Ordered my food ahead, checked in and sat and waited for everyone arrive after me get their food.. Granted they may have ordered their food ahead like I did and just happened to arrive moments later. But to watch someone order through the stall and his food delivered before me, is aggreativing. The ONLY reason I received my food because I had to yell out,"where is my food!?" My son bugged me all day to stop at Sonic to redeem his free slushy coupon he earned from school for good behavior only to be told that he had to redeem it at the Sonic where he got the coupon. The coupon has no location on it. After telling the manager that he received it from school she repeated the same thing. Way to crush a kids hopes. My visit to this particular Sonic location was great, our food was hot, fresh, and delicious, and the service was what one would expect from a fast food chain, All in all, I was happy. With that said if you're reading this you've probably noticed this location only has a two-star rating but I would like to mention that something I always do before writing a review is have it look at other people's reviews for that location to kind of gauge if my experience was similar to theirs or in some cases completely different. Right off the bat, I noticed this particular Location had quite a few negative reviews which didn't make sense at first because my experience was as I said earlier "great". upon further inspection I noticed most of the bad reviews and complaints stemmed from a much earlier time in the location's history, from what I could tell it was from about 2015 through 2021 but after that, the reviews were more positive leading me to believe there was probably a change in management or employees that have led to higher standards, service, and experience. I could be wrong and your experience may be completely different but I like to be as honest as possible and call them as I see them and it appears to me this location has made a turnaround for the better In the last couple of years. The food is as good as any fast food can be. The employees are incredibly rude. The drive up speaker doest work well and they blast music making ordering almost impossible. When I told them I could not hear them because of the loud music and terrible speaker the order taker got angry and yells then cut off the conversation before I was done with my order . The delivery person was equally rude. Then they tried to deliver the order a second time and got mad at me over their mistake . This behavior shows poor management. We quit going on Tuesday night for the burger special because they always try to charge you full price and you have to get them go back and correct it and by then your food is cold. I grew up loving to go to sonic and in recent years have been very disappointed at most establishments but my visit today gave me some hope at the forney location! All of the employees were hustling in the classic sonic way that car hops would. The intercom at my drive up spot did not work but an employee immediately came out to take my order and was very polite. My order came out quickly and with everything I asked for! Now, I don't expect sonic to have gourmet food, I get mozzarella sticks and a sonic blast so it's a very easy order but I actually got both my dipping sauces and even the peppermint in my bag. The drive-in girl was very friendly and did a good job. I go to Sonic for their drinks...most specifically the Diet Cherry Limeade! Good service, good drink, drive-in is kind of hard to maneuver around since the area is so small. I would recommend trying this Sonic location! What in the world is going on with the Sonic in Forney. I went through the drive thru @ 8am on a Sunday Morning. There was only 3 cars in the drive thru including mine & about 3 in the stalls. I just wanted a cup of ice (Very Simple). I waited & waited. Literallly after 5 minutes of sitting there with no response on the speaker, I said "Hello". I listened for another couple of minutes with no response so drove off. I decided to pull into a stall just for a cup of ice. I was able to place my order for a cup of ice. After 10 minutes of sitting there waiting for just for a cup of ice. I said "screw it" and left. I don't know who owns the Sonic in Forney & who manages it. Usually look forward to going to Sonic these days since we seldom go anywhere. Tonight I ordered the new cheesesteak sandwich which was a mistake. Not good. Dry meat - no juice at all, meat didn't fill up the footling bun, only saw a few onion pieces, cheese was sparse. The tots on top were ok and the bun was ok, but not as fresh as I've had on the coneys. Didn't even finish it and I'm not super picky with fast food. Nice Sonic. Not sure of why only 2 stars. I asked for half sweet half unsweet tea with lots of ice and lemon and got what I asked for. Got a sandwich and it was hot and good. Fast service in the drive thru. I can't complain about this place everything was good and pleasant staff. I was traveling so not sure if this Sonic will be in my life again but it is conveniently located right off the highway and easy to get back on the highway. My husband and I have gone to this location for years and have never had issues with service or food, BUT today we went through the drive thru and witnessed a carhop drink out of a cup, half ass rinse it off, then put it back to be given to customers. 90% of the time, the order is wrong. 100% of the time you will have to repeat the order 72 times. You could ask for a corn dog and they'll bring you 5 Cokes, and assume you're the one that's wrong. It's great. read more

First off I love Sonic this is my 3rd visit in 3 days if that tells you anything (1st time to this one). It took about a minute after I pushed the button, a little long but no big deal. I got a jr deluxe burger no mayo and mustard with extra pickles a Coke and a small glass of ice. I checked my burger cause the reviews say food never right, mine was perfect. Lots of pickles and mustard, hot and good. Car hop was a teenage guy in roller skates, he was nice and smiling and ask if I needed strawl for my ice. He was a nice polite young man.
