How hard is it to take an order, repeat it back twice, yet still get the order wrong and missing items???

I know Tuesday nights are probably CRAZZZZY for y'all, but you could have at least TRIED. There is no point paying the priority fee to Uber eats, to get our food early, if it already sat under YOUR HEAT LAMPS for an hour before the driver picked it up? I bought two items of food for each person in my family, and we are ALL still starving. The LARGE FRITO WRAPS did not even have as much food portion as the JR WRAP! Obviously the swap station was almost out of chili, so they just scraped whatever dried, inedible brown mess from the bottom of the par and put it on a stale tortilla, with (and I actually counted) 10 FRITOS, AND NO CHEESE. The fried pickles were INEDIBLE. Greasy fried crunchy coating, falling off of dehydrated slivers of pickle skin. Not surprised though. Every Sonic goes the same route after opening: *First 6 Months: Excellent service, fast prep, quality food. *Next 18 Months: Owner takes workers for granted so doesn't give raises, so employees become disenfranchised and quality of service wains. Food quality QUICKLY becomes ABYSMAL. *FINAL 24 MONTHS: People merely come to terrible location when they are drunk or pregnant. Location closes. New location opens. *RINSE AND REPEAT. read more

This Sonic has proven time and time again that they are the best around. Oddly enough, this location never messes up our order. (Knock on wood) Their food always comes out fresh and prompt which is another brownie point for them because some locations just take way too long. Wether we order on location or via the app I am assured the proper items. read more

I have been going to Sonic since 1983. I worked at a Sonic in 1985. Moved to AZ for 20+ years and Sonic was a go to for a quick and tasty meal and a Cherry Limeade when it was 115 degrees out. Moved back to Texas and was delighted Sonic was still a thing. After having been to 4-5 different Sonics my memories were smashed. Smashed as much as the burgers from the Hutto location. I almost had a Michael Douglas "Falling Down" Whammy Burger incident as the burger was a smashed sad looking imitation of what was advertised. Fries were as old as Moses. The Cherry Limeade was 2 nano grams of Cherry and lime and 44oz of soda water. I ordered two and both were the same. I asked for a redo and literally received the same thing. Employees are hard to find these days for "reasons" but clearly the local Sonics attract those not smart enough to collect unemployment. The Hutto Sonic takes the rest. Push the red button and you are greeted with "mmdndnndn Sonic can I tdjnebdb your order" in a muffled bored voice at 12db. Uninterested employees are managed by disinterested managers and inattentive owners. I can tell which Sonics are owned by the same person/group....OR....they are all mismanaged in the same way. I have since moved on to make my own Cherry Limeades at home. The other Sonic priced have increased so much that it is clearly not worth the money for the value. Is this Sonic's fault? It's the current rate of inflation. But the value is so low the prices would have to be at 1/5 their current levels to attract me back. Since that won't happen...RIP Sonic. I rarely leave reviews for places. But this deserves something special. (Downloaded the yelp app just to do this) I went to get my wife a strawberry shake and I took my dog on a birthday ride, She just turned two today. Anyways, when I got the shake the carhop asked if I wanted a milk bone for my dog. She went back inside and a minute later she came back with a whip cream and caramel milk bone shake. Their Customer Service is pretty decent. Unfortunately I've had more bad interactions here than good ones. Today I ordered the BBQ Jumbo popcorn Chicken & as you can see, there's almost no sauce at all. I've given this place a lot of chances, since I grew up with this franchise. Tonight we ordered one burger meal, two chicken slinger meals and a few other things. Our order was $33 total. The lady taking our order was polite and seemed to have it correct. It took a while to come out. Unfortunately we got home and realized we paid for slingers, but did not receive them. I drove back and got them, the manager was very nice and made them fresh. I would like to start off with all of this can be validated via my dash Cam. I pulled into the local Sonic at 5:28 PM, pushed the red button and ordered a BAG OF ICE. The person on the intercom repeated my order and I clearly state just a bag of ice is all I ordered. As I waited I watched car after car pull through the drive-thru and noted that the two stalls to my right and left were empty as I ordered. I sat there and watched two vehicles pull in and out of the handicapped stall to my left and of the other stall to my right. Approximately 15 minutes past when I stopped a young man named Tre to ask about the amount of time it is taking for me to get a bag of ice he stated that he would go in and take care of it. I told him know that I had seen vehicle after vehicle come and go all with food orders and that I didn't understand why it was taking so long for my order. As he walked away he offered some complimentary drink tokens for the inconvenience. When he came back with my change he offered me the two tokens and I tipped him and told him that I didn't need them and to give them to someone else and I backed out of my stall. As I drove towards the end of the parking lot to turn left and exit I saw a manager standing there in a gray shirt, she gave her name as HANNAH, talking to two other uniformed employees. One, JONAH, was wearing a red polo shirt and the other had glasses and was wearing a short sleeve button down red shirt. I stopped and rolled down my window with the intent of explaining that it had taken me 15 minutes to get a bag of ice and I was going to follow up with recognizing Tre because he had served me before and had even come out to take my order personally on a previous visit because the intercom system was broken and he couldn't hear me trying to place my order. Before I could even get to that point Hannah replied "I'm on a break." I persisted and trying to get her attention and she kept replying "I am on a break." I addressed the THREE employees that were standing there now and I told them that this was not a good example of leadership and to do not follow her lead. At that point Jonah replied quote "dude, she's on a break." The shorter individual repeated the same thing and followed it up with something else that I couldn't here clearly. I addressed them and told them that I was speaking to the manager and she repeated her statement "I'm on a break." Jonah took over the conversation at that point and told me that she didn't have to talk to me. The short guy said something again but not loud enough for me to hear and I asked him if he had something to say and he shut down. At this point JONAH turned away and said VERY CLEARLY "fuck outta here" as he walked away. I asked all the employees within earshot, including HANNAH what he said and they all stated they didn't hear anything. He turned and walked back towards the group, at this point probably six or seven red shirts which one young said were ALL on a break, and I asked him "Did you just say fuck?" and he said, "Yeah, I said FUCK." Another young lady in a red shirt that had missed the initial interaction asked me what was going on stated that ALL of them were on a break. Yet another young lady in a red shirt came out to join in and I recognized her from my last visit there when I tipped her $5 for a bag of ice, a RT 44 lemonade and a gallon of tea. I thanked her for her service and told her I appreciated her and all the others for enduring this hot weather. She recognized me and smiled and started to say something and that was when JONAH nudged her with his elbow and said to her, "No, no, no, don't say anthing to this punk bitch." THIS is when I got out of my truck and walked towards him asking him if he had just called me a bitch and he turned and walked away towards the on-duty manager. I asked her if she was the on-duty manager and she said yes and told me I had to leave the premises. Told her that JONAH had just used the "F word" at me and called me a punk bitch. I looked at her name tag and it was turned around backwards or covered so I asked her for her name but she refused to give it to me. She told me again to leave the property and that was when ANOTHER red shirt came in behind her and muttered something so I asked him to repeat it and he told me I had to leave the lot. I did and THAT IS THE LAST TIME I WILL EVER SPEND ANOTHER PENNY AT ANY SONIC... EVER. I contacted corporate less than 30 minutes later and reported the incident. I have yet to hear anything back. SONIC DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. read more

