Excellent place for all your wine & spirits needs! My friend brought me here for the first time and it's huge and they have such a variety. Staff is friendly. At the entrance to the store there was a nice man giving samples. The female cashier who helped me was friendly also. The shelves are neat and organized. I love that they have mini versions. There was a special flavored whiskey that I wish had samples because it's a unique flavor I'd like to try first before buying a whole bottle. I ended up buying a mini version of Angel's envy around $18 and a yuzu mixer I'm planning to use with my gin. Whenever I visit Seattle I will definitely be stopping by here. read more

Thanks to another location for the July 4th holiday save, she was able to purchase it without any issues. Talking to customers about their age. The cashier that sold my sister alcohol a couple days prior decided to not sell her alcohol today, July 3rd. She's been a repeated customer here and has been served multiple times by a guy manager due to her ID being vertical (got it at 17, currently is 21 about to turn 22). Supposedly the lady cashier and manager cannot decipher an ID from a real or fake though they're trained to do so, even going as far as to ask my sister for her D.O.B and still deciding not to sell to her. In principle, I don't like the idea of a "warehouse" wine seller. I've always preferred the small privately owned spots that have more ambience, that get to know you. I've had a lot of good experiences with those types of spots, which I actually have not found in my area, so when I need a specific liquor/liqueur or what-have-you, say for a recipe or a gift, then I do go here. If I need wine, not so much; I will tend to just buy wine where I usually shop for groceries or I buy it online which is more fun. Wine-wise, in spite of the name and the size this place never seems to have anything that interests me. It's fun to browse the other aisles, the vodkas, the whiskeys, etc. and to see all the different brands (I love to find the ones owned by celebrities). Service is so-so. Although there are staff all over the place, they seem to always be talking to each other or some other customer and they do not acknowledge you unless you come right up to them. Something that has always put me off here - they don't have Hawaiian wines. Do that and I would go there more often. Heck, all 50 states please. Why? Because not only are there some great ones, but also it would better convince me that this really is the "Total Wine" spot. read more

We stayed near SeaTac in Southcenter which turned out to be close to everything we needed. Like wine. Walking into this place reminds me of a Costco except the only thing they sell is alcohol...Mostly wine (duh, Total Wine), but hard liquor and some beer tucked in along the right side completes this alcoholic wonderland. They have some wine "accessories" but honestly, just go to Target or Walmart for those and stick to what they do best here. Staff was excellent. Location was great. Prices, ehhh. On a sleepy Saturday morning I decided to go to Total Wine and More to pick up a variety of alcohol. It is essential to my mental health with all the restaurants and bars being closed. I went in and quickly noted the various employees wearing face masks. The aisles were marked with one way foot traffic and there were many signs stressing social distancing. The store itself was quite quiet. Peoples were largely mindful of keeping distant and the majority followed the signs. A few ran by them without a second glance. I noticed employees frequently also did not follow the signs which doesn't really help enforce the new rules. But everyone was very polite and patient. The inventory was well stocked. I always enjoy their wide selection of liqueurs, hard liquors, and wine. They also have a great selection of beer and craft beer. Checking out was easy. There were no lines. The cashier wore a face mask and had a plexiglas shield that divided us. She was very helpful. All in all a good experience! read more

