I have grown up with Sonic and have especially love the frozen drinks. Nothing better than during a hot Texas summer to go over and get a Route 44 of slush to cool off. It's just what Texans do. I was over in Cedar Hill on one of our many 100 plus degree days and thought I'd drop in and get a slush to cool off. I get in line at the drive through and it's slow going. The lady comes on the squawk box and is giving me the impression that I'm bothering her. Hey, everybody has bad days so it's no big deal. I ordered a large cherry with a double shot of vanilla added to it. All in all it took me close to ten minutes to get my drink. I take off down the road and get to work on the business end of that straw and I could barely taste the cherry. Oh, there was some cherry flavor there but when the vanilla overpowers it, you know someone has messed up. I didn't have time to go back so I drank what I could and it ended up in the garbage. So being a Sonic lover I was back in Cedar Hill a week later and I thought to get another slush because that last one was probably a mistake. I really do understand that "stuff happens". Same drive thru and I'm pretty sure the same lady with the same "bothered" attitude. So I order the same slush to get every thing equal. SAME CRAPPY FLAVOR. How hard is pouring syrup over shaved ice? At this place they short pour BIG TIME. Now "My Sonic" is on Camp Wisdom in Grand Prairie. This crew makes a slush that'll put you in a diabetic coma they're so sweet. No joke, try one. The next time you go back, and you will, ask them to take it easy on the syrup. It'll be PERFECT. And the Camp Wisdom staff are the best. Real nice people. Cedar Hill Sonic is pretty poor when they can't even mix a slush correctly. read more

If you like your food to look burnt, taste burnt and smell burnt this is the place for you! I ordered 2 sausage breakfast sandwiches and proceeded home. As we were unwrapping them, the smell of burned food was obvious. The bread was hard and brown black around most of the edges. One side of the sausage looked fine the other side was hard and over cooked. I fed most of the edible parts to the dog. The smell was a real appetite killer. read more

Possibly the slowest Sonic in Texas. People had been in line so long that they were jumping the curbs to bail. I'm not sure if its the people who live here that are mildly retarded or the employees don't care about their job. Its a mystery. This location is slow. Waited at the drive thru for over 10 minutes. The line wasn't packed. We had to repeat our order 5 times or more. I mean that. We only wanted 2 drinks. They were slow to take our payment. They didn't give us straws. We kept yelling, "MAM! MAM!" She never heard us. We got the straws 5 minutes later. This place is horrible. I really don't even like to eat there and my employees always talk about how bad it is. I run a business right up the street. I did go there to get a shake lunch. Like most reviews say...very slow in the drive thru. I had to repeat my order at least 3 times with some explanation at the end. Medium Oreo Chocolate Master Shake. It is on the menu right?? Lady didnt seem to know what it was. Get to the window and get handed a regular chocolate shake. Send it right back and ask for my money back. She tries to bring me change for my order. I refuse and state..i just want my money back. Leave for several minutes and another person..a guy..comes to window. I assume he is the manager. He asked what the problem is and I tell him my order was wrong and I just want my money back. He goes and gets me $3.78. I tell him I paid $4 and had to argue with him that I didnt get my change so was owed $4. Poor service. Poor after the sale service. By the way...one of my employees got a burger with mold on it from there a month or so ago and he says they didnt care about that either. Just don't go here. Went for a Lemon Berry Slush and it tasted like water very disappointed especially bc i paid 2.48 for a MEDIUM size. Smh.... UPDATE i called and they told me they will take care of my next slush. Yay! I'll make sure to taste it bf i leave. read more

I ordered a hotdog with chili, mustard, and onions. I received a mustard hotdog. It looked as if the top came off the mustard container and spilled all over my hotdog and they served that to me. I did not follow my own rule to always check my food before I leave the restaurant and I paid the price for it. I did not see it until after I got home. I can't believe how poor customer service has gotten these days. No one made a check of this hotdog to see that it was inedible, no I think they just didn't care. I work real hard for my money and I'm not in the business of giving it away. I contacted the restaurant via there web site and received an email that someone would be contacting me, well that was 07/23/2019 no word from anyone. I contacted the cooperate office as well last week and I have not received a reply from anyone as of yet. I will not be returning to this Sonic again and will let all my friends and family know about my experience. read more

I waited for 20 minutes and paid $5.40 for a super sonic double cheeseburger and when I got home to eat my burger it was only 1 meat, it was cold and soggy. The kid working didn't even give me a receipt. I have been in school and working all day sort of looking forward to a good burger. Right now I'm pissed because I just tried to call and no one answers which I'm sure they are closed. You don't realize how good this Sonic is until you try the Sonic's nearby. This is one of the few Sonic's with actually tasty food and good service (on a good day of course). The other Sonic's I've been to, specifically in Grand Prairie taste like they cook their food in an Easy bake Oven and all of their drinks are diet. If I go to a DRIVE-IN restaurant I want some good food with all the fattiness, not flavorless cream. Tbh, this Sonic has impressed me time and time again, the stalls can be completely full and service maybe take 8-12 minutes, but their food still tastes good. I came to sonic today and ordered a kids meal chicken strip and an extra corn dog when I got my order I was missing a corndog I pushed the red button to advise that was missing a corndog they said they would have it out as soon as possible waited for been 30 maybe 40 minutes I'm still waiting on the corn dog every time a employee passes they don't look my direction so I just left and the last time I'll be coming here The customer service is horrible, the food is great but the food isnt the only thing that makes A fast food place great. read more

This has got to be the slowest "fast food" restaurant in North America!! I made the mistake of going through the drive thru thinking it would be faster. Big mistake! We were stuck in line for almost an hour! Fifteen of those minutes were spent sitting at the window waiting for our food. Pulled up to place my order and had to repeat it 4 times after that she got it all wrong, but the many thing is when she came back on she told me well you said to cut the things on the hamburger, number one the best come back would have been I'm sorry sir I got it wrong please let me try it again.
