I remember being excited when I found out there was going to be a Sonics in the area since it was always out of the way to get their drinks however this location is just awful. To begin with the customer service doesn't exist. In the both times I'v come here my order not only got messed up but I had to go through a convoluted process to get a refund. For example, I ordered a hot dog, they messed up the order and put in I ordered a hamburger. The cashier took a while to stare at the screen to then tell me a manager needs to provide me a refund. I wait another 10 minutes for a manager. Finally the manager comes out and tell me the refund must be done on the computer they used to charge me, another 15 minutes. Finally, I get a refund and get my order fixed. But wait! Theres more! I then realize I'm waiting 10 minutes for my hot dog and ask the manager again, and I see she had to ask around as to where the order, it wasn't even being made. Very disappointing. read more

Ordered the Green Apple slushy that tasted NOTHING like a green apple. In fact it had no flavor. I took two sips and instantly felt sick. I swear they used dry ice in it or something. Worst service ever. Ive never seen such a clusterf*ck of service before. How many times do i have to yell grilled cheese through that damn drive thru before your employees get it? I said it 10 times and the kid still couldnt get it. The managements obviously has zero control over their emoloyees and did NOT do proper training. Maybe its time for a new manager or supervisors. Ive been in at different times of day and its proven that training has not been done across all the shifts. Or improper training has been done across all shifts. This is the worst sonic ive ever been to. I dont even wanna give it a star. WORST SONIC DRIVE INN I've been too. I was very disappointed to discover that they had discontinued all candies from frozen drinks. The only reason me and my friends came to sonic was for their slushes with fresh strawberry's and nerds (candy). Not only did they take extra long in the drive through. We sat at the window after we paid, watching our drinks just melt before the worker decided to hand them to us. We were at the window waiting for at least 20 min. Was in the area yesterday went and order a double bacon burger meal and a chicken sandwich meal. Took about 15 mins to make, I headed back to my place opened my burger, and I see a long hair hanging off the side of it, so that was a waste. I try to not write negative reviews, but wow, this place deserves all the negativity I'm about to give it, and all the negativity that others have given it before me. Giving this place 1 star is even doing something nice for them. If I could give it negative stars, I would. This was our first (and our last) time at Sonic in Pittsburg. It was Saturday at 3pm. Not a really busy time to eat, but when we arrived, the drive-thru line was about 10 cars deep, so we waited a few minutes and since it didn't move, we parked in one of the stalls and pushed the button. We waited and waited and waited. No answer. So we backed out and parked in a regular spot and decided to go inside. We went inside (there were about 4 other people inside eating), and we were told by an employee that the dining-room (inside) was closed so they could have time to catch up. I'm sorry, but if you're a restaurant, you don't close the dining-room, no matter how busy you get. You tell the people "it might be a few extra minutes since we're a little behind, but we'll get to you ASAP." Unfortunately, that didn't happen. The person who told us was extremely rude. We had five people in our party, so we would have spent $30 - $40 easily. We went to In-N-Out instead. They were more crowded, but they gladly took our business. And one more thing. If the drive-thru is busy, you won't be able to get out of the parking lot, or get around them. The parking lot is so small, there is no place to drive around the drive-thru crowd, even if you want to park in a stall and order from your car. It's the craziest thing I've ever seen. If you park and go inside to dine, and the drive-thru is busy when you get out, there's no way to get out until the drive-thru empties out. Whoever designed and approved that parking lot should find other work, because they did an awful job. read more

My guess is they are currently doing a "Soft" opening at this location. If you come please bring your patience. They didn't have any grilled items, are only letting a few vehicles in at a time (so you will wait in traffic) and are switching between drive thru and stall/car hop service. I suspect this is for training purposes. Regardless, my co-worker and I had a good experience. My Coney dog, tots and diet cherry limeade were good. They enjoyed their popcorn chicken and banana shake. If can deal with the issues I mentioned before, try them out. However you might want to wait a few weeks if you can't. read more

The layout of the parking lot was poorly designed. If you park to eat in the car, be prepared to have to wait until dive thru line moves, because if there is a line in drive thru, you won't be getting out of your parking space . This was my first time at this locations and This place is disgusting. The hours say Saturday 8am-1pm at 10:24am we arrived they said they would open at 1030am.