The store manager Brian refused to release a delivery to me via INSTACART, because I didn't physically have my license on me and threatened to call the police on me for not having a license ON ME, which is a traffic violation at best. I have been delivering from this store for MONTHS and have always presented my passport. I have never had a problem with Chris, the other store manager approving my passport. Imagine the warehouse from Raiders of the Lost Ark, but toney and filled with alcohol instead of crazy archeological/government-confiscated stuff. No really - this is Total Wine. I wish there was a location nearer my house - I would be there every weekend, like a kid in a candy store, yeesh. They have a great selection of other items too - glasses, collectibles, dishware, and other stuff. I could spend hours in there, literally. The selection of different liquors, liqueurs, beer, and wine is mind-blowing. Even the stores I saw in Miami when I lived there didn't have this kind of selection. My favorite location and best liquor store in WA! Since Day 1, WA passed its law in no longer having the government regulating liquor sales, this became my favorite place. The store's layout is the best out of all Totals out there. To the left of the store, you will find their wine selection. Towards the back and middle of the store you will find their hardcore liquor stuff. And to the right of the store, you will find their beer selection. Their weekend tastings are done near the middle left area. Their snacks and accessories are in between. Their staff are pretty cool and helpful. Restrooms are pretty wet and clean. I came to pick up an online order. Easy breezy right? There's a huge sign at the front that says "Pick up online orders here", but it looks like you are supposed to just walk past cashiers and grab it which I'm sure is wrong. I waited at the end that I assumed was the place to wait for a good 5 minutes and then figured I was wrong since I wasn't acknowledged. Went to customer service where no one was so went and waited in line. When I finally got to the cashier, the white woman with glasses and brown hair pulled back rudely cut me off and told me to wait at the end and push the button. As I was saying I waited but no one came, she interrupted me and told the customer behind me to come up so she could assist them. Not sure why it's hard to say it nicely especially since I wasn't acting like a Karen, I just didn't know where to go. Later a tan lady with black hair was kind enough to make sure I did what I needed to be assisted. And the man who helped get the order was very sweet and made sure I had the assistance needed. Soooo the two stars is for the rude lady who found it too much of a burden to show any type of customer service. HOWEVER, she was nice to everyone else so her customer service obviously isn't bad, just towards me I guess lol read more

Beware of the rude manager for tasting alcohol. For 20 years I was a customer of this store because it has some alcohol that is not available in Costco or in Fred Meyer. And as my IT company is next to this store I used to visit this store on Fridays one or two times per month after work to test alcohol in this store and buy wine, vodka or brandy. Tasting by teaspoon-sized amounts from about 5-7 bottles of alcohol is free for evenings or weekends. Last Friday I asked a manager, Jason Castoriano, to serve me just the sample of one bottle but my asking was declined in an arrogant manner by that manager that he gives samples only to those customers by his words: "who intend to buy' that beverage. And as he reminds me from last visits that I did not buy any tasted alcohol he is not serving me the sample to taste. I try to explain that I did not ask him to give me the sample of previously tested beverages but that Total Wine employee insisted that he is not serving me a sample. I was humiliated before the customers and despised just for that teaspoon-sized sample because of the cheap manager of this store. No more spending my money there in the future. read more

Been here on several occasions and have been very satisfied with the selection and staff. As with any business some employees are very knowledgeable and others are learning the job. I've been fortunate to have some very knowledgeable and friendly employees help me out. I'm not much of a beer or wine drinker my beverage of choice is whisky especially Scotch, Irish Whisky and Japanese Whisky. I have met a few employees who besides recommending a bottle will actually talk about the history of a particular distillery or brand. This is what I call going above and beyond. For those of you that have met with a so-so employee don't let that person spoil your opinion of this particular location. I actually ignored this place up for quite awhile when they first moved in because of the name. I don't drink wine; I don't need to go to a warehouse full of it. How wrong I was, friends. They aren't kidding about the "& More" part! This place is your one stop shop for your alcohol needs. Between the tastings, education classes, and huge selection they definitely have something for you. Prices are good - they're not always the cheapest for what I buy, but they usually are. Overall service is friendly, but it can be a little slow at times. Not because it's busy, but because employees have abandoned their post and it can take a bit to track someone down. Out of all the employees I've interacted with over the years, the only associate I've ever avoided (and currently still do) is Dayr. I don't care how long the other line is, he rubs me the wrong way and that's the last experience I want after a long day at work. read more

