This is me passing on the way to work so I can't turn around!!! Tonight I ordered the double burger, waited in line a whole 15 minutes probably more, with fries and drink!! The burger did not have the ingredients just meat and cheeses and she asked did I want everything and I said YES!!! The fries were so greasy like they had them all day and they just redropped them!! Rude service at the drive thru. When driving up to intercom no acknowledgement. We were waiting for a good 3-4 min before we had to ask for someone. After that some young person got on and asked if we could hold on in which we were ok with but then a few seconds later in a rude way he said to go ahead with our order. We decided to leave at that point to avoid the risk of getting our food spit in. Never going back to that facility. We decided to go to the one in Goose Creek on St James. I didn't receive my food until 11:10pm and Watch the employee hand my order to a different car 1st, walk back in with that order and walk directly back out to me. there was nobody in the DT, w/ 2 other vehicles in the bays. When I get home. The hotdogs are ice cold, and the worst was the onion rings were hard and chewy. I've been a rest. Manager/GM for 20 years and these were absolutely terrible. First time at Sonic. I like the easy ordering process with the entire menu right at your fingertips. I ordered the Super-Sonic combo with no salt on the fries and it came out after about 5 minutes just like I ordered, no salt on the fries and no ice in the coke. Flavor and looks get a 3.5 star probably a little longer wait than the counterpart chain but even the board indicates they are hiring which means just like every other restaurant being short-staffed Hamburger was just ok, nothing to brag about and I am still looking for something comparable to my benchmark Fuddruckers but 10 bucks for the combo ain't bad for a chain considering everything is going up thanks to the overheated economy of 2021 and the resulting uncontrolled inflation Getting out was easy driving to the back street to the light read more

My family and I came to sonic today at happy hour, and I ordered a few meals after having a long road trip- the food was OK not much to talk about in terms of quality. It wasn't bad by any means but the drinks- I ordered sweet tea mixed half-and-half with unsweetened, which I understand might've gotten mixed up and they gave us unsweetened instead, but I also ordered cold brew coffee, and it had rotten milk in it. The only reason this isn't a one star review is when I came back and explained the situation they replaced my drinks immediately. The service was good, but the quality control to let a spoiled drink out of the restaurant is embarrassing. read more

I am basing this review on my visit today. I stopped in for happy hour to grab a slush & of course there was a short line in the drive-thru & a little bit of a wait, but nothing major. The young man that took my order & brought out my slush was so nice, friendly & respectful, I almost couldn't beleive it! He was very sweet & I appreciated his manners. It took a few mins to get my slush, but nothing too unreasonable. Overall, a good experience. My biggest issue with this location is the layout. It always seems difficult to get in & out, but otherwise, no complaints. read more

This has to be the best Sonic Drive-In I've ever been to. When I pulled in the stalls were crowded and I thought "Great, I'll be waiting forever!", but that wasn't the case at all. I ordered my food and it was at my car in less than 5 minutes, which is a record for any Sonic I've ever been to. The server bringing out the food was nice. When I got home I was expecting my food to be cold because of how fast it came out, but to my delight my fries and burger was super fresh and cooked just right. I was very impressed. read more

This sonic has recently gotten (or maybe not recently? It's been a while...) some upgraded screens at their drive-in stations. They show your entire order, let you pay, let you see what stage your order is in.....very neat! I am a fan of their boneless wings and their vanilla waffle cone, so of course I will keep coming back. My service has always been prompt, and I appreciate that they tell me in advance if something is going to take extra time to prepare. read more

Craved a milkshake late (10:30pm) one night, and Sonic was a short drive away. Lord have mercy, but they have a plethora of shakes, floats, and similar things making decisions complicated, but in a good way! I got a peanutbutter milkshake and it was excellent! Quite a change from a simple chocolate or vanilla shake. And there were even more exotic shakes to be had. I've also eaten here. The burgers are good, but can be lukewarm when you get them. I've had a footlong hotdog too, which was tasty. All in all, decent, but not the greatest I've had. The shakes will bring me back, the food only when it's the closest and I'm starving. You have to love Sonic because you can get literally almost anything to quell your fast food, fried, bad-for-you craving. Onion rings? Check. Mozzarella sticks? Check. Hamburgers? Check. Corn dogs? Check? Eleventy billion shake/slushy/limeade flavors and combinations? Check. We were heading out of town and decided to stop in because we knew it was our last shot at food for a while (deserted land of 26 to Cola be damned). We pulled the car into a spot and placed our order after menu overload. It took FOREVER to get our food. If you're in a hurry, do the drive thru. They were packed, but it was still too long to be fast food. The cheeseburger was really good for fast food. I've been to sonic tons of times but never ordered a burger (coconut cream pie shake = omg good). I didn't realize you have to tell them mayo, mustard, or ketchup. Lame. I don't live here anymore, but came back for a visit on 6/16 and popped in at Sonic since they don't have them where I live anymore. The lady (name began with an S) that took my order had an attitude. As I was giving my order, it was raining outside and the rain falling off of the roof of the overhang was quite loud. The music playing outside was also loud. It sounded as though she didn't quite get what I was saying so I repeated myself. She replied with a condescending attitude tone "yeah...... Uh... I know". After I ordered my son's meal, she asked with the same attitude, "is that it?" she sounded annoyed by my presence. I then ordered my own meal. After she asked again in the same annoyed tone, "is that it?" I told her, "yes ma'am" (2 attitudes do no make for a right) . The sound box went silent. The screen wasn't working. I had no idea if she got my order and was working on it or not. She didn't read back the order that I couldn't see on the frozen screen. She didn't bother telling me the card machine wasn't working. I used my own deductive reasoning to figure out if the screen didn't work, the card reader likely wasn't working. I told my son we'd wait 15 minutes and if no one came out, we would just leave. Then Alex came out with our food about 10 minutes later. Alex was pleasant and asked if we needed anything else. He told me he would have to run my card inside and it was running slow but would be back. He did as he said. He even came back later to ask if we were still doing OK. Alex is going places with his positivity. S could learn a few things from him. I would have given 3 stars, but crappy bad attitudes will turn me away regardless of how good the food may be. read more

The roller skating waiter was fun, energetic, engaged and totally awesome. He just made the two minutes of waiting fun and I felt it was worth a shout out. Exceptionally bad service... I first went to the drive thru waited at least 2 min....no reply... I then began saying hello hello and got nothing. So then I go to the drive up kiosk pushed the red button and still waited. So then finally 3 minutes later someone responds and says sorry our system is down and we can't accept credit cards. My reply was ok that's fine. Instead of the lady saying ok what's your order she proceeded to ask if I had cash. Stopped in for a late dinner tonight and the drive thru window was not working so I couldn't order there. I had to drive up to a drive in space and order there, so that prolonged my wait and order time. Finally, I get my food and get home before I realize my Honey BBQ Boneless Wings look very soupy. Like they were swimming in Haney BBQ sauce. So, as I'm getting a plate to put them on I go to take a bite of one and it's freezing cold.
