As long as it's not the location In Lancaster off pleasant run, I'm sure you'll have a great experience at sonic. They have so many options and specials that you literally can't go wrong choosing to stop by one of their locations(minus the Lancaster location), the manager or woman who looks and acts like the manager is extremely rude and obviously hates her job. But outside of her , sonic is the best. From The breakfast burritos to the cheese burgers to the foot long chili cheese dogs . I have hoped that they would get better, but no they have not! I live in Cedar Hill but when I do want Sonic I drive to Desoto where I can most times expect decent service and food quality. Today I purchased a medium cheese stick & asked for ranch and marinera,I should have investigated before leaving! I get home and find small order, only 4 sticks, two ranches, no marinara and charged for medium price,oh and the sticks were not fresh, texture was off, like being reheated! I know what they are supposed to be like since that is about all I order from there. Not happy, and not surprised!! Your employee, Erin, was taking out the trash and it was dripping the whole way to the dumpster. When he got to the dumpster, he flung the trash bag into the air, and multiple pieces of trash went all over the ground. Instead of picking up his litter, he left it there, on the ground. We were in the drive through for quite some time and watched him multiple times walk as slow as a turtle taking out people's orders. He was also texting while at work. I said no he took my order . Turns out he was the manager. They told me don't worry about the charge . To the owner your very lucky to have a manager like that . God bless ! I give this location a 4 star because of the great service HOWEVER, I give the owner no stars because there were graduates from last year and this year who did not receive ANYTHING from their job at Sonic. These young people need to be recognized from the jobs they go to everyday. A gift card of at the very least $25 would have been nice for the 2020 and 2021 grads. 2020 was a tough year and these young people deserve all our support. It's not too late, right a wrong and show your employees you appreciate them and have a certain amount of pride in having them there. The Cedar Hill, TX location is horrible. I have to beg them to put a cherry in my cherry Dr. Pepper & then they try to charge me for it. Food is cold a lot of the time. Speakers/stalls are constantly broken. The place can not be busy, yet it takes several minutes for one of the kids to acknowledge my existence. I would never return to this location if it was up to me. My son convinces me to give them another chance all the time, & I foolishly take him up on that. Most of the time it's disappointment. Some day I'll learn not to go back there. Clearly, management doesn't care because there's been multiple complaints made by other people, & the same crappy service continues. read more

I've been to so many bad Sonics but this one is the absolute worst! I pulled in to order a drink before Happy Hour ended at 4 and by the time I got to the window to pay it was 4:21. I would have left the line but the way the drive thru is set up, once you're in it, you're trapped. I asked them why it took so long and got only a shrug and an I don't know. They wouldn't even give me my drinks at the Happy Hour price even tho I'd ordered them before it was over. They said it was a computer thing. Ok, first off, I get that working at sonic isn't glamorous and prolly sucks ass on the best days but it's a job. I didn't tell the employees to work there, they signed up for it. Arrived at 10:27 and sat in the drive through for an hour. If I hadn't already waited 30 minutes, I would have left at 11 when they closed but once you're in the drive through you're kinda stuck until right at the end and fuck it, I waited so I'm gonna get my food. You'd think that's how things work, right? Wrong. When I was able to order the guy taking it, kept rushing saying "anything else" before I was even finished speaking, so of course he didn't ring it in properly. How can you do your job properly when you're rushing to leave? I finally get to the window, a lady starts to read a ticket making sure that everything was correct and to speed things up, I said "a number 2, a number 8, and a kids corn dog" she said ok and then I paid. Couple minutes later I was handed a single bag with two burgers and piece of toast wrapped in foil. When I started to say, "ok where's the rest" she wasn't even willing to listen to me ask and just said "it's all in the bag", once again how can you do your job properly if you're rushing to leave?! I said no it's not, this is not my food. She then starts to ask what I ordered, as if we didn't just have a little "check and make sure" with the whole ticket reading thing. I can then hear the exchange between her and the person cooking inside basically how he was saying he was already cleaning and he wasn't making certain things. Oh and it's not like there were the only two people working, no no, there were a minimum of five employees walking around the inside doing who knows what because it wasn't work. The lady opens the window and says "pull forward, they'll bring it out" mind you, it's already 11:40. I said ok, no attitude, no complaints, just "ok". It was 11:57 and the lady comes out, once again with a single bag so I already knew I wasn't getting what I ordered. In this bag was a kids corn dog, no side/no toy/no drink (not what I ordered), a supersonic cheeseburger (not what I ordered), and a tray for a foot long hot dog that was filled with popcorn chicken and Buffalo sauce (once again not what I ordered). So these employees all had to stay cooking almost an hour after close and STILL couldn't just pull it together for one damn order, I waited for an hour and a half total and still didn't get what I had ordered. The worst of the worst at this place, simply because of laziness. Not even like the employees are having to serve tables, or buss, or do the math since it's all on the computer or even have interaction with customers. There's literally only one person directly speaking face to face with customers and delivering food through the drive through window. (There was no stall service at this time btw so literally just drive through service and it took this long.) I called and spoke to a manager and was told "ok I refunded the amount and if you come back another day we'll remake your food". I don't even want that shit, I want the employees to be spoken to and for food to not just be comped because of their laziness, that's a waste of damn money when they could just be doing their job correctly the first time. I get that that's how chain places deal with issues, but this wasn't even a problem due to random funky reasons that actually require a comp, this was all because the employees didn't wanna do their job 40 minutes before closing. Like it's your job bro?! How you gonna be mad that you have to work at your job when your place is still open for business? What do you expect? just honestly fed up with this whole place. read more

I've been eating at this Sonic for two decades. It has gotten so bad lately. I' m lucky I like all the flavors of milkshake which is good because I never know what they actually gave me compared to what I ordered. I expect some errors but every time for the past two years. I get jacked on what they give me. I'm to the point that my family calls it the Sonic lottery. Absolutely disgusting! We ordered 2 slushes, 3 regular drinks, and a Oreo milkshake, our slushes tasted like water, the Oreo milkshake was CHEESE CAKE!! It wasn't even mixed correctly and it was just the cookie part and cheese cake! We wanted a refund then we called the Sonic and we said what was happening to our drinks THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE HUNG UP ON US WHILE WE WERE TALKING! (Btw it was a female employee.) We called again but from a different phone number, the same person answered and we asked for the manager and she said "okay, wait here!" but she was acting "nice."
