Lunch is usually when I stop in and it does get very busy so expect to wait a few minutes. There's also only two to three people I ever see working so be a little considerate as well. 1 star is one star too many for this location in Winder, GA. ! Not aware of how horrible the food was packed and how bad it tasted until getting home with it. 1) ord'd 2 FootLong Chilli coney dogs (They were flattened and mashed to the box) 2) Tator tots were stone cold, greasy, and unidentifiable! 3) Ched/R/R peppers undercooked and cold The food was horrible and belonged in the trash. When I pulled in the parking lot, there was one truck in the drive-thru already at the window. The rest of the ​parking lot was empty. I pulled into a slot, pushed the red button, and waited for over 10 minutes. When I got tired of waiting there, I went to the drive-thru. There were 2 cars in line. When I got the microphone, I was told there would be a delay because they were "behind." Behind what? When I arrived there was one car that had ordered and no one else in sight! I have been twice in a past two weeks and there is a guy that's taking the orders and he absolutely does not listen. You ask for a large milkshake and the screen will immediately say medium, ask for a Route 44 limeade and screen will say large. Ordered a popcorn chicken and asked for honey mustard and below it says "no sauce". After getting everything corrected the food comes out and it's a medium milkshake and a large limeade instead of what we ordered, no honey mustard for popcorn chicken and they tried to double charge me for my order prior to me showing the receipt. Update: months later we decided to give them a try for lunch today. The food was okay, warm and what we ordered. But we got 2 large blue powerades and one of them was significantly lighter than the other. We noticed this when we got home (we live around the corner) and my husband tasted it and said it tasted like water. My husband took the drink with the receipt back up to sonic to ask for a replacement that wasn't watered down and his experience was completely ridiculous. He parked in a spot and pressed the button and let them know he had just been there and his drink wasn't right and he needed a replacement. He waited 10 minutes and nobody came out so he stopped a carhop girl and told her the same thing and showed her the drink and she replied that it was a blue Powerade and he told her she could try it if she wanted but it's not blue Powerade. She then literally just walked away from my husband and he stood there and watched her bring food out to 4 other cars until he finally assumed he must have been brushed off and he left the drink on the sidewalk and came home. My husband feels this was related to his race and that if I went to get the replacement (I am white. He's black) that I would have had no issue. I hate to think this is accurate but I have never heard of any restaurant not being willing to fix a drink that is incorrect. And the way this girl walked away from him and said nothing and then helped multiple other people while glancing over at him periodically was ridiculous. So I wanted to give less than a one star review. Went there today with my daughter and ordered drinks. Simply put only wanted one unsweet tea and a couple of diet Cokes. Got the unsweet tea and the diet Cokes, and tasted them before I pulled off due to past experiences. Unsweet tea was perfectly fine. Diet Cokes were almost translucent meaning no diet Coke mix and almost all soda water. And I mean the colors were lighter than my unsweet tea. I asked the young lady at the drive-through to change them out and check the tanks. She was very rude and stated that's how our diet Cokes look. I told her no this is not how high coat should taste. Please check your tanks and I would like a new one. She got snotty and said, would I like anything else and I said no let me speak to the manager. Spoke to the young lady who was supposedly the manager who was much better mannered but also said this is how their diet Cokes are. So, simple thing to consider is if you want a Diet Coke that does not taste like bland soda, please do not go here. Horrible service, and the young girl that was rude in the Apalachee high school letter jacket who had no clue of customer service should be fired. First, while the speakers work, none of the displays or credit card readers work; despite trying to be "efficient" or "fast," you can't be because the owners/managers of this particular franchise don't keep up the technology in the parking spots for each car. Further... I ordered a #10 (chicken sandwich, fries and coke) large sized with a large "Master Shakes" Peanut Butter Fudge shake for dessert. It was delivered to my car, and when I came home, I realized the styrofoam container had no logo, printing, etc. on them. As I was carrying them into the house, they both collapsed, split open and exploded coke and shake all across my floors. WTF? This Sonic is like no other Sonic. The special for the day was one dollar chili cheese Coney dogs. My son wanted no chilli or cheese and they want to charge me full price for a hotdog. It makes no sense. This is not the first time something ridiculous like this has happened at this location. I highly recommend not eating here. This is an update to this Sonic. Today I was charged $.60 for my child's wacky pack meal for cheese. Then they charge me $.35 for each drink for lemon. This location is about to get a cookout next door to it. They need to watch out. They always get the order correct but it takes forever. In their defense- it tends to be super crowded when we go.

I love sonic's food! But every time I go, they do not get my order correct. I always have to ask for marinara for my mozzarella sticks and most of the time I dont get it (or any other sauces that I ask for). I hate having to ask for them to correct my order and never really do but it is frustrating that it is a recurring event. read more
