This is really the worst Sonic in the nation. I ordered the popcorn chicken and cherry limeade. I sat at the window for 10 minutes. This was at the drive through window with 4 people behind me! Ordered 2 chili dogs at 1130, there was only 1 car in front of us. Wait was a little long, so I was hoping it meant fresh hot food. Got home, only 10 min drive, and food is luke warm at best, borderline cold, the cheese was already solidifying. But yet somehow the dog was burnt to a crisp and dry inside. We went and parked and it said to push the red button, which said it was activated. We waited 15 minutes so then we got in the drive thru. There was no way out! We sat and sat another 15 minutes and were trapped. The car in front of us waited a good 20 minutes. When she pulled forward, we just got out of there! I will tell everyone I know not to go to this Sonic! We are both Sonic fans but will never go to the Windsor Sonic again! The corporation should take away their franchise!!!! UPDATE. I really love Sonic however this is the worst Sonic on Earth, for many years running. They have been cited and closed by the Health Department for health code violations. It's an embarrassment to the Sonic Franchise. Save your time and money, drive to the next closest Sonic. read more

This sonic has recently advertised that they got new ownership and they will be better... do not be fooled they have gotten worse. Their customer service and speed of service is unbelievably slow, they forget about orders and do not apologize when they make mistakes. Today I placed an online order for two drinks and waited at my stall for 15 minutes before giving up and waiting at the drive thru to talk to someone in person, talking to someone they immediately knew they had messed up based off their facial expression. She did not say she was sorry or anything just said "oh we should make those drinks for you" so after about 20 minutes after we ordered they still hadn't even STARTED our drinks. Usually at this sonic they make you wait 10 minutes for your food and drinks which is still ridiculous, especially when they give you your food and it is already cold. The drinks and ice cream that they give you often are not even mixed just put in a cup and handed to you because the workers are so lazy. The cleanliness of this sonic is also sub par and I am not sure how they pass health inspections. When you look inside it is always messy and I have seen workers who just sit and play with their hair then immediately go back to doing their job without washing their hands. Corporate sonic really needs to step in and fix this place before it continues to ruin the sonic name! read more

I've never wanted or felt compelled to leave a bad review except for this location. I've given them so many chances but the amount of times I've waited 30+ minutes for them to just take my order forget about how long it takes them to get your food out, is insane. I'm not sure what is happening with this location but somethings got to give they are loosing so much business. Eventually they will either have to improve the way this location is ran or it's going to get shut down. I alone saw at least 6 cars leave in the time it took for my order to be taken and receive my food. Which i had to go up to the window to make someone take my order. I see all these negative reviews, and I have had a couple terrible experiences here myself the most recent one today when I waited 40 minutes and still didn't get any help. What I'd like to know is if everybody knows how bad they are why are we still going? Absolutely terrible. It's a shame that a smaller town like Windsor can't have a decent Sonic. We've had nothing but miserable luck with this location. The drive-thru takes forever, and don't even think about using the parking stalls - just unbelievably slow response. Our order tonight included a small sundae with hot fudge and caramel - and the drive-thru voice responds that they don't make those. What?! We cancelled our order , eventually exited the VERY slow moving line of cars, and drove over to the Sonic in Fort Collins (Horsetooth and Timberline), where we received immediate service! And when we ordered the very same small sundae with hot fudge and caramel, the voice only came back with "great, what else can I get for you?" Windsor Sonic - you guys have 1 YELP star, and that needs to mean something to you. Your customers are unhappy, and we're looking elsewhere. We wanted some quick ice cream and tried to run through the drive-thru, which is usually the fastest. There were no signs, but a car parked in the way of the drive-thru so we couldn't get there. We pulled into a car hop spot and waited for several minutes before being acknowledged. Finally, someone came on and said, "be with you in a minute." Several minutes later, she took our order. When I asked why the screen showed $4.29 instead of $3.99 that is on the menu, she had no answer. I am not going to quibble over $.30. We then waited another 15 minutes or so. I watched an employee go four times to one car. The final time she was carrying a couple napkins. It was clear that there was a social aspect to those trips. I don't usually bother writing a review for fast food - and had I seen the reviews for this location, I would have skipped it altogether. Nothing new to share, just driving home what's already been listed. Really slow wait times for the drive thru (painfully slow), burnt burger, wilted produce toppings, stale/hard burger bun, and cold, limp fries. The only redeeming aspect of this visit was an abundance of Reese's peanut butter cup toppings on our Blast (ice cream treat). I don't visit Sonic often but I will hesitate to visit another location and certainly won't be back to this one. read more

Only in Windsor? Cannot believe I made another horrible choice....to give Sonic in Windsor another try. I've felt compelled to leave comments on this Sonic location dating back to 2018. In the intervening 7 years they have not connected the problem to the source. That being Management incompetence, neglect and apparent apathy coupled with a "workforce" of stoner teenagers who have contempt for customers, no workplace skills and no ambition other than to get high and pretend to have a job. It is unfortunate that Windsor cannot produce a productive, respectful workforce from its teenage population...hmmm...maybe the "management" of those teens is the problem...lack of supervision, lack of parenting, poor role models, lack of accountability, entitlement....help me out here. This isn't just about lousy food and worse service, it's a study in societal decline among the current generations of teens and parents. Get to work folks...fix the problem. read more

If I could given them zero stars I would. We just left the drive through after 5 mins of no one answering at the drive through. We walked up to the window to request help, the two girls and one male worker were all stood inside laughing and would not service us or answer our knocks or calls for assistance. Took 20+mins for 3 burgers and 2 fries. They seem to very unprepared for food orders and really struggle with getting the orders correct. Once the order came out the buns were cold and we needed to heat the food in the microwave. Just a very negative experience. The owner must be too busy counting money than caring. Why even call it fast food if I have to wait 30 for two other cars to be served and an extra 10 minutes for my meal to be made? We literally saw a car leave the line and drive off even though they were next in line because it had been 15 minutes and they hadn't even taken the card from the car in front of them at the window. How on earth can it take you 15 minutes to make one person's food with no line whatsoever? I also immediately realized that they forgot my cinnasnacks and my burger had toppings and sauce all on the outside of the buns, as if they were rushing (there were no more cars behind me). Service at the speed of never. Don't stop here for a quick drink at happy hour. Wait time is usually about 20 minutes even with only 2 cars in line. This time both of our drinks were wrong. We have lived in Windsor a year and have given this sonic maybe a half dozen chances. Every single time the wait time is horrid, the order is wrong, and We are told they don't have things that are clearly on the menu. They forget one of the milkshake ingredients consistently and recently argued with us when we told them they didn't have the Oreo portion of the Oreo milkshake included. You could look at the freaking thing and see it was just a vanilla milkshake. I don't understand why the service is so bad. I'm hoping they go out of business so something worth while can take its place. Don't eat here. Literally anywhere else in Windsor is better. read more

horrible service! they always blame the "high schoolers" so they won't serve them at lunch, and they took away the ability to make multiple orders because of them. high schoolers have nothing to do with me so why is it affecting me??? also they called the cops on me and my friends when were sat in the parking lot 30 min after close. they always get my food wrong, and I have been over charged.
