Old fries/ zero to no food, when I called the lady on the phone she hung up at first until I called back again and when I did call back again they stated they were too busy to assist me with my incorrect order. Today sat in drive through 4th car in line, no other cars in stalls, 5 minutes I just drove off after zero movement. Went to Whataburger and got my shake there. AHHH HIIIII!!!! (said enthusiastically, with a little bit of jazz ). My companion and I pulled up to the Sonic Drive-In in Nacogdoches, TX, on a calm luh Tuesday night at approximately 7:18 p.m. We pressed that big red button -- the one that reminded me of my companion's cherries she ate the other day -- not knowing that we were about to order more than shakes... we were about to order attitude. When we placed our order, we didn't just get two shakes -- we got a side of hostility. That wasn't no milkshake, but it sure made me shake in my boots. The attitude was so big, I swear our car tilted sideways. That was the first red flag. As we patiently waited for our strawberry cheesecake and cookie dough shakes, the anxiety started building. We could feel the bad energy from behind the big red button. Then... she emerged. She strutted out wearing Adidas sweatpants -- and honestly, that explained everything. She stomped to the car like she was marching in a protest against happiness. Handed me my drink of choice, I handed her my form of payment, and without a single word, she snatched the money and ran like she'd just robbed a Sonic vault. But then, out of nowhere, an angel appeared. Another worker came out -- smiling, sweet, the literal cherry on top. She handed my companion their shake and even said "Thank you!" I almost cried. A ray of sunshine after the storm. Then, just when I thought it was over... here comes Adidas Pants girl again, returning with my change. She didn't hand it to me -- she threw it like a coin toss at the county fair. I don't even think it was the right amount, but at that point, I was too emotionally drained to count. Now listen... I get it, everyone has bad days. But if you're gonna serve milkshakes with that much attitude, at least wear slacks and some dignity. Take a note from Chick-fil-A -- they serve kindness with every combo. Anyway, I will not be returning until Adidas Girl is gone. Thank ya kindly. read more

Giving a one-star because half a star is not a thing... Stopped by this Sonic today (6-11-23) around 1:30PM with the family. As you enter the parking lot we parked in stall #18, which is across the driveway from the kitchen. I pressed the red button which was answered without anything being said then shut off. I pressed again, a woman's voice spoke very fast then hung up. Getting flustered I pressed the red button again (several times), the woman's voice came over the speaker again, speaking very fast, she said, "we are not taking orders to the stalls on that side." Then promptly hangs up again! I pulled out of stall and parked in the stall directly behind me (stall #17) and pressed the button again. Immediately the same woman's voice comes over the loud speaker; I inquired why they wouldn't take my order on the other side of the driveway, she explained that they were "extremely short-staffed and can't deliver food all the way over there". I asked, "are you kidding?" To which she hung up immediately!!! ***REMEMBER CUSTOMER SERVICE IS YOUR JOB*** I got out of my vehicle and went inside and asked to speak to the manager. When he came out he met me with the same level of enthusiasm and care which I have already received. I told him what I just told you and asked him if this was a joke. He justified this practice by stating, " we only have 2 carhops and they can't go deliver food all the way over there." I said, "it's ten extra steps, bro!" And continued to express this is not good customer service. Someone from this franchise should have a real heart-to-heart with not only the staff but the managers as well. I know in the grand scheme of things losing my service today didn't make a difference, but this attitude will cause me not to return to this location in the future and I hope deters someone else from stopping to receive such poor customer service. A breakfast burrito isn't a difficult thing to make. It only has a couple of ingredients. You would think it's a no brainer. Obviously not. My husband brought breakfast home from Sonic today. My breakfast burrito had only burned bacon in it (I know this because I took it apart to pick out the burned pieces). It's not that difficult to make sure that you don't feed burned bacon to your customers. I don't know of anyone who prefers burned bacon. Fail. Do better. read more

