The place has really good vibes -- modern but cozy -- and it's clearly a popular spot. I got a matcha, my husband had an Americano, and both were really good. We found a seat without any issue. Night Sky Coffee Roasters is just what you want out of a coffee shop. I mentioned to hubby the other day that I wish Winder had a coffee shop and he remarked that there is one, it's just not on the main strip through downtown. So here we are and I'm so excited to have found this tad-bit hidden gem. My go-to is Decaf Vanilla Latte, hot or iced depending on season. Sometimes I'll try something new for whimsy but this is my drink. I react to caffeine but love coffee so I'm not chasing the caffeine buzz, the flavor matters. Here, the house roast hits! It's strong but smooth. This is what I want my coffee to taste like. I also got a cheese danish, which is perfectly flaky and buttery with just enough icing, sweet but not sticky sweet. They have a wonderful selection of coffee my fav is the iced lavender latte and they even have a drink selection for my kiddo who loves to have a non coffee treat with mom!! The shop is spacious and pretty perfect for reading a book or working while sitting on the couch or at the bartop. A new addition to Winder!!! I've been dying for a coffee shop to come work at and this doesn't miss. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The ambiance is very relaxed and homey. A place you can come and work from if you need out of your house. It looks like they have a private back room for meetings as well. I've been to many beautiful coffee shops but this one HAS amazing coffee. Most coffee shops aren't consistent and it's sad. But this one has hit every single time we've come. Come check it out! We have been here twice in one week! The staff is so friendly! They are very helpful and even helped us out when our little girl saw dad's marshmallows on his latte and wanted some for herself Thank you Prices are fair, I wish they had cookies or gluten free pastry options, but overall there are some nice food choices. The vibe is really chill and everyone was still chill even though we brought our little girl in with us the second time we went. I am an ex-Elite Yelp reviewer and lost my status due to many years of inactivity on this platform. I am coming "out of retirement" to write this review. That's how wonderful Night Sky Coffee is. This local coffee shop in Winder is the thing we dream about or envision a coffee shop to be through TV and movies. The building boasts original wood floors and an eclectic variety of furniture and seating options. Does your group need a big table, or will a comfy couch be best? Are you solo and prefer a window seat by the antique radio? Or, do you want a quieter seat along the church pew towards the back? Whatever the case, anywhere I've sat (and many times for 2+ hours) has been noticeably comfortable. It's like the owners hand selected each chair, bench, table, bar stool and couch through a thorough and effective butt and back support test. Thank you. To clarify, the furniture is not "designer" or bougie at all and I wouldn't be surprised if most pieces were donated or found at a great deal via FB marketplace. But, this knick knack furniture is charming and most importantly comfortable. They have proprietary roasts and blends of coffee and their menu includes classic coffee and tea options (lattes, espresso, etc.). The coffee is noticeably delicious and smooth - VERY smooth. They have a wonderful selection of Hugo Teas as well. My go to, ironically because I'm a coffee girl, is their "London Fog Latte" with oatmilk. Talk about heaven! This latte comes served with a tea pot and you can request a re-steep once you're done with the first cup. I definitely recommend getting a re-steep. The Hugo Grey holds up beautifully in round two and isn't weak or bitter. They have seasonal concoctions too which are creative and most importantly delicious. I tried an "Earth Day Latte" that included espresso, oatmilk and lavender and pistachio syrup - guys that "Earth Day Latte" was out of this world (it left Earth)! I'm not normally a pistachio flavor person (I enjoy the actual nut but not the "flavor" that's put into desserts or ice cream), but the combination of pistachio with lavender and oatmilk makes for a floral and enjoyable drink. The staff at Night Sky is top notch! They are all fairly young but have personality, professionalism, hospitality and share a passion and knowledge for the coffees and teas they serve and prepare. The owners should be so proud of who they've hired. I love coming in and interacting with their team behind the counter. During my most recent visit, I knocked over my "Earth Day Latte" and it spilled on the floor, the table, and poured onto half of my dress. They gladly made me another latte and helped my family clean up while I wiped down in the