Only got 2 stars because the woman inside was very helpful and very polite. By far the dirtiest sonic I have ever seen. Everything is sticky and wet and torn apart inside. I went to this Sonic today and honestly it was a mess. The entire place looked dirty and poorly maintained, definitely not the kind of environment you want to order food from. It gave the impression that cleanliness is not a priority at all. I ordered a smoothie and it was completely watery, like it had zero flavor and was just watered down syrup. It was nasty and not worth the money. Between the condition of the location and the quality of the drink, this visit was a huge disappointment. Management seriously needs to step in and get this place cleaned up and running properly. Right now it feels like somewhere the health department should take a look at. I can definitely see this place shutting down soon. Customer service is horrible, you feel like you are bothering them when you order your food. They always give you unnecessary attitude. Service is horrible as well, they don't even mix my ice cream blast anymore. From what I can see through the drive through window, this place has been unkept for a while. SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE! We went in with a smaller group to order, the order in or out area was empty when someone finally came out the service was okay but slowly went to sh*t! All the orders were mixed, missing or forgotten about. Food and drink items were missing from bags of which WE PAID FOR!!! SO FRUSTRATING!! We were in there for well over an hour, it was ridiculous. I am beyond disappointed. What was supposed to be a Sunday treat for my teenage son turned into a miserable 45-minute ordeal. We pulled into the drive-thru at 1:10 PM and didn't crawl out until 1:56 PM. With the lobby closed, you are essentially trapped in a line that doesn't move. The service was a disaster from start to finish: * Incompetence at the Speaker: The attendant didn't even know their own menu. We literally had to explain that the items we wanted were listed right there on their own mobile app. * Chaos at the Window: When we finally reached the window, they still screwed up the order. We were forced to wait even longer while the cars behind us were served and went on their way. * Terrible Food Quality: When the food finally arrived, it was wrong AND cold. I don't understand how you mess up a smashed burger. It was drowned in so much sauce, lettuce, and onions that you couldn't even taste the meat. It was an inedible mess. Sonic Stoughton needs to just close its doors and throw the whole location away. When you have McDonald's, Burger King, and Wendy's all within walking distance, there is absolutely no reason to waste your breath here. We will never be back. read more

My friend and I stopped by early June of this year to grab a couple burgers and drinks for our drive back to NYC around 2 PM on a Sunday. We wanted to park in the drive in stall to order but all of them were full and the only ones that were not had broken screens. The drive thru itself was super crowded so my friend decided to go in and order for us while I did some work in the car. It took him over 40 minutes to order and receive the food. When he finally came out we saw the burger and drink I ordered were both wrong. My friend went back inside and tried to get it changed for us and that took another 20 minutes. Food itself was not up to par with other Sonics but at that point I was so hungry that I didn't care. The whole place just seemed like such a mess and was the complete opposite of fast food. read more

We pulled up to the drive in orders, and waited for 10 minutes after pressing the service button 3 times, we decided to go through the drive thru. They took an additional 5 minutes to speak to us, and after hearing our order they told us to drive up. They swiped my card, and immediately told me there was "a lock or something" on the card rudely. We collected our items, 2/4 of them being incorrect. We ordered two ocean waters with limes (we received no limes) and tater tots. To our disappointment they were crinkle fries. I always love coming here for the food and the service but this last time was the absolute worst service I've gotten. I put the order in at 4:45 was told that the order was ready around 4:52 and that someone was coming out to my car and no one ever showed up. When I the button, I was told repeatedly that the stall was closed even though they told me that someone was coming out with my food and once I went inside the girl at the register took the person in front of me's order didn't even look at me and walked right back into the kitchen for almost 10 minutes. Absolutely unacceptable. I get things get busy and I've worked in fast food myself, but that was absolutely unacceptable service. Don't say someone's coming out with the food if the stalls are closed. Took my honey out as a treat for supper because he loves sonic, but it was very disappointing. The food did not come out hot. Some of the stuff was super spicy above and beyond but it should have been. The server Jakia was wonderful. But that was the only good part about the whole meal, the serving tray was filthy it had been washed. But other food and recent sucks built on thank God our food came in like separate bags of containers. The meal ended up costing us $20 which was ridiculous. It is sonic not