By far the worst fast food I have ever eaten. Or not eaten. I added the mayo in the picture because it was missing. The chicken was burnt. My bun was completely burnt. The hotdogs for my kids must have over boiled. Just a sad amount of effort. If I owned this franchise I would be all over the staff for allowing such poor quality go out the door. read more

I have been underwhelmed the last time I brought my nieces here and we ordered food. When I found out last week that this chain has an order ahead app, I was excited. I was craving a strawberry limeade so why not try it out. While browsing the app I noticed that there was an offer for a free Classic Sonic Slinger if you try the order ahead option. I definitely took advantage of that. We got there and it was easy to check in and indicate which stall we were at. My order came out and the slinger was surprisingly really good. It's like a slider on a brioche bun. Yum! The strawberry limeade was good as expected. I was craving something sweet so I ordered a mini Reese's Peanut Butter cup blast with strawberries. I wouldn't have know about being able to add strawberries if it wasn't for the app. read more

Has happened to me before. Seems like they forgot my order. Othe vehicles getting their food and leaving. The screen status had already gone passed the "on its way" status, and still no food. I was about to push the button when it finally showed up. As I drove out, I snagged a tater tot...it was cold. Got a cheese stick......cold. I could have gone back but didn't want to have to wait again. Got home and tasted my limeade. It tasted like club soda on ice. I don't recommend them. Have had problems with them before. I want to write this about a visit to the sonic in Hutto. Not very happy with them.. My order was incomplete, incorrect, and cold. I did not get my LG Mozzerela Sticks. The number one with cheese and no onions, had no lettuce, or tomatoes or pickles! It did have onions though!! Everything was cold because I didn't get my food for almost 30 minutes (8:25 to 8:53). I had to hit the red button again for status on my food. Twice actually because the first time no one answered. When she finally answered she did apologize...and then asked what name the order was under. I ordered from a station. She did say she was sorry about the delay, but that doesn't explain why other people came and left while I was still waiting. Not happy at all with the service. Oh and as a little icing on the cake, the ice cream machine(s) were out. I generally like sonic....but will go to Round Rock or Pflugerville locations from here on out. read more

