The fries were good but the meat on the sandwich was overcooked and super chewy but dry. My sidekick had the fish and fries and some kind of soup. The fish pieces were a generous portion with light breading. It was a quick stop and the staff was friendly so that was a bright spot. The decor had that fun old school diner/cafe vibe one would expect out on The Mother Road.

Usually Grandpa's Grill is good, I ordered the BBQ ribs special, the baked potato was gross, ribs sucked

Luckily I was able to direct him to a diner down the street that was open. When I looked online, it appeared to be open with reviews from people within the last few months. But when I looked at the reviews "not recommended", I saw that a few people had the same issue. Not sure if it's permanently closed or if they are no longer open on Saturdays.

We did meet others who said they frequent but knowing true Mexican food, it's a no go for me. Service was ok. Ambiance Diner feel.
