Descent burgers but way OVERPRICED for what you get. We got 2 double cheeseburgers and both were greasy and the patties were so thin that it looked like 1 thin patty on the burger! We also paid $26.68 for 2 double cheeseburgers and that did not include fries. Fries were an extra $8. Would never come back here. Service was also very slow and not friendly. The place itself is cute.

went here for the first time and first off the service was amazing, the workers were so welcoming and smiley. they're quick with your order and are good with special requests. The manager conor was so sweet! and they're kitchen is open so you can see them making these amazing burgers that were so delicious! thank you shelby's

Been dying to come here! Stopped in on a Saturday around lunch time and it was basically empty. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. The outside patio is very cute and the interior is all tall bar tables. We ordered the Shelby 350 burger, fries, the Oklahoma burger, and an orange creamsicle shake. All of it came out quick and was so delicious. The fries were a huge portion (between 2 people we had lots left over). Will be coming back for their boozy shakes!

I absolutely LOVE this place. I finally tried it for the first time and I am so sad I didn't try it sooner. The vibe inside is so cute and decorated so well. The chocolate milkshake tasted like a blast from the past and was so delicious. The burger...y'all I'm telling you this is the best smashburger in town. The patty is so thin and crispy and cooked perfectly. The cheese is delicious and we absolutely loved the fries and tots. This place needs more love! Amazing staff and quick service!

I had read mixed reviews for this place so I decided to try it for myself. The burger was decently sized and a true smash burger. The fries were a large portion and very middle of the road in taste. A couple things I wasn't a fan of (and why this wouldn't be a 4/5 star review): if you charge for sides of sauce, you should fill up the entire container. Both were half full with sauce so about enough for less than half the fries. The "spicy" ranch is ranch mixed with horseradish instead of hot sauce (I feel like that should be specified). Things did seem pricey (even though everywhere is these days) but $10 for a 16oz shake is pretty crazy. Lastly, you can't order a combo meal, which leaves you ordering a burger and a large order of fries, if you want to try both. Overall, glad I tried it but most likely won't go again.

Way over priced grease bags with tiny portions. Not sure how they are staying a float and who's buying this plastic food at triple the price. Off style Atomic Style inside, lots of metal very uncomfortable. Too much seasoning on small portions, probably easy to do with such small portuons. Service wasn't particularly bad, but not great. Won't be going back.

Tots very greasy, hot honey sauce was yummy, seems bit overpriced, I almost payed 10$ for a side of tots.

In a word--terrible. I mean, usually I can find something nice to say about a place but not here. The prices are out of this world high, which isn't always bad if you get a good value but there's no value here, just a dried up piece of burger meat, cooked well past an inch of its life! Sure, smash burgers are supposed to have nice crispy edges but they have to leave some flavor in them! I've had good smash burgers that were juicy & flavorful. Again, not here. Did I mention the prices?!? $19 for a supposed triple burger that probably contained less meat than a quarter pounder! The fries? Meh. They were pretty hefty sticks but lukewarm and soggy. Add $5 for a canned soda and it's the trifecta of disappointment. Some people may be able to swing $55 for a burger meal for two but not us. Next time it's out to East Trent when we're feeling hangry.

Great smash burger! I do not love truffle fries, but all is good! Clean and nice young people working there.

Maybe an off day but not good burgers. Average at best. Very thin meat patties and overcooked. Too expensive for the quality of food.

1/16 inch skinny burger patty that's greasy and simply not worth it. If you want protein with your meat you won't find it here

I was in Spokane for a conference and stumbled upon Wooden City because it is on the Spokane "where…read moreto eat list". A deeper dive showed a good possibility of gluten free options, so I made the reservation. I was in town on a Monday, just after Hoopfest, but they were the kind of busy where a reservation should always be made I think. My table was ready and I sat in the bar at a high top table. I think I would choose "in the dining room" next time. My server was friendly and quick, as well as knowledgeable about gluten free options. There is even a separate menu that lays out the dishes that are already gf or could be made to be. Love this, always. I ordered the summer salad to start. It was amazing. Flavorful. Fresh. The mint wasn't overpowering, the watermelon was the perfect ripeness. It was so good. I would try to recreate it but it was done so well, and I know I couldn't hit that dressing in the same way. Get it while you can. For my main, I had ordered the scallops in my brain before I even arrived. The risotto was a little soupy, but the flavor was SO good. The corn came through and it went so well with the scallops. The tomatoes were quite over salted, but as long as I didn't eat them alone, it was alright. The scallops were perfectly cooked and I felt like the portion was appropriately sized for the dish, even though there were only 4. My server really made the experience enjoyable. The atmosphere was busy but the booths looked like they could be cozy. The prices were on the higher end. But for a special occasion, it was worth it. I really wished I'd had room for dessert. I will surely go back the next time I am in town.

I bought two Margherita pizza's. One from Wooden City and one from Barrelhouse so I could do a…read moretaste test after not being able to decide which one to go to. First off, I was looking for an authentic Napoli style pizza. Like a fresh red sauce from crushed tomatoes and a beautiful chewy, pillowy, yet charred crust. The verdict: Wooden City is the winner! The crust is really really good! The sauce is a bright beautiful tomato sauce that looks like crushed tomatoes however, the sauce was lacking flavor:( I would give this pizza a 3 out of 5. The crust is a 4 1/2 star but the sauce lacking in flavor..brought it down to a 3. Cute place, very pleasant friendly staff..way friendlier vibe than Barrelhouse. The boys are easy on the eyes for younger girls on the hunt! Lmao Don't bother with the Margherita pizza at Barrelhouse. Thank God I only paid $12 for the Margherita Monday deal of half off! The crust was horrible! Dominos has better crust! Costco pizza's had a better crust! The sauce has flavor, very garlicky like fresh garlicky but more of a paste with a load of oregano in it. The cheese didn't have that fresh taste I was hoping for. However, they are known for their Detroit pizza's which I haven't tried but if it's the same sauce, I would pass. Not saying it's bad but it's just not MY cup of tea whether it's for a Detroit style or any pizza. Now you don't have to guess which place has a better Margherita pizza. I wouldn't even pay $12 at Barrelhouse for a marg. Would I come back, yes, if I were in my 20's.. lol but since I'm older and the food is more important to me...no...:/ But hey, maybe their other pizza's are better! I can see a salty pepperoni being good!
