Just stopped in during a long trip and was surprised to find this Sonic full and workers filing orders fast considering past reviews. After filling our long order correctly in normal sonic time, we told the car hop (who happened to be the manager) that we were impressed. He said he's new and been in the pisition a month. Highly unfortunate that this is one of the only restaurants open late in the area. We happened to stop in Sonora for gas and decided to visit Sonic because we still had a ways to drive and it happened to be the only restaurant still open. It was approximately 11:45pm and while placing our order we overheard an irate male employee going off in the background about how "this is bull**** and "mother******" that. I understand that they were due to close soon, but they could have easily politely said "we apologize ma'am, we stop taking orders at (insert time)," or simply NOT ANSWERED AT ALL when we pressed the red button!!! I'm sorry if you might have been having a bad day, but there is absolutely NO EXCUSE to speak about/towards your customers in such a way, especially if we were not being disrespectful ourselves! The event concluded with my asking if there was a problem and whether we should go elsewhere, to which our order proceeded to be deleted from the screen, thereby answering my question. Figures that they would end the encounter that way, COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL! I think it's time that guy finds himself a different job, preferably not one in which he has to interact with any living beings... read more

After driving for hours we stopped to grab some food. They had no onion rings or ketchup packs available. They got my husbands order wrong 3 times. They put mayonnaise which he did not ask for on his burger bun. He told them only ketchup, mustard and cheese when he originally ordered. He sent it back and when they came back with what was suppose to be the correct order we noticed all they did was put a small amount of whatever ketchup they had left over the mayonnaise! Unbelievable, we are just passing through so luckily we'd never go back but I'm hoping this review spares some of you from wasting money or time giving them your business read more

Sonic in a west Texas town off IH-10. Nothing great, nothing terrible, staff was what you would expect in a chain fast food.

I was there today around noon. The woman that brought my order out was very nice, my food was good and coffee was delicious. Very good service. Maybe they made some changes after looking at these reviews. read more

Pushed the red button and waited for over five minutes for somebody to finally talk to me nobody ever did observed employees inside drinking drinks and hanging out and then I finally just left and I was the only person at the entire restaurant read more

This was awful. The onion rings were over-cooked to a crisp and all the fried food tasted rancid, a good indication that the fry oil hasn't been changed in a while. Not eve my kids would eat the tots. Don't think I'll ever stop here again. Yuk. read more

Service was awful. Food was terrible. After third time of asking for items they forgot to send with my order, I left without a drink, 2 fries and a corn dog. Spent $46 and got half of order. I told the guy repeatedly no burger had mustard yet 2 out of 3 ordered came out with mustard. read more

My wife and I were driving from New Braunfels to Midland and we figured we'd stop by at a sonic. We found one in Sonora, We figured, "hey can't go wrong with sonic." Well, we did go wrong with this one. When the lady brought out our food, she forgot the fries that are supposed to come with the meal. She rolled her eyes at us and went to go get them. So we started driving and my wife bit into her chicken club sandwhich, and she had to stop eating it. This terrible sandwich tasted like wet dog smells! I took a bite out of it and it tasted as if it the lettuce had been sitting on the counter for days. Fries were soggy, wouldn't surprise me if they swept them off the floor. No napkins and the coke was flat. The dairy queen is no better there either. Stop in Ozona or Junction if you're hungry. read more

Worst Sonic in Texas! I've been several times and on more than one occasion they have gotten the order wrong, how hard is it to cut the tomatoes and add pickles or not add cheese?!! Just stopped by and was told that they were NOT taking orders due to having to fill a school order. Really?!? Get it together, you can't throw an extra party on the grill? Come on! Trust me, the school order couldn't have been very big, it was a cross country team of about 15! read more

i had always wanted to try sonic because a few of my friends have told me that it was pretty good, but we were sorely disappointed. maybe it was just this location, but the service was awful. i know not to expect much from a fast food joint, after all, there's a reason why some people get paid minimum wage. i guess i thought sonic would be different, like how in-n-out is a shining beacon standing out in a sea of customer service lacking fast food chains. the cheese sticks i ordered were not hot. i was expecting them to have just come out of the fryer and to be melted and stringy, but they were lukewarm, breaded blocks of cheese. gross! the ched 'r' peppers (why don't you just turn the 'r' backwards and copy toys 'r' us all the way?) were supposed to come with ranch sauce, according to the menu, but the idiot gave me another marinara sauce. lame! also, when i tried to order the coffee, the operator didn't even know what i was referring to. then she tried to get all lazy and tell me that they didn't have that drink on the menu. i had to tell her that i was looking right at the menu and ordering off it, and if she wanted to come out to the car i could even point it out to her. before lying to me and telling me something isn't on the menu, at least white it out on the outside menus first. the only thing that was good was the iced latte, which was delicious, BUT was filled with so much ice that i only got about 5 sips and it ran out. absolutely ridiculous. read more

It wasn't very good, my family and I went about 2 weeks ago, and our food took a little over 20 minutes, and it was only for 2 burgers and 3 drinks, the employees spent more times on their phones and with friends than actually working, so I wouldn't recommend it! read more
