My experience was really good I got tater tots that were really good. We got our food quickly in like 10 minutes. The cherry limeade was amazingly exquisite . The menu was very easy to see at the pull up drive thru. The one thing that didn't make it a five star was the grilled cheese. First time I've ever been to a Sonic and I'm complete obsessed! I haven't had a hot dog in over a year so this made it extra delicious. I opted for the New York dog combo with tater tots and unsweetened iced tea. The New York dog has sauerkraut, spicy brown mustard and grilled onions. 400 calories, 200 which are fat calories and OMG did I enjoy every morsel. I also loved that the tater tots were super crispy! I'm grateful there aren't any Sonic locations near me, otherwise I'd be here way too often! read more

Went to this Sonic to park in the shade and have frozen drink with lunch on a scorching hot day. But car service was closed - no signage to that effect. Spent 35 minutes in the Drive Thru that only served about 6-7 cars in that time. Workers moving in slow motion like there was no line at all. There needs to be a negative stars rating because even 1 star is too many for them! I've given Sonics a total of 3 opportunities to get it right and they've failed miserably each time! First of all it takes a lot for me to complain about a fast food place because things happen. We pulled up to the stalls to order and then got told we had to through the drive through. We then waited a super long time and heard other people ordering complaining. We got our drinks with no carbonation, we then asked for new ones that also had no carbonation. They then forgot one of our items and the girl at the window had a serious attitude problem, not our fault they messed up. My very last visit to this Sonic. In the past, Sonic had ok food, but now it really has taken a step backwards. Hot dogs are microwaved and brutally made. Ordered foot long with chili, cheese and onions, the hot dog was borderline in eatable. Cheese was stuck to the box, hot dog was tough, no onions, not that that would have made much difference. If any fast food place should shut down for poor business, this Sonic should be a casualty. It would not be missed in the community. I am totally done with Sonic, and in the past, I made it a point to stop when traveling down south. RIP Sonic, it's your own poor management and incompetence. read more

Went to this location and pulled into the car hop and was told to wait after pressing the red button to order. After 10 minutes and nobody taking our order I thought maybe they were taking care of the drive thru because there wasn't another car at the car hop, but I found not a single car at the drive thru and instead 3 employees standing in the kitchen talking. I sent photos of cups to sonic and two days later still havebt received any word from the actual chambersburg sonic.... We did not receive a receipt. We pulled in at 9:02pm at the drive thru. We were 4th in line. There were no cars at the stalls and two people who were together at the outdoor ordering. We didnt get our ice cream til 9:42pm. We ordered a choco chip cookie dough blast, a large pb shake and a reeses blast. Along with the horrible wait, the girls that were making the food, I saw two out of three people, none were wearing gloves. One actually took whipped cream off the lid that had squeezed out and pushed it in the cup with her bare finger. She had a blue shirt on and a black suit jacket. The other two girls wore red tshirts. Then as u see my reeses blast had hardly any candy in it. Then the pb shake was all whipped cream the first 6 inches. None of our cups were filled and the bill was 14.70 for three products. I'm sorry but for the time we waited and then get all messy whipped cream smeared and ice cream covered cup and hardly any Ice cream or candy in the actual cups is uncalled for. Also the pb shake did not taste like anything. I worked in fast food. I'd be mad if they were my workers and or working for my company. We went today after taking our dog on a walk. They off an icecream for a treat with a doggie bone so we went to the walk up so the dog wouldn't make a mess. It was cold but we figured fast food and there wasn't much of a line in either the drive up or the car hops so wouldn't be too long.. About 15 mins later we fonally get our food then it was made wrong and we had to wait longer was not impressed seems like a long wait for fast food drive through is much faster when we go. On the plus note they do offer a free treat for fido when you go so if it was warmer would be a nice outting. read more

