My sister and I went into this shop tonight, as we do very frequently. We were waiting in line to pay and this man was yelling at the employee about how they don't take large bills (which most places don't because of fraud) I mean YELLING. She goes to call her boss to ask if they can make an exception and he starts handing his children the ice cream he had yet to pay for!! As if he was expecting her to just give it to him for free!! He then said "maybe you should have a sign" which she then says we do, and points to it. This man storms out and leaves his 5-6 kids there to go to the grocery store for change. Comes back and slams the money on the counter and continues to scream at this poor girl. My sister and I both asked her if she was ok and stayed in the parking lot watching until the man left with his children. I'm so glad she ended up handling the situation so well but JEEZ! Quiet location with a private shared parking lot. The interior is well kept and clean. Lots of vibrant colors on the wall, tables and chairs. Music is upbeat but not overwhelming. Frozen yogurt is self serve, be mindful if you have children as it's weighed by the oz. The toppings area was impressive with its cleanliness as the expectation would be messy but it was not. My family and I usually come here every week and we've always had an amazing experience with no issues. Today we came once again and I got the Dutch chocolate, it was awful. There was a lot of oil and I didn't realize because it was at the bottom under the other layers of yogurt I got. On the way home I started eating it and noticed the oil at the bottom and called OMG yogurt to let them know the situation. They offered for us to come back and get a different cup of yogurt and I explained we were already pretty far out as I live about 15 mins away and I would prefer a refund on yogurt that I won't be finishing. The lady was really rude and told me next time I need to check the yogurt after I put it in the cup and that the oil is edible anyways. I told her regardless if oil is edible it taste nasty. We just love the yogurt here. It is so good. We come probably twice a week. Last night we went and the girl told us we were two minutes late. She wouldn't let us get any yogurt. This place used to be much better but now that they changed the owner/name they are very cheap and stingy with the toppings. This is a medium with M&M's and animal cookies as you can see they only put about 8-9 M&M's and even less cookies plus the yogurt barely fills the bottom of the cup. I am a fan of OMG! Yogurt.. this one not so much. I have been to this fro-yo location several times. Parking is directly out front, sometimes difficult to get a spot close by with all the other businesses. The atmosphere is cool(literally) the interior paint is fun and the selection of flavors changes daily. I was really excited to see they had cake batter on deck! I always do that with chocolate, granola, graham cracker crust dust,peanut butter sauce and hard shell for toppings.. sometimes add pineapple flavored fro-yo with coconut shavings.. the concoctions are endless! On this visit, I carefully pulled the lever and a ton of fro-yo shot out. They make don't normally do that and I don't need a lot of one I'm getting a couple different flavors. Onto the next one and that one shot out too. I kinda dislike that and wondered if it was a way to get bigger sales. All I could think was.. my daughter went through here before me and I'm sure the same thing happened to her. We finished our creations and sat down inside to eat our desserts. Being a former cast member at Disney World, I was excited that a little piece of Disney was so close to home. It was just like Captain Cook's at the Polynesian Resort - the only place where you'll find self serve Dole Whips! It was about 106 in Roseville today "scorching hot" and it felt like a baking oven outside. I was looking for an yogurt place and OMG came up. As I walked in the place was neat and clean but no one inside except for the cashier. Now to the yogurt. I asked for a sampling cup and then i noticed that on each machine says "staff will get samples for you", I don't know about you guys but I've been to many yogurt places and never seen that. I was in the shopping center for Chinese food, when I spied this yogurt shop. I went inside and met a nice young lady, who offered to give me samples to try. I tried the European tart, and the peanut butter. Both were delicious so I got about 6 ounces of each. Glad I decided to try the peanut butter, since it doesn't come around too often apparently. $.60 per ounce... So I left with $7.20 worth of yogurt. No toppings necessary, nor were they desired. So many flavor to chose from but it is always changing ive been here more than once and ive seen birthday cake flavor ,red velvet, pineapple ,chocolate, mango, cheesecake, apple and strawberry just to name a few. The Husband, Stepdaughter and I came to OMG Yogurt on Fathers Day because she wanted to treat her Dad to something special given the day. I agree with other Yelpers that compared to other Yogurt shops the flavors here are limited, but they did have my favorite flavor (Cherry) so I had no problem finding one I liked. The Husband and Stepdaughter both got Pineapple which was very refreshing and also Vegan! They do Dole Pineapple Whips which I guess are a big thing at Disneyland and hard to find elsewhere? I don't remember them when I last went to Disney 15 years ago, but they might not have been invented yet. Who knows. The employees working were both friendly and we didn't have to wait long to start eating our yogurt. Seating is semi limited with only a few tables inside and one bench outside. Even though I'm not a big topping fan when it comes to yogurt, they do have plenty of topping and sauce selections to choose from. I went against my norm and chose a few chocolate covered mini marshmallows to add to my yogurt, but immediately regretted my decision because I could tell they were stale as soon as I bit in. Our OMG moment at OMG Yogurt. Due to my being in sales and recent health issues, I rarely am able to spend much time with my young son. Today was a mandatory check in on some lab work that was done recently. So as a surprise to my 6 yo, I picked him up at his school for what he calls a "Daddy Day" to spend some quality time. So when asked what he would like to do, he chose the one place we use to go together since he was a toddler and his mother and him still go often, OMG in Roseville. We have had nothing but wonderful customer service there and expected nothing different. Today, however was. Upon reaching the counter with our delicious yogurt, My son and his mother were ringing up theirs and I had a completed card that my son had and gifted to me to use for my yogurt. Brenda, however had a different idea. Brenda stated, since we came in together that she has to use the card for the smallest yogurt and that we cannot ring separately. That would of been the end of it, if rules are rules (a difference of $3). However, before I could even respond, she stated "if you have a problem with it, you can call our corporate number," then proceeded to crack a smug little smile. This caught me quite off-guard, being in sales myself and always getting great customer service here in the past. In respect to my son and our limited time together, I walked away and left a message later-on with the corporate number. I will not prevent my child from going to his favorite shop, especially one that he holds dear as the place him and his dad would go. But, I feel that this lapse in customer service should be noted. It is sad that one bad apple can hurt a business and others would simply choose to not return. I personally will not return without my sons urging, especially when our Father-son time is so precious and limited.