The "employees" at this location are literally THE WORST. Ordering online: why have an option to have no ice in your drink, when 80% of the time....MOSTLY ICE! I love sonic and try to be gracious with people who work there because they're severely underpaid, but this one is just so bad I had to leave a review. I go to this one pretty regularly out of convenience, but I still get extremely frustrated. Sometimes they don't answer the speaker, most of the workers are unfriendly, and half the time my order is incorrect. On top of that, even if you order on the app it's a gamble if you'll have to wait 30 seconds or 30 minutes after you check in. Do not go to this sonic. read more

Sat at the stall since about 9:30 pushing the button watching workers ignore to make eye contact even pressed the buttons in other stalls continued to get ignored until I eventually went to the drive-through where they say our kitchen is now closed. Still, i can clearly see and hear them taking other peoples orders absolutely unprofessional but I guess what should you expect from a sonic employee! We let them know that we had been sitting in the stalls for close to half an hour and they just pretty much said it is not their problem so if your diabetic with low sugar and need just a small little hot dog or snack with over a half hour before closing time they would rather watch you die! So I recently discovered a new way to be more reclusive. Anyways, I recently discovered mobile ordering, which even though they've been having mobile issues. I am really good and perfectly efficient in being able to explain how I want my burger, but it feels so much easier just sending it to them in there sonic codes and at this point I hit ASAP, pay w/ the mobile app, and by the time I leave my apartment I get there, type my stall #in and it appears in maybe a couple minutes. But let me be real, do not clog them up w/ ASAP orders if you know and can choose 30 minutes, if you're the type that takes 1/2 an hour to get around Nac Like some folks I know. Also don't give these poor hard-working folks grief. Mistakes happen, is that how YOU want to be talked to? If you can afford to tip $1 and literally I've seen a girl do a 180 over being give a tip. I could tell she must not of had the best day so far, and I wasn't even sure how much longer she had, I just could tell she wasn't having her best day, she almost sadly thanked ME, told ME to have a good day and went to walk off... but I,unemployed by the way, had $1 in my wallet after having a few bucks and Said "Wait!" And handed her the $1 and I know that made a better impact on her day based on the genuine smile on her face, so when you pull up in you're caddy's, suburbans, y'all know, that $1 you could spare could make an employees day. I do it every chance I get... unfortunately lately I haven't had any cash. Or much $. I recently ordered a burger meal and paid extra for onion rings. When i recieved my order it had tots instead of onion rings, when i asked about it they said they were out of rings and left it at that. I wrote an email to the company about getting taken for the price of a premium item so the replied with an offer of a coupon for free rings with purchase. Once upon a time I was a Sonic regular. I use to love their food, smoothies, and Mocha Java Chillers. Over the last five years or so, the quality of the food has gone down at every Sonic location that I would visit and the last time I went to order a smoothie or java chiller, was told that they had discontinued both of them. When I saw the Custard Concrete advertised, I really wanted to try it. My "Dark" Chocolate Oreo was extremely bland and not "dark" chocolate at all; it was even lighter in color than milk chocolate. My husband said that his Vanilla Heath Bar custard was also extremely bland. I am completely finished with Sonic no matter what gimmick they may advertise in the future. When I have a chain fast food craving from now on, I will stick to Whataburger or Wendy's for the food and McDonald's or Dairy Queen for the shakes, frappes, and smoothies. read more

This Sonic is notoriously slow. Service is almost always subpar. Food is hit-or-miss. Happy hour is usually not worth the wait.

What is going on with this Sonic? I was there at 8:40 am on a Sunday and they were not open for breakfast. My relative says he can't go there for breakfast during the week because they are not open when he goes to work around 6:15. Most Sonics are open at least by 6:00 am. I sat there for several minutes and watched as 4 or 5 cars backed up and left since they weren't open so late on a Sunday morning. Used to love this location but it has recently goe downhill. My last 3 experiences at this location were awful. After tonight I will not be coming to this location again. I showed up at 9:45 to grab a quick bite and they close at ten. When the worker asked for my order I told them what I wanted and the lady responded saying..
