My family went through the drive thru tonight at the Ruby street location in Spokane and had our order messed up in multiple ways. Check number 253227 at 18:55 on Dec 5th 2020. We ordered a pretzel with cheese and didnt get the cheese sauce. We ordered Mozz sticks, didnt get the marinara. There was an order for buffalo wings which only had a drizzle of buffalo sauce on them only coating a third of the chicken. Asked for ketchup for my daughters kids meal and didnt get any. The most frustrating part is the phone lines to call aren't even working. So upset right now with this location. We even confirmed at the window about the sauces being added. Check your bags of you dare to come here as you wont get helped after you leave. I doubt we will EVER return here. So dissatisfied! read more

I came to update my review because I came to see that they updated their correct hours online so I now understand what is really going on with hours and management. I LOVE the limeades and drinks they have there and the service is pretty good most the time but it but it is a big down side that they run out of products on their menu pretty often. As just an example, they have been out of French toast sticks for over a month. So there has been a good bit of misleading information in the past and a few downfalls but I think they are doing a pretty good job with what resources they have with the staffing shortage going on now. read more

Sonic.. another place i see on US commercials and cant wait for a trip down south of the border.... the one place we always look for is a Sonic.. we get the GPS out and search.. well we found this one about 15min from our hotel... the prices here are great.. i wish the prices here in Canada for fastfood was this low.. but when i see that Americans pay $2.20 for 4l of milk to our $5.99 + .25 dep +.10 cfa for a total of $6.34 for 4l ... i see how Sonic milk shakes are such a low price and they are GOOD!!!!! all the drinks there are good you have to go back over and over to try them all, but i stick for that Blue ocean water stuff.. only a small glass of that because it is sooooo sweet you have to share it . then i will get what ever tropical slush thing they have on that summer.... the burgers mmmmmm great ,the fries crisp, the servers on roller skates fun, we eat at the benches when there because 4 of us in a car eating chilly dogs ans such gets a little messy ....lol . read more

One of my two go-to spots for faster food. I like it. It's different and less traditional and literally was a ton of people's first job in high school. The drive up and park ordering, the roller skaters, it's cool! This Sonic is pretty good food wise. Breakfast and lunch all the fast food fixins, and the service is quick. Meh, it's OK. Better than your average fast food chain I suppose. I used to be obsessed with the place until they expanded into Florida. Then I moved to Oklahoma (where they originated) and they were EVERYWHERE. Once the novelty wears off it becomes another fast food chain. Had popcorn chicken and onion rings. Pop-corn chicken was ok. 2 pieces had big pieces of gristle in them. Was not crunchy enough. Anyway, I've had better. I liked the onion rings despite the institutional batter. I liked the taste and texture. BBQ sauce as ok. The double cheese burger really reminded me of the In-N-Out burger's taste so that was good. We discovered that they forgot about our order when all the lights went out. Pressed the red button and they said sorry we're closed. We said what about our order? And we had to describe our order and it turns out that it just got set aside somehow. So we ended up with cold food and no recourse because everything was shut down. They did not offer a refund or coupon or anything to remedy or cold food. The blaster with Candy Pop Rocks had no more pop in it either. Thanks Sonic. Food was good, but they got part of the order wrong on top of charging us too much! We went to a Sonic in Idaho and ordered for 3 people and it cost the same amount as ordering the same food for 2 people at this Sonic. The Idaho Sonic replaced our combo drinks with the half price shakes and only charged us for the difference of the half price shake. At the Spokane downtown sonic they charged us for the half price shake on top of the combo. When we asked the manager he just kept saying that it was all included which it was not. read more

We lived in Spokane about a year and a half ago and we LOVED sonic. We are here visiting family and were really excited to go back but were very disappointed. All our burger orders were wrong, all 3 of them. The bacon on the burgers tasted stale and burnt. The Frito chili wraps tasted like the fritos had been soaking I'm chili for days. Sweet mother of jeebus, my proverbial Sonic cherry has finally been popped!! The whole experience was fascinating . First, you park your car in this parking space where you'll find the Sonic menu. Then you tell this little box what you'll have, and a few minutes later, a Sonic employee will roller skate to your car with your order. My cheese coney dog had the right amount of chili and cheese, and my tater tots were cooked to perfection. I wasn't a fan of my strawberry limeade due to its carbonation. Isn't balance wonderful? There are three reasons you should eat here. They are also the same reasons you should not here. Eat here because you can eat in your car. This is a drive-in restaurant. You can simply pull up to a menu and place your order from your car window. In addition, you can go through the faster drive-thru. Don't eat here because you will have to eat in your car. Eating in your car is disgusting. There are just so many good reasons to not eat inside your automobile. Sonic's chili covered Coney dogs are really good. However, they are a bit too messy for eating in the car. Hand washing? The second best reason to eat here is the drive-in menu. You can select a variety of drinks, and order them over the intercom. Don't eat here, because there is a wide variety of customizable items on the menu. You will have to order these items via intercom. Every time I order a complicated beverage. I have to repeat it several times. I can't understand the the wait staff, they can't understand me. The intercom ordering system just doesn't work well. The third best reason for eating here, is the wait staff. The car hops are wearing roller skates. It's real cool and entertaining. The third best reason for not eating here, is the wait staff. The car hops hate you with every fiber of their being. You make them wear roller skates. They can't understand what you are saying over the intercom when you order a chocolate Coke and Coney dog. They are upset with you for mixing up your order over the intercom. Finally, they think you are a disgusting freak for ordering a chocolate Coke, and chili Coney dog and eating it in your car. I have waited my whole life to try Sonic. If you live in the Northeast, you understand my pain. They taunt us with their commercials, and then the closest Sonic is like 500 miles away in Virginia. It's rude. So upon arriving in Spokane, first place I went? Sonic, obviously. I love the concept, and how there's a drive through, and ALSO a place to park, order without getting out of the car, and then eat there. They also bring your food to you in roller skates, which is adorable. My burger was just ok. But the option to have tater tots instead of fries made everything OK. I also got a java chiller, and it was DELISH -- way better than a Frappachino or ordinary coffee milkshake. Overall, I'd still come back b/c the burger was on-par w/ what you'd get at the east coast big three (aka mcdonalds, bk, and wendy's), and the other amenities and options make this place better! read more

