it won't be as special this time next year... We went pretty late at night and it was just to grab some snacks for the hour ride home. We ended up getting some mozzarella sticks and a corn dog. The mozzarella sticks are soooo good, but it's almost hard to mess up breaded cheese. The corn dog was decent, but I mean, it was only fifty cents so I can't really complain. One of my fiance's favorite thing about this place is the fact that they have so many cool drink creations that you can throw together. He ended up trying a Dr. Pepper and vanilla (pretty damn good) and Sprite with blue raspberry. Also very good! If you haven't experience a Sonic for yourself, you gotta get here soon! read more

Unbelievably rude employee... If I could give the customer service here a -5, I would. After spending over $40 on food I noticed that I was missing an item from my order. It was no big deal, I just circled back around to the drive through. While waiting to get to the window I noticed that I was also missing one of the extra cheese sauces I ordered so I let them know once I pulled up. As soon as one of the girls in the back heard that I wanted my extra cheese sauce she started raising her voice saying "She's wrong, I already gave her the ones she ordered", then proceeded to quickly pop her head all the way out of the drive through window until it was practically in my face while she was pointing at the receipt that I was holding. I then had to physically show her where the receipt listed the extra sauces I had already paid for. She then quickly pulled herself back inside while saying "Fine, fine. She's still wrong... etc." and continued to yell things I couldn't make out. The way she treated me was completely uncalled for and makes me think that this isn't the first time its happened. After all of that, they ended up giving me the wrong size on what they forgot to add to my order in the first place, and the food was mediocre at best. We decided to go through the drive through to possibly get some service. We ended up waiting at the speaker to order for 5 minutes before they asked for our order. It took 15 minutes, after that, to get our food. Let me just tell you what we ordered: a foot long chili cheese coney, a large chili cheese tots, 6-in chili cheese coney with mustard and fries. Now let me tell you what we got: footling chili cheese coney, large chili cheese tots, 6-in chili cheese coney NO mustard, a small order of chili cheese tots, and fries. When I say we got fries, that's being generous. A large order of fries came with about 10 fries (see the pics). The CHILD working the drive through even noticed there were barely any in there, said he'd go get fresh ones, came back, and gave them to me in a bag. I'm sorry, how many were in there to begin with? Not only was the service bad, but the food was cold and underdone. I've been in the bathroom since we got home. All in all, TERRIBLE service, HORRIBLE food. I swear if I could give this place negative stars I would! I tried this Sonic on October 24th, 2020 at 3:10ish... I chose this location because it was close to my house. Disappointed is an understatement! I ordered a simple snack consisting of a small onion ring, corn dog and sweet tea. Let's start with the corn dog: it was OLD and heavily saturated with oil. There was absolutely no crunch and upon taking the first bite, I immediately felt sick. The onion rings were cold and had a weird sweet taste to them (sweeter than normal), aside from tasting sweet there was no salt. My sweet tea was warm, with literally no ice. Went there Dec 16 around 4pm we to get 4 burgers. Made our order at the drive-up, and went around to pay. Only to be ignored at the window.. for TEN minutes.. not even my money was taken by anyone. I look in the window, see ONE kid hustling to get stuff done and the rest looking at their smart phones and texting. Seriously?!? Why are these chumps even ALLOWED to have their phones with them when they're working?? And since when is it acceptable service to ignore your customers? I went to Jack in the Box instead. This is the first time I have ever experienced the worst customer service. I have been in customer service 7 years. That saying 'the customer is always right' does not apply here. I had just finished working a 12 hour shift and went through to get a quick bite to eat. I got to the drive thru at 10:15 and did not reach the drive through window until probably 10:25. Not because the 4 cars in front of me had long orders but because the sonic employee was making them sit for 5 min before even greeting them or letting them know it would take him a minute to get the them. When it was finally my turn I sat in front of the intercom for roughly 10 min until someone greeted me. There was no 'hey we're sorry for the wait' or 'give me one moment, I will be right with you.' After finishing my order which was a simple corn dog, tater tots and small chocolate milk shake I proceeded to the drive through window. As I pulled up the gentlemen told me my total and I asked to speak to the manager. I told her that because of the 20-25 min wait I wouldn't be paying for my food. She then proceeded to argue with me. Saying they were short staffed. I replied with 'my time is my money, if I wanted to wait for 30 min I would have gone to a restaurant and been waited on.' She then came back with 'ma'am I'm sorry but I can not give you your food for free.' We argued back and forth for a good 8 min. I was already shocked that nobody had apologized, let alone that a MANAGER had the audacity to argue with a customer. I asked for her boss's name and number and she said that the only way I could speak to her boss was to come back at 11AM the next day. Savannah is the general manager. Dear Savannah, Please for the love of god teach yourself and your employees the power of customer service.
