RUDE employees! I ordered a corn dog kid's meal at the drive through, and a medium Oreo blast. The chatty-cathy young lady working the window proceeded to tell me that she could not give me a medium blast with a kid's meal. She then proceeded to continue to talk over me until I had to firmly interrupt her and explain that I wanted the meal, AND a medium blast, not the meal WITH a medium blast, and that she could do a Diet Coke with the meal. She then got snippy, gave us our total and cut us off and would not respond when my husband tried to order his cheeseburger. We were then met with the utmost sarcasm at the window, had to finish our order there, and then after I was given my food had to pull around and park to wait for the cheeseburger, which was practically thrown through our window when it was brought to us. I just got food through the drive-through window. I ordered a classic chicken sandwich combo with tots well done. I was running late back to work and began eating in my car. The tots were cold, but the chicken sandwich was still ice cold! I keep a food thermometer with me because I need to keep some medication at a certain temperature. I measured the chicken and it was 52 degrees. 52 DEGREE CHICKEN CAN KILL SOMEONE!!! I threw the entire meal away. There is $11.30 wasted. read more

I am less interested every time I go here. The pretzel bun dog is what I got last time and it was all bread. The bacon was the only good part and the dog itself was disgusting. After seeing the commercials for the half-priced shakes after 8pm, my son and I decided to go to our local Sonic last night. We were extremely disappointed. After we placed our order, it took approximately 25 minutes for us to get our food. This is completely unacceptable. There only seemed to be a couple of employees working, and while it was a bit busy, the employees didn't seem to be in any rush to help customers. Also, the machine that accepts payment where we were parked happened to be broken. This wouldn't have been a big deal, except the employee took my bank card out of my sight and into the building without even asking for my permission. I did not feel comfortable having my bank card being taken out of my sight. That was unacceptable. Between the lousy service and the way my payment was handled, I won't be coming back to this location. The employees need to step it up, and the machines need to be in good working order. There are too many other good places to eat to waste time and money at Palmdale's Sonic. read more

i love sonic. just not this one. they NEVER get the order right, especially in the drive through. yeah, just like pesci said - they EFF YOU IN THE DRIVE THROUGH!! one example - my husband is allergic to nuts. so he ordered a sundae without nuts. no, they didn't dump nuts all over the top - just one. that he found after it was in his mouth. luckily, he spit it out and had no problems. that was a close call and really pissed us off. i've been to a lot of sonics and was so happy to have one nearby - finally, i don't have to watch the commercials and wish. so sad that they are not a good example. i will still go there for a cherry limeade or some tots once in awhile. thats about it. negatives - service, quality, alway "out of" something, drive through is a joke. positives - when you're craving sugar, this is the place. the tots are good, too. cherry limeade is hard to screw up. i'm finally done hoping the *next* time will be better. read more

My brother and I decided to get a slushy and we love sonic. But this sonic sucked so much!!!! We pulled up and they took our order.. 30 minutes went by and nothing I had to get out of my car and ask one of the employees. She came back repeating the wrong order and she left back inside to go check again. I walked in and told her to just cancel the order since they never put it in. And she told us that the person who put it in out it in for the drive thru. Honestly I was so mad I waited 30 minutes for 2 drinks. One of the other employees was rude and said just give it to them. I'm giving three stars ONLY because of the drink and shake variety they have. We've ordered food from here about 6 times and have never been impressed and the wait time is absolutely insane. Only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that they no longer serve green chile with their burgers. A buddy of mine and I are from the same area and almost pooped in our pants when they first opened up and much to our surprise they offered green chile cheeseburgers. In my opinion there is only one other place that I would eat a fast food burger. The only thing I like about this Sonic and any other Sonic is their slushies. The food is absolutely horrible and severely overpriced! You can tell that they nuke everything they have and that everything came in frozen bags. I have tried almost everything on their menu and god it's just trash. Typical fast food here. Nothing too special. I don't think I would order food again. The drinks are great. There are too many combinations to list here. Their desserts are similar to a Dairy Queen. Soft serve vanilla mixed with many different toppings. The service was fairly quick and the waitresses are nice. I wouldn't make a special trip out though. read more

I tried the new Custard Concrete vanilla with Heath Toffee and it was the worst. They didn't mix it properly so I had a little bit of toppings on the top, nothing in the middle, and the majority of the toppings in the bottom of the cup mixed with some inedible white powder. Honestly who charges for ranch when someone buys tater tots? It's ridiculous. The tater tot box was half full and there was m&ms in my husbands snickers blast. This isn't the first time we've gone where it's been disappointing but charging for ranch is the worst idea anyone ever came up with. I've worked at fast food places before and I know its hell on earth so I usually refrain from complaining about petty things like service or wait times but I know charging for ranch is what places do specifically to try to discourage customers from asking for it because they're low on stock or trying to save some money on little things. My advice: make more money by giving your customers what they came for (a good experience) and sending out coupons and stop being petty about sauce. It doesnt work. You won't save anything except very little money on inventory that's given to managers at the end of the quarter as an incentive bonus but customers will go where they can get what they want. We all know charging for sauce is never a strictly-enforced company-wide policy and all it does is make the company look petty and desperate for an extra quarter out of my pocket. read more

Typically I really like Sonic, but not this location. I ordered from the drive through, and when I got home, I realized my food was completely wrong. When I reviewed my receipt, not only did they enter the order wrong in the system, they also gave me different food than what was on the receipt. It was terrible. When I called to ask about fixing the order, they said I had to come back that day and that they were going to have to up-charge me to fix the order correctly. No thanks. There are plenty of other burger places that will take my order correctly, give me the correct food, and graciously fix the order in the off-chance they happen to get it wrong. If this Sonic will change their policy on correcting orders, only then would I give them a second chance. read more

But me being me I didn't complain I just took it and went about my day . This wasn't my first time at this location, but it was my first time having an awesome experience at a drive-thru. Usually, drive-thru employees resemble pimply-faced teenagers trying to earn spending cash who still live at home and therefore, no pressure to actually make a decent living and care about customer service. Well, not here. Although the employees are young, I was pleasantly surprised at the level of energetic spunkiness of the cashier and the willingness to accomodate us.
