Horrific experience. As a resident of Warwick for many years, G's has sat in town for quite some time with a repetitive history of ownership changes & closures the past few years. I assure you, there's a reason they continuously change management & owners every few years (P.S. It doesn't get better). Irrelevant to my visit, however public record shows that in a most recent inspection, G's received a critical (red) violation for Item 4A, Toxic chemicals being improperly labeled, stored, or used in a way that can contaminate food. Critical (red) violations such as these are issues that inspectors claim will likely cause food-borne illness/contamination. Anywho, back to my experience: A couple months back, we were very excited to try the new diner, with high expectations & a glimpse of hope for another remarkable, classic diner right in the heart of Warwick, boy could I have been more disappointed. When we first arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome at the door, which is the highlight of my visit. I initially noticed before walking in, it was easy to see there was a significant lack of foot traffic, which was confusing for a new restaurant around dinner time. Despite this, we were seated & brought menus, and ordered around 8 or so minutes later. I ordered the grilled salmon, while my mom ordered a burger of some sort. We also got an order of fries. While waiting patiently for our food, I noticed our waiter seemed a little stressed, and then I noticed there were staff standing in the open on their phones, yet I thought nothing of it considering they could've been on break. The real horror comes after the food is brought over. The grilled salmon was fine, and the burger was okay, the fries were revolting. Incredibly greasy, somewhat soft and mushy, and I'm confident that the oil used was expired. Shortly after this visit, I was sick. Which doesn't surprise me. Don't let any of the 5, 4, or even 3 star reviews fool you, this restaurant is not worth it. Country Dream, Fannie's, Greenview Tavern, Cracked Pot, all these are better alternatives, look elsewhere from G's people! Never returning. read more

We ended up stopping in here for lunch on a whim and we're glad we did. The food was tasty and the atmosphere was very "local diner"... casual and comfortable. We enjoyed our lunch very much and it was a good start to visiting this town we had never been to. read more

We were having trouble finding food in town (everywhere is small or needs reservations) and we found the diner. Food was delicious and came out fast. I had lox benedict with home fries and a cold brew. This diner doesn't look like your average diner, it fits the cozy town. The booths are comfortable, but not too spacious. Our group of 6 got a big space so they can accommodate that if you need it. Service was great, the food came out fast but the actual servers were not around much (when they were around they did a great job and made sure everyone was happy) I can't blame them though, it is so busy (and that's a good sign). I do recommend they check on the bathrooms better, It was dirty and there was no toilet paper. read more

Excellent experience! Quick service! And delicious food! We got a omelette served with home fried potatoes and toast. A triple bypass skillet AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS AND FILLING! Will definitely come for the skillets again! And some chocolate chip pancakes, very good but wish there were more chip inside. The staff are so friendly and I like the big open environment. We are in Warwick exploring the area and found this diner. The waitress Jess was wonderful, attentive and friendly. I enjoyed a basic French toast with eggs over easy and bacon. Figured I'd keep it simple since I didn't know what to expect. I truly enjoyed everything they served me. Especially since the server was so nice and professional. Just what you expect from a place you stop in for a meal. The place is big with plenty of street parking. They play some nice music and the environment is great and friendly. The service was extremely slow. It was not busy when we went but it took nearly ten minutes before a server came to us. I ordered a latte which was cold when I wanted hot and it was the nastiest thing I have tasted in recent history. Also, ordered the dressing for my panini to be on the side but it never came and the server did not check on us so I could not ask for it. The blueberry pancakes had a few blueberries. This morning's breakfast was at G's Warwick Diner on Main Street in downtown Warwick. This family friendly restaurant, recently reopened with new owners, offers classic American Diner fare at prices not unusual for this tourist destination (i.e. a little higher than you might expect). Service was efficient and very friendly. The food was well prepared and presented in a no-nonsense fashion. The coffee was hot, good, and bottomless! You just can't beat the value here! Great place for a bacon cheeseburger and fries. The wings are always nice and crispy. The prices are very affordable, it's clean, and family friendly. I haven't been here since the previous owners so I was unsure of what to expect. A good friend told us this is her go to spot so we went back. I could not be happier with the service, the quality of the food and PRICE of the food for this area. We were blown away at how affordable the dishes were. When we go to local diners and request fruit cup instead of potatoes, we can tell the fruits come from a packaged jar/container. At G's the fruit cup was all fresh and super duper yummy. The coffee is absolutely delicious but is pricey at $3/ cup, But you get unlimited refills. Everything else was priced low. Had lunch with my wife here today, BIG MISTAKE. My wife ordered a hamburger & I ordered a turkey wrap. The place was not crowded, but t took over a half hour to make these two meals. My wife said her hamburger was okay, she was lucky. I was under the assumption that since it was Thanksgiving weekend, that it was real turkey but it was turkey roll. That would be bad enough , but the turkey was absolutely tasteless. There was not seasoning on the food, not even salt or pepper. Something to make you think you were eating food. Of all the things to "save money" this restaurant has decided (maybe under new ownerhsip or something) that the slices of cake should be communion wafer thin. I am not kidding you, I literally thought my friend asked the waiter to cut one slice in two. But then nature called and on my way to the restroom I actually saw the cake display in which INDEED showed a single normal size cake split in an unusual high number of slices. I am sure the economics of a) geting now 19 slices per cake will vs b) clients lost (I am certainly not driving again for a communion wafer) would yield a great result. Advise to the aparent new management: a) If you are going to try to save money, DON'T DO IT by scamming customers on the size of the slice of cake. b) The men's restroom door is a trap, it doesn't open. p.s. I am on a perma-low carb diet, so I am not some gluton that needs to eat half a cake, so when I am telling you that slice was ridiculous, take my word for it. read more

Hollandaise sauce was tepid and broken. Poached eggs were undercooked, watery with runny whites. Spinach and tomato barely heated. English muffin was soaked in the runoff. Right smack in the middle of town. A nice place to sit and eat with the family. They have a lot of sitting area. As well as a large menu. American style cuisine. They also have a nice bar area. Which has a more adult feel. If your looking to have an adult beverage or watch a sporting advent on the TVs. I've been a patron there for many years. Felt I should give them a review. Here list a few of my favorite items on the menu. The Panini Milano with curly fries is my go too. It Vegetarian dish. The steak Gorgonzola is always good.