some big high price place like IHOP. I definitely will not be coming back here again I just gotten specials in my phone today I knew I was going to a hospital to see a friend in Brockton. I'll be fair in this review. Post Covid! Not al Menu items were available. It was a very hot day out, it was packed, people was aggravated by the heat, orders were moving very very slow so I get it. But what I don't get is. Why are you guys understaffed? On hot days, staff should be held accountable with call out. Especially during your busiest times. The drive through was moving rapidly but the drive-in Not so much. Once I arrived I pressed the button & we sat and waited in the car for an entire 30 minutes. The button timed out and I had to press It again. Another 15 minutes before someone answered. When she did she was very flustered by how busy she was so I TOTALLY understand I've worked fast food before. My other complaint is maybe get your staff to speak more. I have never met so many rude workers as i have at this place , slam the door in your face , you won't even get a smile from these people. If you can treat customers nice why even work in customer service. I work in customer service and i would never act the way they do towards people , disgusting. It's free to be kind. I took out my phone for apple pay (didn't realize they didn't take it) And then i went to transfer money into a different card and she was sitting at the window tapping the straws impatiently (no one was there or behind me) And to be clear i never said anything rude to them or anything just orders at the drive through and this has happened on 2 separate occasions with 2 different workers. We have never been to a Sonic before so when we were driving in Stoughton. MA and spotted this one we decided to stop and grab a quick lunch. The food was miserable, my chicken sandwich had obviously been sitting for several hours, it was overcooked, dry and hard. My husband's chicken tender dinner was the same, looked like it had been under a heat lamp for hours. I ordered tots as my side, my husband asked for fries- we both got fries. I had my first experience with Sonic and I was very pleased I Tried all kinds of food so I would have a good idea how the food really was. It was awesome and just as good as I thought it was going to be. We did our order online then parked in the take out lot. Pedro was our delivery guy, High Kudos to Pedro and for explaining how Sonic online works. Oh my the chicken tenders were so Juicy I wanted more but we shared. Good to know. The chili fries were amazing just the right amount of chili so you got some with each bite! Onion rings were too think but good. The cheeseburger was delicious, just how I liked it, but no bacon which I ordered, not a biggie, just a little disappointed. The foot long Hot dog made up for missing bacon! I loved the pretzel too. The only reason this gets above a 1 star is because the people inside are absolutely wonderful. My first time at Sonic, not knowing what to expect but HOLY SHIT WAS THAT BAD. Like I said, the people inside were very friendly and answered all my questions and got the food out quick, however the food was godawful. I feel as if the food took at least 2 years off of my life. If you've ever been to Canobie Lake Park, you know the food is not good but like it's the only place to go. Sonic is worse than Canobie food except you decided to go there. You did this to yourself. Sonic is my own personal purgatory. The juxtaposition of the friendliest staff in the world to the torturous food. Thank you Sonic, for this unique experience, I hate you my sweet child. First time ever at a Sonic. We walked in so can't comment on the drive thru. The place is narrow and small as it seems most of the sales come via the drive thru. The menu was overwhelming and cluttered. The girl messed up our order but in her defense we were all over the place. The portions were much smaller than expected. For the price of a medium tater tots you'd think you'd get more. Chili cheese tater tots weren't bad though. Unfortunately, I had some serious issues later after eating all the fast food. At one point, one of the workers came out from the kitchen to change the channel on the TV... didn't matter that I was watching it. Think he was trying to find a sports game but then left it on a channel they didn't have a subscription for. Thanks for the blank screen indicating no service. One time was all I needed at Sonic. Should've known to not go when there was nobody there for lunch, parking lot is dirty along with a number of bays that are clearly broken. Ordered a couple of frito chili burritos that was just ok, didn't add onions or jalapeños as asked/paid for. Fries were cold and my Cinnabon bites didn't come with frosting as they should have. I've probably stopped here about 10 times since they first opened a few years back. On top of their game at first, of course, but I feel like this place is run either by an absentee franchise owner or one who really doesn't care. You'd figure Sonic would care -- this place would probably have its franchise revoked by McDonald's or Wendy's or any other chain. It's a horrible experience for a first-time Sonic customer. Widely advertised menu items aren't available, the service is suboptimal, etc. I wonder if this is the same franchisee who shut down their Sonics in Wilmington and one or two other places.
