I made an order online that included a resees blast. They didn't have resees and instead of contacting me to ask if I wanted it replaced they made something else without checking. I told them to give me a refund on the item instead. Instead I was told I needed to go through the application, then I was told by corporate my money wasn't enough to warrant getting it back. I asked to speak to a higher up and they said I would be contacted. I never was. Sonic is awful. They're criminals for refusing to give me my money back. We waited for about a month after Sonic opened. We went inside & stood there 20 minutes in front of a machine with someone in front of us. No one ever came out. The people in front of us never got to order, so we decided to go park in one of the lanes, but no one ever took our order so we left. Something is definitely wrong with this restaurant...not enough employees, not enough training? I don't know, but we will not be coming back. read more

I visited the new Sonic in Antelope on 9/20/25, and it was a terrible experience. I went through the drive-through with my baby (1 year old) and young son after soccer practice. The line stretched through the gas station, and I followed the cones as directed, making sure to keep space for cars to pass. Once in line, I realized there was no way to turn around or leave. It took over 30 minutes just to reach the intercom and another 30 minutes to pay and get food--more than an hour stuck in the drive-through. This is completely unacceptable. During this time, my baby became so upset from crying that I had to climb into the backseat to change her, and she ended up throwing up on herself. My son was starving after soccer, and what was supposed to be a quick treat turned into a nightmare. When I finally got close to the window, I asked to speak with someone. A manager (long hair, mustache) explained it was their third day being open and said they would "do better next time," but I never received an apology or any effort to make the situation right. Nothing was comped, and no offer was made for a future visit. I left feeling frustrated, upset, and shaken. This experience ruined our day, and I will not be returning. Very slow drive thru service -- It took us 1 hour and 32 minutes from getting in line to getting our order -- People were turning engines off -- Took about and average of 11 minutes before a car moved forward -- The person who took the order will ask for a bit of time before helping you. He came back and asked for our order after about 7 minutes 2. Incorrect order -- When we finally got to the window, the young lady with blonde dry frizzy hair opened the window and started off with "You got the 2 smasher", and I said "No. I have an online order but there weren't any stalls available to park at". She walked away and came back after about 4 minutes with the bag. -- The order was missing tater tots with chili, and my plain cheeseburger was NOT plain at all. Everything was on there (saw the messed up cheeseburger when I got home) She then proceeded to ask what our drinks were, and I said "Do you not see it on your end? It's an online order and you should have a copy of the receipt. She said "we don't see it on our end" That's wrong and stupid. How can an order not show on your end? So I said I had 3 combo order and enumerated them. She then said "I just need the drinks". So I got annoyed and raised my voice, and then she proceeded with "There's no need to yell, ma'am". So I told her "I waited for my food for almost an hour and a half and I just want to get my food and leave". That's when my husband jumped in and took charge of the conversation 3. Rude employee -- No apology from the get go for the long wait -- Unprofessional attitude 4. Not understaffed -- I would understand if they were understaffed, but there were 5 people walking around looking dumb doing nothing 5. Better System -- This needs to be focused on to better serve customers I'd rather drive longer and take my money in the Rocklin area and get my Sonic cravings there. I've had better interactions with staff who are not only nice, but friendly as well. I do not recommend this place until they get their workers and system together. Also, make sure that whoever runs the drive thru window is knowledgeable and professional in some way. She looked like a deer that's about to hit by a car who obviously looked like she didn't know what she was doing. Like it's her first day on the job. I have been to this location 4 times and every single time the wait was INSANE. Even when it appears that there is no wait, I have had to wait and I am not talking about a few minutes, im not talking about 10 or 15 minutes, I am talking about 30-60 minutes... for small orders like a burger, fries and a couple drinks... in some cases, just drinks! It seems like they only have 1 person running the show over there. I could hear the same kid, who delivers the food is also answering the speaker in the stalls to take orders. I was there for over an hour yesterday and for the entire time, I only saw 1 single worker - Jaydon. And even though he was busting hiss B*** trying to serve and take care of everyone, it simply wasn't enough- and no fault to him because that kid was trying his best and kept a smile on his face while doing so, but management really needs to get some more people working. The food is great, the menu is great but I can't keep wasting time waiting a ridiculous amount just for a drink and fries. And Jaydon, if you see this- your customer service skills are A+ and you definitely deserve to be working in a place that supports you better. I see a great future ahead for you! read more