I rarely rarely write reviews. Customer Service Poor!!! Being a person that has worked retail for Nike, Nordstrom and more I know the importance of Customer Service and leaving lasting impression. This is minor but to any extent even if a margin is only 0.10 cents for the store Net that customer purchasing even bubble gum is important. On the 29th I made a purchase at your Bellevue location great EXPERIENCE a gentleman named Bill went out of his way to give great information on a Tequila bottle and so much more. On this day the 30th, 1st I will say I respect store policy but the way this experience went to me is totally all wrong. So I came in only needing some Pong balls for our gathering, found them no help which is fine, went to check out and got told "hey actually I need ID" I left my ID at our hotel 10miles out and that would mean 10miles back I wasn't planning on buying more alcohol or driving so I didn't think I would need it. So the clerk said maybe ask our Store Manager she happened to be up front and just her instant impression rubbed me off wrong. 1. She looked like she was agitated already 2. She started off "ohhhh well yeah actually we're not even allowed to have you in the store if you don't have ID on you showing your over 21" (I respect store policy again but if that's the case why is someone not carding at the door or at least if a person looks under 65 maybe a employee asking as your in the store???) if it's policy enforce it everywhere not just where it's convenient. 3. I happened to have an account there showing purchase and had a debit card with my name and could verify match to purchase. Figured buying non-alcoholic item that should be potentially ok. (She re-irritated a more disturbed tone, about policy) 4. So all in all didn't get to purchase but it's also just as much about the experience and what could've been done. If that's what you like Total Wine and stand by it go give her a gold medal for doing her job. But I doubt the alcohol board and your guys permits look that heavily on a ping pong purchase or a small wine cork or a pack of chips all while not having ID, I believe it to just be a company policy more so. 4. Change the policy on non-alcoholic purchases may drive your guys revenue up more, it's not like it hurts you guys to sell more, but I agree if you may think you'll get a bunch of 14 or teens coming in flooding the place or try to market a certain crowd...but comes to point, a sale is a sale and most kids in my opinion if they know it's an alcohol store aren't going in there acting out if that's the case kick them out all the same. So all in all I went out of my way to make sure to get pong balls somewhere else. Probably not even close to your guys concern that's fine it's not like I buy $20k at your store a year or buying exclusively but I'll be sure to go out of my way not to go to the Tukwila location, Bellevue or other ones all good in my book. read more

The selection here is out of this world. Wine and spirits are readily available that I've usually had to special order, or get online. I was able to purchase bottles of Pétrus, Armand de Brignac, and Krug among several others. My liquor cabinet is now full of my favorite spirits, The Macallan 25 and Hangar One's "Tasting Room" Series to name a few, because of Total Wine. Prices are so reasonable, you'll buy DOUBLE what you intended to. I can't stress just how VAST their selections are. It doesn't matter if you're a connoisseur, or just looking for something that tastes good and is inexpensive, you'll find it here. I do not visit this location often. I was there to pick up a few new drinks to try. I was having a difficult time finding things, as the store has moved things around. Cody was helping another customer and when he was don, I asked him for help. What a delightful young man! He helped me find everything on my list, even going and getting one for me. When I plan poorly and forget to load up on supplies in tax-free Portland, Total Wine is a great contingency solution. Unless you are looking for something really rare or collector grade, you will find it here. I'm on a Cahors kick, and they have it, but its run of the mill stuff - at least the prices are good. Same deal with Troken~Auslese German wines (except the costs are too high for such). And the non-standard domestic red grapes are not represented that well. OK - so these niche wines are better left to ordering on-line. But for just about everything else, you will be pleased with the breadth. In the SF Bay I used to happily shop quite a bit at BevMo. Total Wines is much better from a selection and sale-price standpoint. In fact, I've been to this Total Wine several times without even thinking of stopping by the nearby BevMo. read more

I had such a great experience my first time shopping by myself! I came down to get two bottles of wine as gifts for Christmas (ended up leaving with four bottles... Oops), and even when the store was packed and busy, I still had great service! If you don't know much about wine, don't let that stop you from coming in. If you're socially awkward, have no fear! The shelves have randomly placed hand written labels that briskly explains some of the products. There are more labels that explains what the wine is made of (berries, mocha, caramel), what it may taste like (full or medium bodied), what it pairs well with (pork, salmon, chocolates, cheese). There are other labels with employee photos that states their favorite wines, which I find to be a very cute personal touch; plus it's like getting an experts recommendation without having to actually talk to someone! If you don't know much about wine but you're not as socially awkward, you definitely should talk to one of their wine experts and have them help you choose! Brian at the Cabernet aisle first came off as kinda.... Cold? But after asking more questions and after warming up, I ended up having a great conversation and I learned so much about wine thanks to him! And apparently, there's A LOT more to know. If you need help finding a good Cabernet or if you need a run down on how to analyze the labels, Brian's your guy! He was awesome! This place also has free wine tastings on Friday nights and weekend evenings! By the registers, they have a super freezer; stick your bottle in the machine while you're waiting in line, in 3-7 minutes, your drink will be chilled or ice cold! Pretty cool!!!
