Food is good, hot and tasty. Service is friendly and attitude free unlike so many other fast food places in town.

Hands down, this Sonic is the very worst Sonic I have ever been to. I've been to some in Long Island And in New Jersey plus many other states and I'm amazed that this place is still open. First of all, this is the only one I've been to where the staff don't come out to the order ports with skates on. But once you get the service they have to offer it all makes sense. Look the best thing I can say is they are not always rude and the food is not always bad I guess. I won't be back and I suggest you don't either. read more

I love sonic. But this one really messed up every single food item, plus the drinks were all just the clear carbonation mix, no actual drink flavoring. I couldn't even drink my cherry limeade. I was super excited to eat here. That excitement died out due to the terrible food and even worse customer service. When the waitress came out with our food. She was in a rush. Waitress told us there were napkins in our bag. Turned out there was none. My husband had to go to the cashier to get some. Employees were not very friendly. I agree with other Yelpers. If things do not improve at this Sonic. They shall be out of business very soon. I have absolutely no interest in eating here ever again. I love sonic, they have a huge variety of quick food to eat. The corn dogs are tasty and perfect for on the go. The blizzards are the best.

Absolutely horrible!! All I asked for was a hot fudge Sunday. It's a little before 9 on a Monday and there was no line. I had to wait at least 15 minutes to get my order and they managed to mess it up. When I went inside to have it resolved the staff seemed like they didn't care and the manager on duty seemed like they didn't want to be bothered! Needless to say I asked for a refund. We ordered boneless chicken wings, and popcorn chicken. Both were processed frozen chicken pieces, that tasted either freezer burnt or microwaved. Shakes weren't good either. Ice cream tasted cheap, and the brownie pieces were tough to chew. There was a guy pressure washing right next to the drive thru, so it was hard to order/hear. If you value your time, stay away! Only reason I stayed was because I paid already. Absolutely ridiculous how long the wait was... when I pushed the red button to say I was still waiting, they asked to take my order. When I said I was still waiting they said ok. My family and me went to sonic for shakes they were great but the banana and strawberry shakes banana slices were to big to get in the straw

I was excited to take the kids to sonic for the first time. This was the worst fast food I have ever had!! It was so bad this kids did not even want to finish their meals.....that was a first for them usually kids enjoy all fast food. The food was cold ! My daughters grilled cheese looked like it was not freshly made bread was soft and cold, and the onion rings were chewy and cold. Disgusting food! Waste of our time and money! I went there to get a crispy chicken sandwich. I got the crispy but not the chicken (meat). That thing could break in half like a cracker and the inside of it was brown. The worst part is that I had to wait five minutes for this so called "fresh chicken" that turned out to be a nightmare. I Went to this Sonics location recently with my girlfriend. I had been to location once or twice at a location in New Jersey but only did drive thru. We stopped in and ordered lunch. I got the grilled chicken sandwich on ciabatta bread with tater tots and my girlfriend ordered corn dog, grilled cheese and mozzarella sticks. Food was delicious and the workers were very nice. Food came out pretty quickly which I was happy about being that a lot of fast food places aren't fast. I def recommend the chicken sandwich, corn dog and mozzarella sticks! I look forward to coming back to try a burger. read more

Grilled chicken on ciabatta is excellent. Best fast food chicken around, fresh and flavorful. Family size popcorn chicken is huge and a good value. The shakes are very good. Burgers are pretty good. Corn dogs are a hit. Slushies are always a favorite. Cheesesteak is surprisingly good. Breakfast burrito is well made. Sometimes order isn't right but they fix mistakes. Most servers have been friendly and helpful. We are happy to have a sonic here. read more

Horrible service and food. The wait time is ridiculous. My orders are always wrong and food is cold. And it wasn't even busy. When you eat in, there's no one in the front to greet you when you come in. Staff is in the back and you have to press a button on the counter to get service. Rather travel to Newburgh when I crave Sonic again. Lost my business! read more

Today, we stopped and ordered food at the Sonic Drive-In Middletown, NY. It was lunchtime so the food should have been hot. We got Coke that had a terrible after taste, a hamburger roll that was stale, french fries and tater tots that were almost cold, popcorn chicken that was hard and cold, and the boneless wings were barely warm. Went with a Groupon, they would not accept it. Said it had to be printed even though on Groupon said they would use app. So I ended up spending money. The owner should change instructions on groupon site. It was also dirty on the inside of restaurant. On the bright side the people who worked there were nice. Took my son here to get a milk shake on line for 30 mins literally !! I walk up to the drive through window to ask what's going on I get greeted by a screaming girl who is at least 15 manager comes out yelling at me the stating that it was only 10 mins ... I had received a phone call at the same time as placing the price order and showed the manager the time explaining the my child's mother was across the street waiting for the kid .. never again will I come here hopefully They find qualified manager and staff to run this restaurant because this situation could of be handled way differently a simple "sorry we are very busy " would of worked just fine but I guess that's what happen when you hire a privileged child to work a fast food restaurant ! This Sonic is inattentive to customers. They contracted out coupons to local flavor and then would not accept them on my phone. There is no notation on the coupon that this would not be acceptable. Even after paying cash for my meal, the sevice took forever. Very disapointed. read more

Stopped by on lunch break for a quick meal with my coworker. Ordered at 130pm and at 155pm, we went inside to ask for food since no one came to the car station. At 205pm, the food came out to us and we drove off. Later we discovered that we did not receive what we ordered and now realize that poor service was the reason why other cars left. One car backed up and went to the "drive up" window and was yelling and then screeching brakes. The Sonic at Newburgh (Rt 300) is great but this place sucks. Horrible service!!! My mom and I came to get drinks during happy hour. There was a long line at the drive in so we decided to use one of the car hop stations. After pressing the button and waiting 10 minutes, no one responded. My mom then walked inside and pressed the button for service. No response again. Finally, with no one left in the drive in line, we pull up through and an employee immediately asks for our order?! What?!?! 2x this week, ive tried to order a chili cheese dog and a meal for my son. the first time, the girl who took my order made me repeat it 3 times. and they still DIDN"T include it with the order. tonight I tried to order same meals. again I had to repeat myself several times. when I stated that it really shouldn't be that hard to order 2 meals, I was annoyed...and showed it. when I got to the window, I got a lecture from someone claiming to be a manager, instead of food. 2 MAJOR fails in one week???
