I guess to sonic a little around night time because I just finished picking up my son from his basketball game and he was very hungry and I said to him do you want a burger so we went to go get sonic. sonic was very good I really liked the burger and the french fries the french fries had like a good taste of salt and my son he dropped his burger on the ground and then the waiter gave him a new one because the waiter felt bad that we just spent about nine dollars for a burger and my son his clumsy just dropped it . And then the restaurant was pretty clean I actually like it it was very nice. The price was pretty good even though my french fry was a little on the salty side but that's OK because I like them like that. They deserve zero stars. They're incompetent and have horrible customer service. I placed a mobile order. It was supposed to be ready at 7:33 pm. I waited for almost 30 minutes for my food in the mobile order car hop. No one came out. I tried calling and no one answered. I had to get into the drive thru and wait and by the time I got to the window they said they didn't have my order. By this time it's over 30 minutes and I'm late to where I was going. I told them to just cancel my order because I'm late and don't have time for them make it. Plus I need my refund. They couldn't tell me how to get my refund. They just said it's in the app. I don't see anything in the app. I went in the website and used their SMS to message them. I filled out all these prompts and they claimed I would be contacted by a live representative but the wait time was a hour. Why in the world would it take that long? If I could give negative stars I would. This Sonic may be the worst ran business I have ever been to. Unfortunately, my son likes going there and I cave every once in a while. However, it has become a running game when we decide to go there. We all bet on how horrible the service is before we go. This time we arrived at this Sonic at 8:40pm and they close at 9:00pm. They must be under new management because I had the opposite experience from past yelpers. I ordered the New York hotdog, chili cheese tots and a shake to start. Everything tasted good and exactly as I expected. The shake was a bit thick so it was hard to drink but I should've asked for it to be lighter. I then ordered the fried Oreos and ocean water drink and both were exactly to my liking especially since the dipping sauce was a scoop of ice cream :) Food came out within a reasonable time. Worst service of any restaurant. Do not use the drive in stalls. 3 times I went here, 3 times the order taker asked me to wait and never came back to the order (while other new cars came and got their order after I arrived). However if you walk in, you have a much faster and greater chance of having someone come take your order (especially if you walk around the counter and snoop at the register screen). If it wasn't for my kids begging to come get ice cream drinks, I would never subject myself to the horrible service. I've finally tried sonic! This is such a great place, its new, opened up about a month ago or so. The staff was super cool, they're very friendly. I ordered a kids meal because I wanted something small. I had a corn dog & 5pc mozzarella sticks along with a chocolate banana milkshake. The corn dog was soo good! I am a huge fan of corn dogs & this one was fried to perfection, crispy & golden. The mozzarella sticks were super cheesy & you can't forget your marinara sauce to go along with em'. The milkshake was great, I now believe the hype about their crazy milkshakes. It was thick and had bananas and chocolate and it tasted amazing. I'm so glad Middletown finally got a sonic. Can't wait to come back to try more things on their menu now that I've tried it :) read more

The food at this place is okay for the most part. The main problem I have with this restaurant is that the service is too damn slow. It took me 25+ minutes to get a chicken tender dinner from this place. That's just ridiculous. When I finally got my order. I checked inside the box and tried one of the tater tots. It was cold and tasted like it had been left outside for days. The chicken was okay, but the onion ring was also cold, so I threw that away. The toast was okay. Wish they had some vegetarian dinner options, there's only a few appetizers we can eat and absolutely nothing for a main course. That being said, the mozzarella sticks are the best and cheapest you'll find and the tater tots are pretty good. Gotta try some of their frozen drinks sometime, but we always end up getting a blast because they're so good. The area you can park and eat in is so overly lit that it's unpleasant to eat there. I went to this Sonic on a Saturday afternoon. When we went into the restaurant there was nobody at the register - that should have been our first sign to leave. It was about 20 minutes before we even got to place our order and another 40 minutes before we got our food (only after speaking to a manager who seemed to have no record of our order). There were only 3 people working that day and the drive thru was full, along with all of the stalls. People only got their food if they came inside and complained to the manager, so there was a growing group of disgruntled patrons assembling in the lobby. We would have left except we figured it would be a huge hassle to get our money back. I have never seen such bad management - how does someone decide not to staff their restaurant? How do they stay in business? I felt bad for the employees because all they get is stress and complaints due to no fault of their own. I can only imagine how high their employee turnover must be.
