This wasn't my first time at this location, but it was my first time having an awesome experience at a drive-thru. Usually, drive-thru employees resemble pimply-faced teenagers trying to earn spending cash who still live at home and therefore, no pressure to actually make a decent living and care about customer service. Well, not here. Although the employees are young, I was pleasantly surprised at the level of energetic spunkiness of the cashier and the willingness to accomodate us. Came out of our way to try sonic for the first time (after seeing their commercials for years). Sunday afternoon around 3 shouldn't be too busy, there weren't many people there, but only one server. We pushed the button to order and did not get a response, so we went through the drive though... sat for over 20 minutes before ordering and then another 10 after. The Blast machine was not working, extra disappointing after waiting so long. The food was good, but not worth making an extra trip or waiting that long. read more

10 minute wait to order... 40 minutes for bad service and gross food. While waiting the car next to us sat and smoked a blunt on the curb in front of the "restaurant". Went to drive thru today 11:10 am on a Tuesday, got a kids meal and they got it correct but.... the burger and tots were like warm at best. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON BAD FOOD. If I could give no stars I would. The manager here did not care about customers waiting for their orders and was just on her cell phone. This has got to be the worst service ever. I went to Sonic about a week ago and the line was super long in the drive thru because the little kiosks where you park and order were down. I have never been so disappointed.... I went on my lunch break and it took 15 minutes for me to even order... than another 15 minutes to get my food... Fine I don't mind the wait, they were very busy. However, I ordered boneless wings and asked for extra ranch and fries. I asked the guy for ketchup and he had none and they didn't bring me ranch. Even if I hadn't asked for ranch don't you think you should provide some for wings???? I had to get back to work... I only have an hour for lunch and I was going to be late. 3rd time getting the boneless buffalo wings. We ordered a 12pc and a 6 pc. They kindly gave us one.....one ranch. They were also very generous with the buffalo sauce so generous it must have ate itself making the buffalo sauce non existent. I understand it's fast food but come on. We have literally been waiting years for an opportunity to try Sonic. We finally got the opportunity as we were passing through Palmdale. We placed our order...and the waiting began. Sonic Drive-In and Sonic Drive-In Corporate- I just experienced an extremely rude set of employees at your store. A late night food run turned into a session of unethical behavior from both your drive through employees as well as your General Manager who has absolute disregard for common decency let alone common food service norms. A simple conversation about a policy change turned into your drive through employee using the F word 3 times without any coaching or reprimand behind, what she thought, was a sound proof window. Your GM then backed her behavior by refusing to have a conversation with us saying she said we called her a name and that she didn't hear her use any foul language. I really truly hope someone who deserves to have a quality job replaces both of them. Sara, the drive through employee with a foul mouth, no integrity, and the inability to know her customers could hear her through the window and Karla, the unqualified, under educated in customer service skills, GM, need to be replaced immediately. Sonic, I do not believe they are the image you want to portray; lacking customer service skills and unwilling to listen to feedback regarding the customer experience. You've lost loyal customers today. On a positive note- your Assistant Manager, Michelle, was extremely polite-even when put under pressure- and did her best to try and make the experience one worth returning for. She looked visibly appalled at her GM's behavior. She deserves Karla's Job! I sincerely hope this feedback helps your company continue to be America's "Best drive-in" because tonights' Experience was far from that and has developed this family of 7 to retire as Sonic customers.