Terrible, just absolutely terrible!!! Ordered a cheeseburger, it was smashed so flat it could have been a piece of paper. It was also soupy. Just a wet sloppy mess. Hubby ordered fries & chicken strips. The fries had obliviously been cooked then reheated. They were hard and tasted like the old grease they were fried in. I wanted a rainbow slushy and they told me I couldn't order that in a combo meal even tho it was the same price as a soda. Steer clear of this place. It's horrible! A side note to the manager. I've been waiting because I really wanted to give them a chance but it's time. Came on their first day, waited in the lobby for an hour and a half then finally asked for a refund but after waiting an hour and asking again for a refund, I didn't get my money or my food. Came again a couple weeks later and waited about 30 minutes in the drive thru and there wasn't a line. Came again a week later and waited another 30 minutes in their drive thru without a line. Here again and it's the same thing. It seems to me that they can only manage helping 1 person at a time. One of the worse experiences I have ever had at a fast food restaurant. I sat at the drive thru window for 10 minutes watching the cashier puck at and break off pieces if her acrylic nails straight over the wide opening of my shake, By time I got her attention and asked if that was my drink she said yes but it will be remade. When I told her that was disgusting that her nails are in my drink she got angry and asked why that was disgusting. Worst service ever! Ordered two American dogs without ketchup. What did i get? Two hotdogs that were covered in ketchup, so much so that it seemed spiteful. I also ordered cheddar peppers. I've been in line for 45 minutes...... cars move every 8 minutes or so..... whatever system they are running is horrible.... People were out of their cars about to throw hands because the drive thru line is not very clearly marked it's just a bunch of orange cones. We waited in the drive thru for approximately 30 minutes without even being able to place an order. We were told at the speaker to take our order it would be a minute which is fine but after several minutes we were told we had to pull forward to the window without taking our order. We were stuck in the drive thru because there was a car in front of us. Once we got to the window we were told that they can't take our order at the window because there are cars behind us and that if we wanted our order taken we could go to the back of the line. We spoke with the manager Ethin and said that his employee was the one that told us to pull forward in the first place. He told us that his employee said he did not say that. IT IS ON CAMERA! look, i'm a pretty chill person who's worked in the food service industry for longer than most of these kids have been alive so i'm usually laid back and willing to overlook glaring mistakes as they train, especially at new locations. I'm sick, so i decided to order online for pick up. Boyfriend gets there, there's no empty stalls so he goes inside, except there's no one to talk to, no one taking orders, just an automated machine. Finally he sees an employee and asks about our pick up order. they tell him, "you have to reorder on the kiosk". how does this make sense? it's already ordered and paid for and should be ready. So as he's texting me, I decide to call so i can speak to a human. The phone number listed on the official sonic website? A location in southern CA. And no other phone number. Oh, so they just don't want you to be able to speak to anyone, tight. while he's waiting in line, another person comes in to get their order, tells whoever is in the lobby their name and gets it right away, apparently you have to have a secret handshake and order for slot 6. at this point it's been a half hour. speaking to others in the lobby, NO one was happy. one person said they felt like they were in a saturday night live skit. I've worked at restaurants that weren't open yet, and have had to train with no customers only for opening day to be crazy. but nothing as glaringly terrible as this. and they've been open for longer than a week. this isn't an employee problem, this is a manager/owner/stupid policies problem. anyway, 30 years later we were able to find someone to cancel the order. don't think we'll be coming back, we just went to reliable ass taco bell. read more

Horrible we rang the bell in the inside lobby waited, and waited some more. After 10 to 15 minutes I was fed up. Stepped in front of the door whereupon I got the attention of a young man who introduced himself as the floor manager. I explained that we had been waiting for awhile additionally my nephew had to utilize the facility. An employee was sitting in the area and watched twice as he attempted to go to restroom never offered any assistance. Floor Mgr. Stated employee was on break and only spoke Spanish. I responded in our current environment that is the excuse you wish to give, really? Inside there is only one ordering machine, so the line gets really long, The person taking orders needs some training, they seem to not be able to hear very well, and a lot of peoples orders were wrong. The pay with debit card did not work, so they had to come out and use a portable machine to collect their payment. For starters, they won't or can't split orders in the drive thru. They also can't do split cash/card. The food tasted old or was burned or dried out. Burger orders were wrong with soggy buns. Mozzarella sticks were dried out and hard. Pretzel twists ere burned and old. Drinks weren't filled to the top. I'll be driving to the Roseville location as opposed to this new location until they get their act together, not to mention friendlier staff. read more