bathroom. The staff is amazing and I am so grateful. What makes Night Sky a place of dreams (and TV/movies) is what it provides beyond the menu and service. There are not many charming and unique options for people to go to for creative and personal space. Imagine your writers, your students, your mid-life crisis overworked adult. We all need somewhere we can be present and just sit. Somewhere where there is so much to appreciate and enjoy while you just sit still. I have come to Night Sky to sooth me on depressing days. I have come to Night Sky on happy occasions with family. I have sat in different spots, reading books and writing fiction, eventually ordering $40 of food and coffee/tea over a few hours by myself. You see, this coffee shop is what I need it to be, so much so that I end up being there nearly every weekend. It is my self care. I am so proud and genuinely happy to write this review. Night Sky features small-batch coffee roasted in house thoughtfully prepared by their fabulous baristas. They also have really amazing loose-leaf tea served in the most adorable individual teapots, and some nice things to nibble on (sandwiches, fruit, cereal type stuff) if you need a quick bite. The space has comfortable seating (some of the chairs are vintage UGA library chairs!); it's an ideal place to hang out with friends or work. The owners and staff are very friendly. My daughter and I went for Trivia Night a couple of months ago and the questions asked were SO far off from what they advertised would be going on. We stuck it out because we liked the atmosphere but later learned that the owner doesn't care when a customer ends up in a crises. I was visiting from out of state and our daughter asked if I'd go to Trivia Night with her, we went and llater that evening I couldn't find her extra key fob anywhere in her house or garage. I immediately called Night Sky and my call went straight to voicemail, I left a message; my husband called Night Sky the following morning and his call went straight to voicemail, he left a message. We went back to the restaurant where we went to eat after Trivia and they said that they didn't find a key fob. After calling Night Sky multiple times each day for 2 days and the calls going straight to voicemail...leaving detailed messages...,we finally went back over to downtown Winder (a 25 minute drive from our daughters house), walked in and asked that they check their phone line as we had called several times over a 2 day period and every call went straight to voicemail. The girls response was, "we don't have a phone here, all calls go straight to the owners cellphone and she's been out sick"!! "Say what? " I asked if anyone had turned in a key for for a Toyota Rav4 and she said, "I think so"! Another employee spoke up and said she might have my daughtets key fob. I walked over to her and she asked me, "what kind of car is it"? She was holding the key fob behind her back so she must have heard me ask the other young girl if anyone had turned in a key fob for a Toyota Rav4. We thanked her and my husband gave her a cash reward. The owner called us back HOURS after we retrieved the key for and I explained to her that we called multiple times AND texted her the details, told her that my nerves were a complete wreck and I wished she had called 1 of her employees after receiving our first message/text so that we could have enjoyed our last 2 days in Ga. Night Sky is by far the best coffee place I've ever been to. The staff is very polite and very knowledgeable in the topic of coffee. That sounds ridiculous, I know, but they truly have turned coffee from just a nice drink into a science. Not only can you get a memorable coffee though, but they also are constantly hosting incredibly fun and interesting events such as plant trades, trivia, open mic, etc. I can't recommend going here and trying it out more if you are someone who enjoys a well brewed cup of coffee! read more

What a gem!! We recently relocated to Winder and want to "shop local" whenever we can. We wandered into Night Sky one evening and immediately fell in love with it. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are delightful! We have tried multiple items from their beverage menu since that day and have not been disappointed. The staff members are very open to customizing drinks as well. Not all coffee shops are! We are now regulars, dropping in several times each week. I love this place. I started buying coffee from them when they were at the farmers market in town. I was so excited to see Millie and Charlie open up. The place is absolutely beautiful and the coffee is the best, if you get it by the bag or purchase a coffee drink you can't go wrong. I have often enjoyed their coffee cake yum yum, and have had the pleasure of dropping in at lunchtime and trying their chicken salad as well as pimento cheese sandwiches.