I am still sitting in my car at the front of the drive through line. Multiple cars have got their orders already. I have been asked if a certain order is mine twice. Served Rotten Food. This is the first time this has ever happened to me I was served a Country Fried Chicken Sandwich with rotten lettuce on it. The Lettuce was dark green and slimy it looked gross and there was no tomato on my sandwich as well. I called the Sonic to let them know to check the lettuce I talked with Fey if that was his real name. Oh guess what the manager just left and would not be back until Monday, really I told him what happen and he said that it was me and that there lettuce was fine. That was all he said just that. did not say he was sorry for my bad experience or anything. Would not give me the Sonic managers name and would not give me any other person to talk to. I call the 866 Sonic Customer service line and told them about what happen. I am supposed to get a call in two or three business day from upper management. We will see if that happens. I also called the Williamson County Health Department and put in a formal complaint with them. read more

As far as bad service goes at Sonic, this one wins the battle. Three cars in the lot and we're given excuses as to how busy they are. Two drinks (sweet tea and diet cherry Sprite) took at least 15 minutes. Ordered on the app and let them know when we arrived...after a while the order disappeared from the screen. I pressed the button and asked where our order was We were told our order was heading out the door. The carhop exited the kitchen with another car's order, then returned to the kitchen only to come out again with ANOTHER car's order. This location is terrible service. We waited over 30 minutes for 2 drinks. They asked what stall we were in while ordering. The screen showed drinks out for delivery but never showed. When we hit the button to ask if they forgot us the guy said of course not they will be right out. After all was said and done they came out with the wrong drinks. read more

They didn't know which drink was which. Mine tasted like pure carbonated water with no flavor. We were one of only two cars there so they were not even busy. read more

I don't usually review fast food. I mean...it's fast food...you pretty much know what to expect. Mediocre food (at best), crappy high school teen service, and no one giving a damn about anything. Right? Yup. Same can be said about Hutto Sonic. Wait...back up... I said "Same can be said about Hutto Sonic" and yet...there...are 4 Stars on my rating???? Again, Yup. What the...how the...huh???? Simple. Management. We had our usual troubles this evening - 4 trips to our car to get our order right - a wait of over 20 minutes - blah, blah, blah... BUT - The manager on duty was kind enough to come out, apologize for the delay and all the issues...and...wait for it...had a GENUINE smile on his face and seemed to genuinely care. Seriously. He explained the new crew situation, a manager wouldn't come in...some of the normal blah, blah, blah that is almost always involved. Except this time there was a lot of believability to it. The young kid who kept having to bring our food to us was clearly frustrated and confused (but NOT ONCE did he come across as frustrated with US - more so his co-workers). The MANAGEMENT can make or break a fast food location...and I'm hopeful that we in Hutto have one that will continue his trend of seeming to care and show understanding. We will be back...for our mediocre food, crappy high school teen service, and we will be doing it with a smile. All thanks to the great manager on duty. Well, Sonic has finally made their food inedible! I have had their food off and on over the years. Expectations are never that high but it's always delivered good, junky comfort food. It may just be this location on Hwy 79 in Hutto TX, but I couldn't eat any of it. The mozzarella sticks actually smelled of the oil they were fried in. Even worse they tasted like bad oil. Awful! Threw them out. Next I had higher hopes for the chili cheese coney. It tasted like someone had poured salt all over it. Absolutely could not take another bite it was so overwhelmingly salty. Very weird. Good news! The peach slushie was excellent! But don't hold a candle to Dutch Bros peach smoothie. I know it's just fast food and it isn't good for me. Most of the time this is a pretty good Sonic. Car Hops are generally fast and friendly. But they shouldn't assume they get a tip with every order. IF I want to give a tip that's my prerogative but don't ASSUME you get one especially when what I bought was only about $1 and you're trying to keep a tip that is about $1. NO ONE gives a 100% tip. read more

Ugh this is probably the worst Sonic we've ever been to and it's the only one in Hutto. Service always takes an excruciatingly long time for even just drinks. The times we've gotten food, one of us always gets sick. We decided to only get drinks after the last food incident. The drinks take between 15-30 mins for two... We called the store after the last visit (30 mins on the nose for 2 sprites). The manager was very kind and apologetic and clearly had a long night. He confirmed my belief that this place is understaffed and just staffed by bad people who don't always show up for work :( I write this review now because despite the last visit being refunded and the manager offering to buy our next meal, every visit prior has always taken a ridiculous amount of time. They have us excited coupons one time for the long wait :/ This sonic needs some solid staffing. Good luck! read more