I'd never been to a sonic and I always wanted too. We waited a long time in the drive thru, finally got our food, pulled away and I checked our bag and it was some of what we ordered, but we were missing things. We pulled over and got our right food and apparently someone else's too? Got back to my boyfriend's place and started eating. We didn't order tator tots, but I tried them since we got them. They were ok, could've been cooked longer. My fried cheese could have been cooked more too. My popcorn chicken was so good. I'm picky and don't eat many things, but chicken is one and I really liked it. It seemed expensive too. The shake though, made me go back the next day. I got the cheesecake master and it was awesome. When we went back I got the strawberry cheesecake one and it was good, but the cheesecake master is a must try, if you like cheesecake. Two girl employees like running back and forth between the front and the bathroom doing god knows what. We asked specifically for A HAMBURGER plain and they said "no cheese?" Which we replied "no cheese just plain" burger comes out and yep has cheese on it. I mean what. We also ordered chili cheese fries and I wish I took a picture but only half of this container was filled and none were piled on top like they literally threw a small order into a large container but charged us for large. We got ocean water and they did something weird because it just tasted like perfume. I have always wanted to try Sonic. What a disappointment. We pulled up and reviewed the menu. It had everything you could want at a fast food place with a near the top of the fast food chain pricing. I went with the basic Sonic burger, onion rings combo. The good thing was the speaker/order taker was crystal clear and our three person order went off without a hitch. Order was to our car very fast. We passed around our selections and quickly started woofing it down. The various burgers we decide were hot, sloppy and just OK on a weird note we found the onion rings to be "sweet" YES "sweet" as in they used the batter for their waffle cones to fry their rings?? We really got hung up trying to figure out if they were meant to taste like that or if they goofed and just exactly how did they goof? I think at this point we would only go back to try their extremely tempting milkshakes, with names like peanut butter fudge, could they go wrong? read more

The other reviewer is obviously mentally challanged. How can one base the taste on an onion ring at a fast food joint that they've never been to before? Food is always hot, correct, and person on speaker is very clear. Only time I had issue is when they first opened this location which is understandable. Horrible experience. Went to sonic to experience it for the first time. When we pulled to the parking spot and started using the ordering machine we were told to pull up to the drive thru with no further explanation. We then walked up to the outdoor dining section answer went to order there. An employee then answered asking for the name of the order, we told it, but then we were greeted by an employee whom asked us what we had ordered. We told them that we hadn't even started ordering yet and asked why we couldn't order in the parking lot. They simply gave a smug look, shrugged and said I don't know I just worked here. We then promptly asked to speak to the manager. The manager came out seemingly wearing clothing that would not be to code and no name tag. We then asked why she had no name tag as we would've like to know whom we were speaking to, she refused to say why she didn't have one except for saying that she was the assistant manager, which didn't answer our question. When we asked why we couldn't order out in the parking lot she said that they were understaffed(which I can understand) but after being denied that answer earlier we asked well why didn't you all have a sigh outside the restaurant stating this. She then began to argue with us until we had enough and said we were leaving and writing a very negative review of our experience. The last words we heard her say were, "you should've gone to Hagerstown Sonic instead" UNBELIEVABLE! read more

The past few times we have went it's always been a mistake to our order with wrong food and we barely come to sonic. Been to many Sonics across the US. The food is very good but, the service at this one is so so. I have never gone to this Sonic and received my order right, it is always wrong. This visit the girl taking my order was short kurt and had a bit of an attitude like we were inconveniencing her by placing an order. Our order was deliver by a very pleasant and courteous young man on roller skates named Dustin, however the order was wrong. I order a #2 but received a #3 and specifically requested ketchup that was not in the bag. Fortunately for Sonic the food is good so I will continue to visit and take my chances. read more

Just returned from Sonic after picking up the food through the drive through. Most of the stuff was just fine but my sandwich, which was the toasted chicken, bacon sandwich which is supposed to come on toasted texas toast with bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo. Well it came on texas toast but if they call that toasted then someone better fix the toaster!! While they're fixing the toaster better fill the lettuce bin and check the cheese for full slices. I've purchased from this Sonic before only because the other's in my house love their burgers. Well they can continue the eat there if they like but as for myself, i'll be seeing you at Burger King. read more

This sonic is one of the better sonics I've been to, the location is large and spacious and the staff (most high school kids) are very friendly and bring your food out in a hurry. Have never had a bad order or experience, food always taste great as well, fantastic for some ice cream on a Friday night. read more

Service is always way to slow. Happy Hour is from 2-4p.m. in which our kids want to go for creamed slushies. They make them really good and price at this time fits my budget. My one child perfers to get the $1 dish of icecream. The icecream tastes really great. I only go during Happy Hour. read more