The jalapeno cheeseburger was fabulous, the shakes were generous and so delicious, and the birthday girl loved her 'pretzel'!! I even received a 10% senior discount!! This Sonic has a special place in my heart. My partner and I go on vacation to the Shambhala Music Festival every year, and this is on the way. So, when we pass it, we stop, at least once. It's always hot when we drive through, so whatever cold drink I order seems to be a God-send, but I still enjoy the flavors. I try to get something different everytime, it's fun. The wait service here seems to always be friendly, as well. However, as a chain, I have to just give it a 3. I'm not a huge fan of their beef, the fries are good, but not the best. This particular sonic used to be really good. Last time I went, I spent around 14$ on a drink and chicken tenders. The chicken tenders had barely any meat and was hard to bite into. I had to bring them back to get ones that actually had meat in them. Then today I went to the drive through, specifically asked if the chicken tenders had meat in them and they lied and said yes. When I got the food, the "chicken tenders" were smaller than chicken nuggets and barely had meat. Our experience was completely wild. My boyfriend and I went for dollar mozzarella stick night and ordered a couple of things. Chicken strip 3 piece meal, 12 wing meal, then 5 orders of the mozzarella sticks. Solid, simple, cool, right? When it was our turn to order, the intercom was glitching out halfway through so it was a little hard to keep repeating but that's just technology being dumb. Taylor read the order back to us and even said "wow what a good deal!" to our multiple orders of mozzarella sticks. We went up to the window and we think we're all cool until he tells us that our order comes out to $46.50. What??? My boyfriend asked what made the order so crazy expensive while they had my card in hand and it turns out that Taylor was charging us for 5 medium orders of the sticks instead of the smalls that were being advertised. Even though over the intercom he even mentioned how we were "getting such a good deal" We had that part of the order resolved, then as we got our food he asked us, "do you guys need any more sauces?" "Ranch, please." He closes the window and continues on and my boyfriend and I sit in silence just waiting while Taylor and I make awkward eye contact. About 2 minutes later he opens the window and says, "did I miss something?" Definitely wasn't pleased with them trying to charge me over 40 dollars for an order that was only about 26. A 20 dollar difference. Will we come back here, sure. It was a super busy night and I've worked food service before, nights where you have deals such as dollar food items are the craziest. I used to go to Sonic more when I lived in AZ & NV they were more closer to me in my community. I stopped at this restaurant for a lunch. Well they have changed. The size of Drinks, Entree, sides were always huge in the past when I was in the south west. Now it seems everything has shrank to McDolnd size. But prices didn't are in my opinion were a little higher then other drive up foods. But that was never a thought with me because you got what you paid for and thier food in my opinion was better then the competition. Well after moving to Spokane Valley we have already eaten at this store 4-5 times. (yes we drive just for Sonic) Last night we went and the order was wrong, (we parked there) the person taking the order was new...it happens, but they fixed it quickly so no harm no foul. Our typical is burger and tots, but I also often order the dog or chili dog as well. I always enjoy the variety of the food and drinks. We have been going close to 8pm to eat lately so we have been ordering the 1/2 price shakes after 8pm. yummy! For a fast food type place it is a 5-star to me. read more

I have been to this Sonic location too many times to count. I have always had great, fresh and hot food. Plenty of delicious cold drinks/slushes/limeade... etc. Wonderful ice cream and shakes. Went recently for a 3.99 burger and shake deal. Was expecting a small burger and a small shake, ahhh was wrong the burger was a normal sized cheeseburger and the same with shake. Such a great special, my family ended up with 3 burgers and 3 shakes. Yay. Not even worth the 1 star i gave but i had to select atleast one I just came thru and ordered a footlong coney dog, chilli cheese tator tots, two corn dogs, honey bbq boneless chicken wings. They messed everything up i mean e everything. For starters i only got 1 corndog and that was burnt. My coney dog was barely dusted with chillie cheese. They didnt give my my honey bbq wings i stead they gave me honey bbq sauce. They didnt put chilli on my tator tots. Honestly the worst sonic I've ever been to. I tried ordering something off the "secret menu" which isn't so secret and I was told I couldn't have it because they had no idea what it was. His excuse was "only been working there for 3 months. I've worked at sonic and we were told to learn it. I've been all over the country to sonic and never had this problem. I was also handed a drink that had the lid falling off and was wet and sticky all over the sides of the cup, and also received no napkins in the bag. Never go here if you want good service.
